Really depends on how big and heavy you want your phone to be, but if you don't care, the 7,500mah Zero Lemon is the biggest one there is. XDA isn't letting me post the link, but just search amazon for Zero Lemon S4, it's $40US.

Cool....I'll look it up. Are there any good ones that don't add bulk to the phone? This will be for my wifes phone and not sure if she would want the extra bulk.

I've yet to find one that doesn't require a new case and is worth getting. The only I know of gives you a whopping 6% increase in battery life. It would appear Samsung has already squeezed the most they can out of the battery with it's current size.
There are other batteries that won't add quit as much bulk though. s4tips .com/reviews/best-extended-batteries-for-samsung-galaxy-s4/ has a list of good ones. (I still can't post links so take the space out before .com)

UPDATE 1 -
Got the batteries yesterday - 2 3000mah and a charger. Charger worked well and the 2nd one is charging now.
Stock weighs 1.5 oz while the Zero-lemon ones weighed 1.6 oz.
I DID have to take off the white label surrounding the new battery for it to fit into the slot of the phone.
It is snug, but it fits correctly, but ONLY after taking off the wrap-around label.
I put the back on and it clicked in correctly and seems okay.
I have a aftermarket slimline case that still fits on it properly also - no issues between it and the battery.
Ill monitor battery life the next few days and see what I get. I usually get about 15 hours a day, with about
2-3 hours of screen time.
If anything, I have 2 extra batteries and a good plug in charger, all for $20.00, so Im happy so far.
Ed
Hey
Yesterday I ordered off Amazon (2) of the zerolemon with the quickcharger. they were the 3000mah ones.
Reviews said they gave about 2 more hours worth of screen time. Said they are NOT NFC, and used that
space to add to the battery. Either way, said it will work with stock back. They were $20 shipped.
Should be here next day or two, so Ill let you know my results.

If you can run a test similar to other tests where others run a video and compare the amount of play time of a stock vs this battery thing that would be great.

I will do.. i'm always on my phone
Hmm. Picked up one to test it out
It probably isn't truly 1700mAh and probably won't be as good as OEM battery but we'll see
This will be cool if it works out but the price point is setting me off in the wrong direction. A future thanks for your effort is being placed now! Thanks
I assume that this battery fits under the stock cover?
I'm curious to see what the test results will be.
Subscribed.
I think I might just hop on the bundle deal...two batteries and charger dock for a little less than 20.
Seller has had some really good reviews..definitely want to see the OPs feedback

wow I might just have to get one of these
Bumpity bump

From what I've inferred from the info provided on facebook, I *believe* that the seller is actually the maufacturer. From the looks of it, it appears this is a startup company. The fact that his shop is in california makes a lot of sense (I just saw a news special on how there are manufacturing workshops people can rent time out in out there in order for entrepreneurs to get their business off the ground before investing in their own manufacturing equipment; kind of like how there are glass blowing centers open to the public). This could be one of those deals. If the OP (who purchased one) says the battery works well, I might just pick one up just to support the guy. We'll see.

The warranty is only good for complete failure. It is not guaranteed to be better than OEM although I really hope it is. Still waiting to see. Got cheap "1500" mAh batteries on Ebay that last only half as long as OEM.
Do you BONSAI?
The battery will be in by tmrw. I will calibrate and let it die down, then recharge fully and see how it lasts... I will be on Bonsai 4.1.1 200/1120. Although this rom hasn't given me the best battery life it will be a good indicator if the battery helps or not.
** Just received battery today. Will post results on wednesday.

Very nice. I would encourage you, though, to not let it die down (these li-ions don't like that). Id say bump charge it to full with phone off about 10 times (charge till blue light, unplug, plug, repeast 10 times) then boot in to cwm and reset batt stats then see how it lasts from there.

Looking forward to the results as well. Thanks!
Pending on your results I think I'm going to get the two batteries plus charger package the guy offers. Even if its only slightly better or equal to OEM, having that second battery won't hurt, specially for only 20 bucks for it all
Posted by some phone named the Epic.
I actually got mine today, seems to work well so far, charged it for a bit and running it now.
I'll plug it in ove night and see how she runs.

i read somewhere that our batteries were non-memory type. meaning it didnt matter how you charged it. and bump charging does work but it could reduce charging cycles. im no expert. just what i read.

Battery Life 3500mah

Anyone try those 3500mah batteries off eBay? What kind of added lifetime does one get from those? Fraud issues?

I bought this one
http://gorillagadgets.com/samsung-epic-4g-extended-battery-3500mah-with-back-plate.html
and it has worked really well for me. no worries about a bad product or fraud from these guys. For $27 (I bought it for 24.99 but it didn't come with the fancy gorilla graphic on the battery)
How much extra time did this buy you, double? Thanks.
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk
Got me about 50% more...not double.

The 3500mah batteries are all really 2400mah batteries. There is a huge thread in accessories on them that I started.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
For a twenty percent boost get the battery for the epic touch. Fits the OG epic just fine without changing battery cover. Might be able to sweet talk a sprint store into giving you one free if you go and complain about battery life and they happen to have one in the back from a returned ET. Battery looks the same, is slightly heavier and has 1800 mah stamped on it.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I have it and really dont notice too much diff under regular use. Mine was like $12, so it just makes for a spare that came in handy several times.
I bought a pair of the 8$ 3500's off ebay and a 4$ wall charger. Phone will do 48 hours with light use. When I get a new game I can blow through one while charging the other.
So far, after a full charge and battery wipe, my battery life on cyanogen7 is as epic as my epic. Definitely notice a difference from the 1800mah to the stock 1500mah battery.
Sent from cyandroid
I've noticed a pretty nice improvement from the 8 dollar one on ebay, I wouldn't say double either, but may 60 to 70 percent. I have been tweaking things for battery life recently, so that might be another thing that helps.
I am a pretty light user, I don't play games. On midNIGHT ROM 5.3 I went 6 days between charging. Of course that is with everything you can turn off; off.
Then I decided; why did I pay this money for this phone to use it like an old samsung a05?? (ok dated myself there).
I usually get 3-4 days texting, phone calls, weather updates, emails and poking around on the market.
randomrom rocks for excellent battery life.

Are there any longer lasting batteries out there yet for the N4?

I saw the Galaxy S3 has a 6300mAh battery available and that people are getting like 10-15 on screen hours with it and I can't help but be jealous.
I understand that the Nexus 4 lacks the capability for extended batteries due to essential parts on the back of the case, correct?
But it's also true that one can replace the battery so long as it's in the same form factor/style as the stock battery, correct?
So, is there any way people can squeeze more mAh into a battery of the right type/size and if so do they exist yet?

The back of the nexus 4 requires a torx size 5 screwdriver to remove, as well as some kind of spudger, but that isn't really a deal breaker for the sort of people who would want the product you're asking for.
The problem is, you'd need some real engineering ability, and you'd need to be pretty exacting in your design for the replacement battery back to fit properly.you'd also be giving up wireless charging because that functionality is built into the existing back. As far as more capacity in the same space, no. Not any time soon.

I saw a post about Zerolemon making a battery case for the N4 in three sizes (varying capacity and presumably bulk). I think it's supposed to be released next month. Might be a workable alternative to a replacement battery.
Do what I've done... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40420956
Still got the wireless charging and NFC battery life is amazing!

Anybody tryed this extended battery?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CH1LIJW/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_us?ie=UTF8
Never heard of this brand and would like some feedback especially because it seems this is the only slim extended battery available at the moment (3030mah)?
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
They might work ok. I haven't heard anything bad about the brand but, cheap Chinese batteries are usually not made well. They get hot, are not really the mah advertised, and this one has no nfc so you would lose anything that used your nfc. (Wallet, sbeam etc)

for that price i guess it wouldnt hurt to try it unless it catches fire in your pocket and turns your phone into a smore. i have tried the 3rd party extended batteries and have yet to be amused. if you want more mobile battery life get one of these
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10831&cs_id=1083110&p_id=9283&seq=1&format=2
and before you balk at the price, monprice is legit and i have been using one for about 6 months and it works great (havent tried on s4 yet). you can get 2-3 charges out of it usually.

That will be last option if I can't find a slim extended battery or at least one that doesn't add too much bulk.

Note 3 ZeroLemon battery

OK the note 3's battery is already pretty big would you but a extended battery for it? I can't wait to see how big the ZeroLemon battery is when it is released.

Yes, day 1 they release the battery I will buy it.
the note 2 one was amazing for travels.
did it still fit in your pocket? that thing is HUGE like OG Xbox
Well, since note 2 had 3100mah battery and zl basically was just three of those making it 9300mah, I can see them doing the same thing here and making a 9600mah battery maybe even possibly a 10kmah!
Im still waiting on them to release the rugged case for their zl battery for note 2...
Sent from my note 2 ya bish!
Yes I can see myself buying one. I like to do back country camping and it would be nice to have music that lasts for 2-3 days. Although I could just run 3 separate batteries I wouldn't mind having it all in one.
I'm hoping they get cracking. But now it is time for me to give up on the rugged case. This note 2 zl case is going to get all gussied up by a nice lady in the UK, the phone is to become my wife's and my new note 3 will be patiently waiting for a REAL battery. Imho, big cards and big batteries remove over 80% of the reasons I used to flash and root. No need. The note line has been all I've needed since the first one came out. My wife loves them too.
So I saw on Facebook that they are working on a 10000 mAh battery

holly molly, that's awesome
How would this be better than a external battery pack?
It would be hard to pocket carry, and it looks like this is a back packable option only.
Plus the battery cover would be stock instead of a rubber back that doesn't fit properly.
Curious to the reasoning, I am looking up external 10000 MAH packs myself.
