[Q] what happened to GS4 gaming controller? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so what ever happened to samsung's wireless gaming controller that was announced with the GS4?

I was wondering that too, but I found a better controller in my opinion, which I am planning to buy: Moga PRO. It looks cool and I heared that is pretty compatible.

PS4 Controller?

I know it was just announced an hour ago, but we had support for the PS3's dualshock 3 controller, so do you guys think the dualshock 4 will work with the six axis app?cor do you think it will require a full rewrite of all the drivers?
Any answers, questions, comments, or discussion are welcome
i would say, it will require a rewrite. but who knows. even if the ps4 controller doesn't work, atleast ps3 controllers do and will get cheaper. no need to use a ps4 controller just because there is one out there.

He's right. What is the point in caring if ps4 controller works or not? Think about it.

God you guys are really killing the spirit of openness and I'm just opening a discussion, if you're going to be negative, leave.
Dude unless it has features that would be of any use to us that the ps3 controller does not, what's the point? For all we know, Sony really locked it down and it will never work on anything other than a ps4... Or it will be really open, and Sony will even release an official driver/pairing app for it. But really, at this point we know nothing.

You can always use the dualshock 3 like the above user said. It'll be cheaper and widely available. We won't get to see or even be able to buy one anytime soon.

ps4 controller appears to work. I can plug it in via usb and navigate. But some of the buttons need to to be configures. Not sure how to do that. I installed sixaxis, but it does not see the controller. Im on a nexus 7 2013.

Is it worth it to buy a PS3 controller for gaming on nexus 7?

I just unlocked and rooted my nexus 7. Interested in buying a ps3 controller to play some shooting games and racing games. My Xbox 360 broke months ago and I Dont have the money to buy a new one right now. Plus with new systems coming out soon, no sense in buying one anyway.
But is it worth it? With using a gaming console controller, does playing games on the nexus 7 play similar to a console? Mainly in terms of gameplay.

It's worth it.
Some games can barely played without controller.
7 inch are too big for most hands and shooter like mc4 will be a lot better playable.
ofcourse not all games support controller, but a lot.

[Q] Best controller for N4

Hello !
I was wondering that is the best controller around for the N4 (compatible with Drastic)
I didn't find anything except that Ipega and Moga are popular at the moment.
Thanks !
I've been through a few different controllers and the Moga Pro is the only one I've been happy with
You'll have to wait until the iControlPad 2 is released.

Sixaxis on Note 3?

Hello fellow Note 3 users!
I'm curious if a Sixaxis controller will work with micro USB - Mini USB cable on this phone when its NOT rooted?.
Can anyone with a N9005 test this for me?

" It uses Bluetooth to pair but doesn't use the standard HID profile. So it requires a specific app running in the background to work. The proprietary app only works with Moga supported games (list is pretty short)."
The moga can be programmed to work with any app/emulator

I confirmed several weeks ago that PS3 controllers work via USB OTG with the Note 3.

Gameklip and sixaxis here as well. The combo has been through 4 phones and is still going strong.
I can confirm that it works fine for GTA and drastic on a stock uprooted note 3.
