The screen lock sounds don't work for me either. I believe this is a bug affecting all G2s

i believe there are no sounds loaded onto the g2 for lock and unlock
I have the same issue............no sound. Great phone but a lot of bugs, hopefully an update really soon

No sound
I have no lock/unlock sound either. Thought it was just mine but now I see that, that is not the case. Hopefully update rolls around soon and fix these bugs that we are all finding. Gotta say I love this phone though.
If you look at /system/media/audio/ui the lock sound files are missing. Hopefully the OTA planned drops them lol

I believe you can create a folder at the root of your sd card called media/audio/ui and place the sounds inside there. Same goes for ringtones and notification sounds.

Alright I thought that was just me.. but I'm gonna try the sd card thing and see if that works.. actually that means we can add any tone for the unlock..

Don't want to sound like an ass but WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT?
Granted, my device may be different but my sounds have worked since minute one. I did have to enable them first though.
I disabled audible touch tone and enabled screen lock and screen selection sounds and no problems...

It's a know bug by now, nobody has unlock sounds. How about haptic feedback when pressing on touch keys and long press on the screen? Seems to not work for me. Vibrates for everything else that it suppose to so not a hardware problem.
That works for me. I only have the vibrating lock screen issue

Yeah everything works for me but the screen lock..

Nevermind, it does work for me as well, just really soft... almost unnoticable, which is weird since vibrator is so strong in g2....

[Q] Locked out of the phone

My daughter decided she didn't like the pattern for the screen lock on her Atrix so she changed it. Unfortunately she doesn't remember it, didn't tell it to use the fingerprint scanner and doesn't remember her motoblur login. What can I do to unlock the screen?
In my limited knowledge, I just remove the battery and reset the phone

I think the only way is doing an hard/factory reset. Although, you are going to lose your data.

micro sim cutter question

can someone with a N4 please look at the photo of my sim and tell me if the fact the contacts are not centered is a big deal if using the noosey to trim it. it is a question of how the contacts line up in the N4's sim slot. if center-cutting the micro sized sim using the noosey is not going to work then it will be done with an x-acto knife.
i am aware of how easy it is to get att to provide a micro but every time they touch my grandfathered contract-less account they screw me up somehow so i'd first prefer to not have to deal with activating a new sim.
your help is appreciated in advance.
Cut mine down using the noosey today and working fine.. Full signal. You may need a file handy though to smooth edges and get a snug fit in the sim card tray.

It'll be fine, go for it.

You have been graciously thanked kind sir.

Change lockscreen method.

Hi,
Not sure I'm writing the right place.
-Sorry...
Is there a way to change the way you lock the screen ?
I stead of one single push on the power button, I could really use something like 2 press...
I keep locking the screen by accident when I fooling around , or if I'm in a store and buying my coffee for free (7 eleven, using a app with a QR code..) and the staff accidentally lock the screen - I will lose that QR code, cause I only have 2 min to use it, when the staff press "show code"..
Soooo...
Is it possible to tweak/hack/nuke it ?
-FYI, only had the S4 for about a month, and only got rooted
-again, if I'm in the wrong place, I'm really sorry..

you typing is making me laugh lol, i love it (please dont take it serously, i know you are using a phone)
now for ot:
duck tape and a piece of paper
or just use without a sim
or just cut a sim but with a bit more size so it takes same space as the tray

Whatever you do don't insert the SIM without the tray. You will instantly regret it because:
A) mobile won't see it so you won't have network
B) it will be hard as **** to take it out again.
I did it once by stupidity and spent 20 minutes sweating and battling with 2 needles to get it out.
