How can you check the Region block list on your phone?
Thank you
Dial *#1234# in telephone stock dialer. Then I believe you can look up the country codes in wikipedia.

I would only expect the *#1234# to show the CSC file name in which is encoded certain information in relation to:
- the model number of the phone containing the CSC file (eg N9005)
- its home country/region (a three letter code),
- in some cases a single letter (of unknown significance to me) (eg: B)
- month and year of creation of the CSC (two letters) and
- the CSC's version number (an arabic number).
If you are actually looking for the MCC block list within the CSC file of a phone, then I would expect that you need to upload and read the CSC file itself. It is probably worth doing this for a few phones where there is no sticker on the box just to see if there are in fact any unexpected MCC block lists embedded.
Sorry, sure you're right.

need to dial international and domestic call frequently. however, unlike handspring treo, xda did not allow to recall the phone number from contact and then manually add the prefix, e.g. 00986 + city code + number... etc. Any suggestion here?

Yes. It'll take some time, but it'll solve your problem for once and all: change all your stored numbers to international format, e.g. +49 (89) 555255 for a number in Munich, Germany. Numbers in this format will work from everywhere in the world (the '+' does the magic here), and of course also from the country or town the called party is in.
It's probably much easier to do this in Outlook, then synchronise the numbers back to your XDA.
Cheers
Daniel
tks for your advice. however, in hong kong, we have many IDD service providers while if using "+", it will choose the most expensive service provider which i don't want to. well... i am always travelling around between hong kong and china and i have to add both local dial prefix and IDD dial prefix for each tel number, both office, mobile and home. you know, this is really really annoying and time wasting. hope there will be some temporary solutions here including some charged software solution.
My brothers cell No. is same like my home No. only with a different prefix, so when someone is calling from home the Magician mixes the two numbers up and displays brothers name.
Is anyone femiliar with this issue ?
(Bros No. comes first in the contacts)
I have the same problem with various people. Couples have the same home phone number and I have contacts of people at the same place of work.
If one of the couples phone me from their home number or the one of the people phone me from their work, it picks up the first "contact" with that number.
well,In my case the number is the same but the prefix is different
anyone has any Idea how to solve this ?
anyone?
Did you try?: +(country code) (province code)(home number) something like +44 99123456 and for mobile +44 mobile number

Do you mean saving all the contacts with the country code ?
Yes , 00 or + to get international and then country code as i suggested before on both ,fix and mobile numbers.
Here in Hong Kong, phone numbers are 8 digits and don't have area codes.
But on my Universaal, numbers are showing up as (xxx) xxx-xx instead of xxxx-xxxx. How do I change it?

What if you put nothing into Area Code but put all 8 digits into Number itself?
That's what I'm tell you...it auto-formats to (xxx) xxx-xx
How do we change it
please i need help in changing the format and to remove the (XXX) in windows 2005, not that i have windows 2005 in a BA and changing the regional setting won't work
Remove area code on caller id display when you receive calls on HTC Hermes
u have to change the regional settings...
try other types of English
for example: English (United Kingdom)
This works perfectly for me in Hong Kong
Hello, guys!
First, I´m using Note 3 SM-N900 version.
I´m having an annoying problem with my stock messaging app.
I have my contacts with their number with area code saved (i´m in Brazil, so it would be: 0 41(operator code) 43 (area code) 9999-9999 (phone number), resulting in: 0414399999999, rather than only their number (99999999). I save the numbers like that so I can call them wherever I am inside Brazil. And it works (obviously).
The problem is: when I send any message to them (to that 0414399999999), they receive it, I receive that "message received" confirmation, everything ok!
But when they answer, the answer gets to ANOTHER topic, with a number without the operator code (04399999999).
I can answer them through this topic, no problem with that.
You would say: that´s correct, 'cause those are 2 different numbers.
So I added the second number (which, actually, is the same phone number), without operator code, to the contact, so it would recognize that it´s the same contact and put them at the same topic, but no success.
If I save the contacts without the operator code, I can´t call them. I can only call them if I save without any code (either operator or area code) or with both.
Question is: is there any way to MERGE those topics?
The image will explain better what I mean.

Hello everyone!
I am new in the community.
I have a problem that whenever I dial my service providers helpline 111 from my samsung galaxy note 3 korean sm-n900s. It dial it as emergency number and drop the call after a while.
I am using spacex rom.
Is there any way to remove that number from emergency list of my phone.
Or someone can tell me that in which file these numbers were saved, so I can edit that numbers.
Thanks.
Go to phone call screen itself, then go to settings and see if such can be changed.
If no luck, you may need to change/update CSC to your country. There are numerous threads here on how to change CSC.
CSC is basically call settings matched to your service provider or country.
