[request] Crystal2 theme - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone make this theme work with LG theme engine. Bring over every icon. Such a beauty!

I second this. I'm using a "simulated" version of this theme if you will, with just the wallpaper and some icons. Would definitely love the full themed treatment.
Definitely one of the best themes I've seen.

Damn that is ugly as hell. However it is easy. Easy but time consuming. Download that APK and also copy over one of the themes such as um well that Marshmellow app. Rename the apks to ------.zip and extract both. Now just looks for the same icons so e.g. the browser APK replace the one from that CM theme and so on. once all is done rezip it and rename is back to .apk and install.

How to install theme in wildfire?

Well, it seems there are lots more to learn with my wildfire..
i've search few thread but their problems were not solved.
I've downloaded a theme file which i got it from internet, it's an .apt file. i have no idea how to install it into my wildfire.
here is what i've tried:
zip the apt file
go into recovery mode
install zip from sd card.
and..
nothing happened then =(
anyone knows please teach me? thanks a thousand times =D
i dont think those .apt files are supported on android phones.
if you wanna theme up your notification bar etc go here and upload your framework.apk
http://circle.glx.nl/
if you're looking for an actual whole theme for the phone, look around xda for a port, i don't think there are many or any for the wildfire. these are usually flashable zips.

how is this http://circle.glx.nl/ working to change my statusbar ? what should i do ?
what framework should i peek from the kitchen for wildfire ?

[Q] notifacation bar

Does anybody know how to customize the notification bar would love to get rid of the clock and change the color
Different launchers do different things, adw launcher lets you do all of that.... you can find a link in my signature.... and you have to be rooted

Wrong... launcher will not replace status bar.
Everything for status bar is in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
You need to pull it out of the rom, modifiy it in 7zip (without extracting it) and push it back. Sounds like a lot or work but is actually easier then it sounds.

I apologize for the misinformation... I thought it was ADW that allowed me to do that, however, it is the CM rom I am using...

Yes, all the icons and bar colors are in the framework-res.apk but the clock is in the servives.jar that lies in the /system/framework folder. Also you may have to resign those files when your done with them, not sure with CWM recovery.
Thanks is that as hard as it sounds im kinda new at all this but with step by step can usually get it done

enrsil1983 Color Theme for Cyano 7 RC 4.1 (10 apr)

I love colored themes so I made one for the latest Milestone CyanogenMod 7 RC4.1 0.08-11.04.10
Everything is colored, you will love this theme. Some screenshots are attached (or see post #8) , but that's not all...
Download the file, put in OpenRecovery/update folder and reboot in recovery
Important: Make a Nandroid Backup before installing!.
Install like you installed CM7 and Google Apps
Change background (default is black to save space) and enjoy
Here is the NEW link:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0KLRMOVJ
or else download from MirrorCreator (thanks to sileshn)
http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/G9WU4VAW/
Note: there are other updated versions in the following pages.
Feel free to download my theme and use my icons in your themes
where the preview...?
Make it Theme Chooser theme or I am pretty sure noone will use it.
It's not only for framework-res, but also browser, settings and more files.
With Theme Chooser you will have less than 40% of the theme.
I will post preview in few hours
EDIT: I don't know how to make an update.zip file, if someone link me a guide I will do it.
I tried once and make a disaster, maybe because I used the google apps update.zip as source

you should make an update.zip package. your method is too complicated for a noob... and a preview is also a most recommended thing

You can use the attached template for creating a update.zip for your theme.
apps go into /system/app folder
fonts go into /system/fonts folder
framework files go into /system/framework folder
edit : Here is your theme as a flashable zip file.
Done. Now I'm making some previews.
Here is the theme:

Well, in that case , you need to replace the themed apps in the theme zip file with the original ones and apply the theme again.
Beautiful theme! Great work! Thanks

Sense 3 rosie navbar help!

Can someone help me out? I'm trying to make a navbar with these images I made. I tried to add them to my theme I'm using but they don't show. Don't they go in the HTC framework? I have no idea how to edit m10 files. The m10 editor doesn't open on my computer.

Yea. It doesn't work. You have edit m10 files in fusion.apk. I have no idea how to do that.

Are you going to add them to a sense rom or use them for MIUI w/ 3rd party launcher?
On sense roms they go into the htc.frameworks app in /framework folder. When i unzip the folder you gave it give the files as 0 bytes so i cant open them.

I want to add them to a theme I'm using on Virtuous Fusion sense 3.0. I added them to the HTC.framework apps but they still don't show. Someone told me I have to add them to the fusion.apk file in the shared.m10 file under assets but I can't use the m10 editor.

I see, can't help you there, m10 was never used before for theming sense. Ask the OP in the fusion theme thread instead.

[Q] How to flash a different app icon?

Hallo, I'd like to change MMS app icon with a different one. As I'm on CM nightly, I'd like to create a flashable zip, to reflash it after update (just the icon, not the full app).
Is it possible? Thanks!
You have to decompile the apk, change the image in the appropriate drawables folder, and recompile. It is not possible to just flash the icon. You could also use an app called Desktop VisualizeR in the Playstore.

Or you could just use Nova Launcher, from the Play Store. You can use any custom icon you want plus more. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher
