New to U8800H!

Hi, i recently bought a Huawei U8800H in Hong Kong, and wanted to know if there are any updated official firmware english or spanish, because its filled with bugs and many many thing in chinese (despite changing lagauage on the phone).
My phone has this firmware: U8800H V100R001HKGC104B135
Can I put any U8800/U8800H firmware on it? Any tutorial/links?
Are U8800/U8800H interchangable?

Hi, as nobody ansewer yet, I found out they U8800 & U8800H are not firmware interchangeable. So Im on the quest of finding out the latest and best firmware for U8800H, and it appears that this one U8800H V100R001C00B136CUSTC38D001 (Malaysia MAXIS) is the correct one. The problem is that I cant download it anywhere (the links are invalid or down).
Could someone help me please?

I put u8800h firmware on my u8800 so it does work, dunno it it works the other way though.

Is there any procedure to fall back to older/original firmware in case of something goes wrong? ? On other forum I read about Superclock but it is incompatible with U8800H

If you need to restore back to original firmware, just place the 'dload' folder into the root of your SD Card, boot into bootloader by holding power and Vol +/- at the same time. And your phone will do the rest.

Thanks, took a chance and flashed it and it worked OK, it took 10 minutes aprox. I almost died in the process...
I hope when "Impulse 4g" (U8800H) gets released on US, it will be Android 2.3.

You can flash it again by getting firmware into your sdcard /dload folder, for firmware check your inbox for my message

Simply download the appropriate Zip package from above and extract it. Transfer the resulting ‘dload’ folder to your Mate 7’s external microSD card and finally install it from Settings > Updates > Menu > Local Update.

No, it's not the same..you must back to Stock Recovery

the manual says you can upgrade from any version to b331. me, b324

Not is the same

Confirming successful update from B328 to B331 on my MT7-TL10, rooting still works. Haven't come across any issues yet, hopefully stays that way...

No need. I think you can flash it directly from B327. I flashed it from B130. So far no issues yet.

After copying the folder dload in microSD, the only thing you can do is a deep format through recovery TWRP or cwm, after vol - + power, and install the full firmware.

I have flash stock recovery, remote root from SuperSU, but software install failed all the time.. one time install reached 90% but still there and i have to reboot and restart, but failed at 4%...

Now I Done
i Want to Share My Work To Others
1-Craet A Folder By Name "dload" in Direct Sd Card And Then Put A File "update.app"(~20 kb) inte That Folder
2-go To setting>update>local Update And Install it
3-if That succeed Make A Factory Reset And Wipe Cach
4-delete File"update.app"(~20 kb) In "dload" Folder
5-extract B120 Rom "Update.app"(~1.65 Gb)
6-put b120 Rom "update.app"(~1.65 Gb) that You Extracted Into "dload" Folder That You Created Before In Sd Card
7-again go To setting>updater>menu>local Update And Install it
8-Done
Pay Attention to "Update.app"(~20 Kb) and "Update.app"(~1.65 Gb) are different

oh i applied it on b320.. after updating i get balongc52b311 but with the same android version 5.1.1.... plz help me how to change it

I upgrade from 4.4.2 to 5.1.1
I am satisfied with 5.1.1 ,but the buttery drain very fast.
and because of battery consumption I have to downgrade to 4.1.1.

Downgrade file should work on any base firmware version . Like the same Android version or emui .

Good morning I need help plase.
I bought on the internet mate 8 4 gb ram 64 bg NXT L29-C636.
I updated FIRMWARE to b180 then b330.
I had read that to upgrade to b563 (android 7) I had to do downgrade to b211. I tried and the phone stuck.
It goes into e-recovery and can not install any firmware. Help
I have read that I have to install an original firmware. You can help me?

I did the same and experienced the same. Search for "DC phoenix method 2". Basically you repair it via loading a special huawei firmware (with partition repair I believe). Your device will then boot into this limited, old version of android that comes with some diagnostics tools + SD upgrade functions. Use the latter to load your update.app.
Specifically *in our case* (L29C636 330->211 then stuck), I had success to load 321 and let it OTA to 330 and then 563. I could not do 211 or 585, only 321. Perhaps 330 would do too but did not try.

I have a Honor 8 Lite from china that i would like EU/Nordic firmware in. I have problem with what files I should use, and also the meaning of saving OEM info.
I have unlocked boot loader and installer TWRP, what is the next step?

Do you want to debrand to some other region? If so, you need to have oeminfo file of that variant and then download the files for new model and flash but unless you have the oeminfo file you can not proceed further.
It will be the similar process mentioned in my signature for debranding and just a change of respective files

I'd like to change generic regional id with an international id and after try to put in an European stock fw

Saving oem info: do a backup in TWRP. Copy backup to pc or sd.
