I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 sgh-i337m (Canadian version) and I installed cyanogenmod 10.2 on it. I had some issue with this rom so I've been trying to find the stock rom(Touchwiz ) for the the galaxy s4 I got it from bell. The phone has the newest version of clockworkmod touch on it and it's rooted with Supersu. So can anyone tell me where a I can find the stock rom for the galaxy s4 sgh-i337m from bell? Thanks

You got a bad download. Did you check the md5?
Nope. How can I do that? I downloaded the rom directly from my device

Those files are Odin flashable. You need to download them to your pc and use Odin to flash them. You'll have to extract the .tar.md5 from the zip you download.

Download Odin 3.07 to your computer
Download the stock firmware. It'll be a zip file. Use 7-zip to extract the .tar.md5 file from that. You'll use that in odin.
Open Odin on your computer. There will be a PDA slot you browse to find the .tar.md5 file.
Put your phone in download mode and plug the usb cable into it. Have the usb connected to your pc beforehand
Make sure only auto-reset is checked in Odin.
Then hit start. It'll take about 5 minutes. Don't unplug the usb until it's done.
Edit, here's a guide on how to return to stock. It is not for your device so do not use any of the files on it. But the process is the same and may help you visualize the process. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26056924

Been doing a bit of reading on here and some people seem to need a pit file when flashing stock ROM with odin as they get the message "no pit file" how do they end up with a missing pit file?
I believe pit files tells Odin how to divide the partitions for formatting and where certain components go when flashing them individually. I'll assume the reason people get the no pit file error is because Odin doesn't detect the pit file and isn't sure how to correctly flash the ROM. I could be completely wrong, but I thinks that's the general idea behind them. Some ROM's come with the pit file integrated I think, and some come separately.

Are they doing something which makes odin not detect this pit file such as custom recoveries etc
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
I'm not sure mate honestly. I know the basics of a pit file and that's it. I've never used one and don't plan to.

Its a home.tar file
I used djembey root method a while ago but this uses a old unlocked kernel. Need the new kernel on MDM as it gets rid of red tint going to use chainfires auto root on it hopefully
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Yeah you can root MDM no bother now with the updated CF-Auto-Root which is what I'm on. I'll have to root the device soon, get a custom recovery and backup the device along with the EFS folder.

I have to swap my phone, one problem is that you cannot connect the phone to a computer.
Can I remove TWRP and restore the original recovery without ODIN? Maybe flash the firmware if there is a zip version using recovery?
I belive toy can use Mobile odin. There may also be a flashable zip.

I swapped my phone, rooted and TWRP installed. Not one phone call. Not one charge. That was on AT&T.
But if you wanna be safe, do what he^^ suggested.

I think I should try that just to be safe. Do I need to flash the entire rom ( Im on amdl) or just the stock recovery?
Just the stock recovery. Best thing to do is to search the forums for triangle away, flash your stock recovery after running triangle away. Follow the prompts for that, btw. Then use SuperSU's built in unroot.

I337UCUAMDL_I337ATTAMDL_I337UCUAMDL_HOME.tar.md5
mobile odin is saying that the device isnt compatible? It asks for a dump, I did that and it said successful.
I restarted the phone, and it still says the same thing?
Looks like mobile odin is not supported for the AT&T Model.

You could extract the recovery.img from the tar and then create a zip file from that. I think it would work, but I've never tried it.
I guess the only thing I can do now is either find an AMDL firmware or stock recovery that I can use a zip file to flash it using TWRP.....
Has anyone seen this anywhere?

Sammobile.com has the stock firmware. You'll have to register but it's free. You'll download a zip file. Use 7-zip to extract the .tar.md5 file from it. Use that in odin.

You should be ok, I don't think they really check anything. You might do more harm right now than its worth. I've sent two devices into them. Got a refurb back. Your biggest worry is it'll probably be mf3 firmware.

If you downloaded from that thread (which I pressume you did) you need to extract the file from that zip file. You should get a file with .tar.md5 extension. Just odin that. If you get any error just delete the .md5 extension and leave it with the .tar extension.

Your welcome. Btw if you are able to recover back to stock and the phone gets stuck at sprint boot then just turn off your phone, go to recovery (you should have stock recovery now) and just do a factory reset. Then reboot then you should be fine.

Using the back USB ports on my desktop instead of the front ones finally allowed me to unbrick my phone. I was getting a similar message about the PIT mapping and finally found this information, that got me past the error.
I wanted to install the stock rom on my Sprint Galaxy s4. I installed mobile odin lite along with the proper kernel. I downloaded the stock rom from http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...axy S4 (SPH-L720)/Stock ROMs/MK2/Original TAR It's in the form of tar.md5. I transferred that onto my phone. When I launch odin and click on that file I get the message Partition could not be found in file. What am I doing wrong?
The proper way to do it would be on a PC and use Odin rather than mobile Odin. Use version 3.xx to have good results.

Check that fail happens only with PIT or with only ROM flashing (without PIT) too.
If that fail in both case then follow what rushi said above. If fails with PIT only then better contact service center as something messed up in partition.
