Hi all.
I have a hTC Elfin. I use the Onyx 4.2 rom. The video playback in the windows media player was very laggy. So I switched over to Core player 1.3.something. I was very happy when it could play the videos at the highest bit rate without any lag. But recently I got my headset(the original hTC one). I had lost it somewhere around . So I connected it to the phone and tried playing some videos. And there was a hell of a lag!! But as soon as I removed my headset everything was back to normal. Also I have noted one thing that if I disable Manila 2D, the video runs normal!! So, please suggest what to do to be able to play the videos normal!! Also if there is a better player for WM 6.1 then please suggest!!
Reply soon.
Thanks.
I use the program Videora/Red Kawa to convert dvd's to my HD2. The Movie loaded on my phone with no problem and the Video looks great but the audio on the movie is really choppy. Also the raw version of the movie plays fine on i tunes, the audio sounds perfect but on the HD2 its really choppy. The steps I took to transfer the movie are as follows... Put DVD in computer, Run Movie Decryption program, Run Videora/Red Kawa program, It transfered the movie to a file, I copied and pasted movie to memory card by using the USB cable. Like I said everything worked perfect but when I play the movie through the movie player that Transformers is on, it looks great but sounds horrible. I also tried playing the movie through Windows Media Player and the same thing happened, the sound was really choppy. If anyone knows what I can do or what I should have done different, I would really appriciate the feedback. Thanks.
You may be using too higher data rate for the HD2 to be able to process it fast enough (wether thats down to media bandwith or processing abilitys). If you have TCPMP, try the benchmark option and see how fast it runs, if its no faster than normal play, you're likely to need to lower the bitrate of the films.

is there a program or a better rom for it to waork
thanks
Some folks have had more success by playing around with settings in the likes of Coreplayer (raw frame buffer). But the Hermes has a lack of good video hardware drivers - lots of threads on this in this forum.

Ok so first please dont writte comments like it is a cheap phone and stuff...
Now the problem - playback of video files (avi, xvid and most important straming media)
So i have tryied some video players to play avi files and the video i so slow plays with very very slow frame rate and audio is horrible. Recently tryied to play straming media (some tv chanels i want to watch) the same. It runs the software but its horrible.
So the question: Is there some way around that? Some magic light-weight player or something else?
HTC Wildfire
Cyanomogen latest stable
tryied with overclocked CPU to 701 when i tryied to the max setting 768 phone crashed needed to recovery ROM.
So please if someone has some advice i would be very grateful

Try overclocking to 729mhz. That seems the most stable for me.
More importantly download an app called QQ player from the market. Plays most files without a hitch.
If you're streaming tv well personally I have not tried. Move your phone as close to the router as possible and see whether its a speed related issue. If It's not I don't think there's much you can do.
Hope this helps

I have recently rooted my Galaxy y with 8 GB Memory card. Everything seemed to work fine until now. I have downloaded some videos from youtube downloader and Advanced download manager via my phone. However, some videos are not working. Even the mx player treats them like audio files and some disturbing sounds come through them when I play it. Even when I played them at my PC, the videos are not playing at all. What might be the problem ? Is it due to rooting or some defects in applications or any other else..............
The problem doesnot seem to be stopping as the videos that used to be played seemlessly in MX Player are not playing anymore- it is still being played as an audio file with nagging and creepy sound coming through. Help anyone

Probably the videos didn't download properly as they cannot be played properly on both PC and phone
Try a different downloader or download via PC and see
Another possibility is that ....
