Your missing the picture with screen time.

Like the screen usage percentage? Okay I'll have to get that tomorrow if so. I ended up throwing it up on the charger. But at the moment it says 33%

Screen time will tell us everything this doesn't

I decided to update the original post

You have to press screen which will give us a time of your long the screen was on during the 10 hours of use.

The fact that none of your screen shots show a signal is a bad thing for battery life.

That's a condition of WiFi Calling for T-Mobile with WiFi as the "preferred" method of connectivity. No need for concern there.
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk 4

Maybe WiFi calling is draining your battery life. Its still hard to see where you are at % wise. Where was the battery at with 1.4 hours of screen time?

That seems pretty good.. 2 hours of screen time down on 20%.. that means you would possibly get 10 hours of screen time before it dies...

Drain looks normal, your not complaining about this drain correct? lol

[Q] Battery drain.

I take the bus everyday for 45min going and coming from work.
I have 4g most of the time and about 7-10min I'm locked onto 2g/edge
Now question is how much would my battery drain from the ups and downs of signal?
And BTW I use Google music sometimes. And ALL the time I'm either here looking thru XDA or using the browser.
GPS And locations are off as well.
Thanks!

That question can't be answered, it all depends on too much.
45 minutes with screen on in a bad signal area and on 4g? 15% or so? Impossible to guess.
Yea it was to hard for me to figure out. Thought I might ask here. Well I just got off the bus and my phones at 65% after 1hr screen on.

Also I'm on currently on rasbean ROM with harsh kernel.

You're in a bad signal area, 4g, music. That could be right actually..
Stock kernel? If so try something else. Trinity, Franco.
Try gsm auto prl instead of wcdma preferred.

I just flashed images yesterday hoping for better battery after using efrants guide.
I will try a different kernel each day
I'm coming from a gs3, trinity worked well. Will have to try that tomorrow on my ride home.
Also Just got this phone on Friday.
Still need a lot of testing to do.

Is this decent battery life?

Hi all,
I'm considering buying a new OEM battery for my 2.5 year old mt4g. I am rooted and running a custom rom, MyTouch UX 3.0 at the moment, but I usually use the CodeFireX AOSP Jelly Bean rom. Here is a screenshot of my current battery usage:

}
So around 6-7 hours with wifi turned off and the phone in my pocket at school. Its okay-ish for a 2 year old battery, but should I go on amazon and buy myself an OEM battery for $7? Also, does anybody know a kernel for CodeFire X that gives good battery life? Feedback please...

What's your SOT?
Should post a screen shot of that too considering it's taking 75% of your battery. So I'm thinking about 2 1/2 hours?

Not quite sure what you mean, but I can tell you that since I posted that (13 minutes) I now have 50% battery. I'm on airplane mode, so cell standby is off.

OK guys, I got the battery from the above post. Just one last problem. Since the battery is extended, my meter says the battery is full when its really only around 90%. This can be fixed by charging while the phone is off. Since I am rooted, I tried to clear the battery stats in cwm, but the problems still there

Whats your fastest ATT LTE speed using speedtest.net?

I've been pretty impressed with how fast my connection has been with the GS4 compared to my other Galaxy phones on ATT (GS2, Note and GS3), how does your area compare?

Not sure why it defaulted to Yellowknife, CAN. as the closest server, but the numbers are pretty similar to speed tests using the AT&T server that's 5 miles from my house. Latency is a bit more though. 120ms for Yellowknife and 99ms for Anchorage, AK AT&T server.
From all around Bakersfield CA. Unfortunately only about 5-7 Mbps at home.

It's consistent because your using Wi-Fi. Turn off Wi-Fi and redo the test.

Can anyone explain what could be causing such terrible service. I have verizon and live in an area where I should get constant 4g LTE. Could a new Sim card help?

Are you not getting constant 4G? Typically manufacturers like to display an optimistic view of signal where AOSP doesn't. Else try a new sim.

Is that on all LTE at least? I only get 2.5 hours on my nexus 5 on lte
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
mainly 3g but sometimes LTE.It maybe fixed with an update but for now
I hope that changes in software update, or maybe some optimizations are in order. I get more usage out of my Galaxy S5. =T
I get a full day (24 hours) being 5 hours screen on in my S4 with light to moderate usage with WIFI. When using 3G it's really worse, probably because I have poor signal and it constantly drops.
The OP probably has something installed that is draining too fast. Or maybe the battery isn't yet calibrated. Might still need some charge cycles.
I saw another reviewer on YouTube that was claiming 5-7h screen on time over the past 2 weeks so reports seem quite inconsistent

Hey,
I know I am probably gonna get no where but I will try my luck. Can you please send me an invite if you have any left as I would really really really like to purchase this phone. It looks good. Also i noticed your android system is too high which is probably what is causing the battery drain. Usually location service ( so like google now) or most likely something has got it on a constant wakelock i.e. facebook app.
