I think I've turned off the haptic / vibration everywhere on my nexus 10. However, the only place where it still exists is when I turn the volume all the way down. Is there any way to turn it off so the nexus 10 doesn't vibrate when I turn the volume down all the way?

Been looking through my Nexus for some options on this. I would like to have it switch between Vibrate and Loud instead of Silent or Loud. I for one have no use for silent mode. Is there a setting somewhere I'm missing? Couldn't find anything on this. Thanks!
There sorta is.
Prese and release the power button to bring up the lock inscreen, then if you hold down volume down + top power buttom for a second or two, it'll go to silent mode. The volume rocker is then active until the screen shuts off. So for those five secs you can adjust the ringer volume. Tape volume up once and it'll take you to vibrate mode.
Same thing to bring back to loudest ringer. Hit the power button to bring up the lock screen then holdVolume up + power for a second or two and it'll go up to highest ringer volume.
Alternatively, just hold down the power buttong to bring up the "Airplane/Silent/Shut down" menu. From there you can hit volume up/down to adjust your ringer. Vibrate is one click up from silent.
Ah. Well that's a shortcut i didnt know. Not exactly what I was hoping for but thanks for the tip!
I hope that this gets changed in an update. I'd like to have the option to switch the phone to vibrate. Kind of like the hardware switch on the Moto Cliq.
Check out the apps from kaa on the market. They work for me to lock the volume keys to my liking.
Is this a feature or is my phone being buggy?for some reason when I turn the screen on, on different occasions, the phone does a quick buzz. And I'm not pressing the volume button or simultaneously getting a notification
Nevermind, figured it out. Under Gestures the Smart Alert option was turned on by default
I just got a Razr M set up and running as my daily driver, running the excellent BlissPop 3.2. I find that the volume buttons on this phone in a Trident case are quite easy to press, so much of the time when I'm pulling the phone out of my pocket, I hit the volume buttons.
I'm fairly sure that my old DroidX running CM11 disabled the volume keys while the screen is off, though I may check that to be sure. They certainly were not as easy to push.
After quite a bit of searching, I can't find how to disable the volume keys while the screen is off, whether or not the phone is locked. There is a setting to disable the volume keys all the time, but that's not an option. I also found a setting to make the volume keys change tracks while music is playing, but that's no good either.
In fact, if the screen is off but the phone isn't locked, I can press volume up or down, and when I turn the screen on with the power button, the volume pop-up is there.
The only button that should be active while the screen is off is the power button! Does anyone know how to make it work this way?
More info: I just determined that if the phone is locked and the screen is off, the volume keys do nothing. That's good, but I don't want to lock my phone every time I turn the screen off, as it becomes annoying to have to enter the PIN all the time.
This "problem" was solved in the 20150506 version. I upgraded over the weekend and discovered that the volume keys work as I wish now.
Hi im a newbie at android,
My galaxy s8 plus, keeps turning down the system volume by itself. So i have to change the sound mode and then turn up the system volume. If i didn't change the sound mode first, the system volume always turn down after i turn it up.
Can you help me?
Same issue with my GS8, have you found some solution?
Having the exact same issue here. The system volume stays completely muted and if you try to turn it up, it just goes back to the minimum/muted. I haven't been able to find a solution yet.
Update: I've noticed this is happening mostly while the phone is charging. I've disconnected the power plug and readjusted the system volume with the volume hard keys and hasn't happended again. Could this be a bug related to the "fast charging"?
Hi. I've just got a new G6. I'm liking it very much. I don't like, however, the little tune that plays when the phone is turned on and off. Is it possible to turn the sound off?
Noup...

Unlock the phone, press Volume Up or Volume Down button, expand the volume menu, set the Touch feedback & system slider to mininum. Done- power on/ off tone is gone.
Thanks!
