Caller id black screen - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Recently flashed sacs custom rom 7.1 and when people call you can see everything like normal just the caller id part is black cant see whos calling anyone know what the cause is

I had this happen on scas also but that was ,from my understanding, because j flashed a VR theme from the themes and apps section. Like you were able to still answer or reject the call. But the person/number calling was blacked out until I answered then j could see who was calling.

I had the same problem and it was a setting in Xposed/Gravity Mods Settings. I think under phone tweaks you need to check fullscreen caller photo to fix it.
Let me know if that is it

[Q] Vibrate and Ringtone AOKP

Hi there!
Due to the fact, that I´m a new member, I can´t post my ROM-related question into the Development forum, where it belongs.
I just unlocked, rooted and installed AOKP_mako_jb-mr1_build-2 on my brand new Nexus4.
My problem with AOKP is, that I can´t set my phone to ring AND vibrate when I´m receiving a SMS or Whatsapp-Message. I activated the box Ringtone and Vibrate in the Soundsettings. When I receive an incoming call, it actually rings and vibrates, just as intended. The in-app-settings in GO-SMS and Whatsapp are correct too (vibrate and ring). I´ve searched the forum, but I couldn´t find any helpful solutions yet (correct me if I´m wrong).
Is there any chance to fix this problem by installing a toggle app or did I miss a setting?
Maybe setting it off from ur app and let alone the aokp core respond to that.
i dont know really but maybe u can try it, and give us some feedbacks if goes well or not.. I also didnt try those apps on aokp.
In stock messaging in settings theres an option u can set too.
I love my Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) but I have found
a real phone for me, Google Nexus 4 (LG-E960), So awesome!

[Q] HD Voice ON and OFF

Is there an app or key press in dialer to get into the service menu on LG G2? To checkif HD Voice is turned on or off? And choose to turn it on and off?
I would like to know this too... I have added the build prop setting but don't seem to see any advantage

I aint really shure what you mean about the build prop. But I experienced on S4 that if I wiped and flashed custom roms and different kernels I had to activate it again. Im unsure about how this works at LG.
Im on stock rom now and gonna install Energy rom, but I am not gonna change the kernel. Afterwards I will check if HD voice is still on, I can hear really good if its working or not here in Norway where the HD voice is insane good!
EDIT: But of course if loose it, I dont have any clue to get it back on LG............
That's the problem in the G2 hidden menu there is no option to enable HD voice... Unlike samsung
If you google online there is a build.prop line amr.wideband Tweak to be added which enables HD voice on other phones...
As for any indication whether it's working or not... I believe there really isn't any on android

Call Recording Button?

I have the TMO variant but I don't think that matters, I've tried various ROM's and I've noticed on some that there is a "call record" button while in a call, directly in the dailer screen. Is this supposed to be part of every ROM or is this something else? The ROM i'm using is for TMO but this feature is not there.
Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to find the BEST way to record both ends of a voice call for an interview I will be conducting.
Stock recording is the best way and it needs enabling to show up. Its a basic feature in most custom roms but as far as I know not in unmodded unless its enabled on some US devices

call recording does not work out of box
you must have a compatible custome kernel to get it worked.
Echoe ROM with Faux kernel has the call recording, the button is there while making a call and I highly doubt the kernel is responsible for that.
