On my UK EE Z1, netflix gets stuck forever on the "loading" screen. Anyone else have this issue?

Well you were right about xreality but on mine, it needs to be ON for Netflix to work, if I turn it OFF then netflix won't start. Smells like a bug to me.
Can someone else try with it Off and see if they still get netflix?
This is on the original 518 firmware.

Okayy this is odd I have to turn off X-reality for it to work an that is both on the .518 and the .534 SW

Hmm!! Maybe there is some kind of miss-match on mine between the real state of x-reality and the state of the on/off switch for it!! I tried restarting with it off, and toggling it on/off, but the only position in which netflix works is with x-reality 'on'. Could it be related to other installed software - MX Player, for instance...?

Has any of you restored a backup of Netflix from previous phone?
I've found a really nice clear version of Netflix somewhere on the xda website which works perfectly.

MX Player isn't the issue it's more like the X-realiy engine is messing things up
Finally, someone with the same issue. Just discovered that mine does not work when X. Reality is turned off. It just sits there on the loading screen when you select a movie or TV series
Problem is that when I turn it on it actually makes the Netflix quality worse. The edges are ragged and they just look odd

Wow, last night I was getting so frustrated then I found this thread... just turned xreality back on and the Netflix loads in a second. Xreality off, netflix sits on loading screen indefinitely.

Now, my defective PLAY works well (the touchscreen, d-pad, touchpad, power button, wifi, etc) no matter how long i played HD games after updated to firmware firmware 4.0.A.2.368 World (already tried it for 3 days n played the hd games 3-4 hours straight a day).
Hope this will help whoever has the same problem, although i know very very few people has this kind of issue
When you say wifi? What wifi issue did it fix? My one can not hold wireless for more than 15 mins without it hanging. Only fix is it shut wifi down, then reopen? Please tell me this has fixed it?

My wifi issue was:
it wouldn't work at all, i mean the wifi could not be turned on after the crash caused by playing HD games for about 10-15 mins.
Maybe you could try this 4.0.A.2.368 World firmware, who knows it could fix your wifi issue. For me, it fix all my defective problem
Edit: Before the crash caused by playing hd games, my wifi could work very well

When you say that your wifi doesn't hold for more then 15 minutes, how far away are you from your router? The wifi radio is not very strong on the play, i had the same problem before I bought the netgear wnr3500L range booster router. Now it doesn't dc at all.

wifi seems much stronger in latest update
they have also added a notification sound for sms's/email while on call
although the new update does seem a bit more memory hungry, must be all the new bloatware eating the ram lol

Yes, for sure it's hardware problem.. I guess mine's not very serious one since it could be fix with proper firmware..
Did a test back flashed with previous firmwares (playing HD games n xperia play optimized ones):
- 2.3.2 generic HK .184 ---> successfully crash the whole system (screen freeze, touchscreen, d-pad, touchpad, all button did not function)
- 2.3.3 generic HK .145 ---> crash the whole system
- 2.3.2 generic UK .184 ---> crash the system partially (touchscreen, d-pad, X O square circle button could work, other than that couldn't work)
- 2.3.3 generic UK .145 ---> crash the whole system
- 2.3.3 generic Germany .146 ---> crash the whole system randomly in minutes; sometimes in 3mins play, sometimes in 45mins - 1hour
Flashed with 2.3.3 R800i 4.0.A.2.368 World ---> all works well
Don't know if the coming firmware could crash my PLAY system or not

Thought it might be a good idea for all the know early faults to be in one place like the camera zoom fault in video mode etc.
Few guys including me are having issues when using bluetooth. I.e. paired to in car bluetooth. It seems caller cant hear me even thou i can hear them clearly.
Another thing when bluetooth is connected even though you have the loudspeaker option on the phone when pressed it doesnt work. Surely this should be disabled option when connected to bluetooth if it doesnt work anyways?

Could it be related to bt4.0 ?
It could be to do with that. We will have to wait and see when more people connect theres up to there car. Baring in mind the vehicle is fairly new as its a 61 plate merc sprinter 313

After 3 days of testing I have a few things that bother me:
When adding any app as a accessibility service (e.g. Lightflow), the Touchwiz Launcher will start telling you where you are right now, e.g. "Homescreen 3 of 5", "Opening folder". Can be fixed by using Apex or removing the app as an accessibility service.
Waking up the phone isn't always instant.
No USB storage mode, only MTP or PTP. You can't use the phone while transferring files.
Boot animations use Samsung's proprietary QMG format --> no custom boot animations for now
While you're in a call, sometimes you can't use your mobile data connection. Wifi works though.
Attaching headset/earphones shows various audio applications that can be launched in the notification area. These apps cannot be customized.
The accuweather widget has a maximum refresh time of one hour. Setting it to anything less than that is not possible. Also, it doesn't always update the current location.

I'd say the non instantaneous lockscreen would be annoying, and MTP would be a real disadvantage. The S3 doesn't allow you to use your phone while in MTP.
I have a Purple tint in the middle the screen . Do you think it Can disappear with an update

That's a known problem with ICS, had it on my Galaxy Nexus too!
Can anyone tell me what the speaker volume is like on the S3?
Also having bluetooth issues. Paired my s3 to a 2 year old toyota RAV4 and the pairing work ok, however poeple can't hear me at all. Got to work this morning and paired with a new Hyundai ix35 and all work ok. Have got my RAV 4 booked in a toyota next week to see if theres a software upgrade for the stereo. I hope this can be rectified...
So I just recently updated to Nut 's .136 firmware. Sadly the touch screen issue is still there. I have found a temporary solution though. For me, the problem is surely software based. When the touch screen gets buggy, a reboot will always fix it.
I have an app call Fast Reboot Pro installed, which restarts your system without actually restart your phone. I set the app to automatically do a "reboot" every time I unlock the screen. Whenever my screen starts acting buggy, I would just turn off the screen and unlock it.
This seems to fix the problem momentarily. I still hope someone can find a way to fix this for real though.

This was what I've done to my past Z1... But it's still annoying so I decided to sell it and waiting for Sirius or Z2.
This issue is exactly same as Xperia SP... But SP's issue is worse than Z1.

I use Fast Reboot Pro excluding almost all the apps..
I reboot system UI only
It's better to reboot locking the screen than unlocking (so you don't wait the reloading micro-time after you unlock)

May I ask what is wrong with the touchscreen on your phone? Although I dread to ask hehe.
The place I touched is not necessarily where the sensor "thinks" I touched. Or sometimes the screen just goes crazy without me touching anything.

My phone stops recognizing touches and restarts at same spot (thats why swype shows trail, but write scrumbled letters) I get really pisssed. I hope they fix it in 4.4 or I will never buy sony again. (looks like anyway only nexus devices or similar. Cause of all the "anti-modding" attitude of producers)
I update to stock .136 and I can't reproduce it anymore. The issue was there on .290 today, I updated and I don't know what to do to get it back, I miss my favorite problem.
BTW, I receive yesterday the phone and in Sony Center they couldn't find the problem and they scratched my phone everywhere, I tested typing *#*#7378423#*#* and it was there again, the worst service I ever had.

on mine(136) it happens on normal usage, like web surfing(scroll up n down), gaming(dead trigger 2).
mayb u use it normally like wat i mention n report back?

I will try some games like N.O.V.A 3 or H.A.W.X, both of them give me problems with .290, and I will report later.
i get the same problems. It happens during writing on keyboard and browsing on facebook app, imgur app ...
I already play N.O.V.A and some games and still not have the problem after update to .136. I also can put my phone on the bed and use it with one finger. I hope it will stay in this way forever.
i havent been able to reproduce it with .136 since i changed screen protector, no ASF, can't use bare screen because problem is maximized, happier than ever with this phone

You mean Anti-Shatter Film, Yes, I got the phone with that one and I put on it another one, so I got double screen protector and it's very responsive and working fine, at the moment.
Tried this app and so far it works as far as I know...

After spending a lot of time trying to find why the sounds coming through the ear speaker i connected the headset that came with the phone and when i connected it pop up on notification the music on the go ,i hit on it and i configure it. When i connect the head set to pause music and go to dialer for example and when disconnected it to pause music and go to home screen.
After that , i unplugged it and finally the sounds coming through speaker.
I hope that will help others also.

I've been wanting to try the new update but the sound issue is a major deterrent.
However after reading through all the posts it may be a problem with smat connect misbehaving. Some people have found removing smart connect fixed it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51445037&postcount=69).
Seeing as this may be a solution I think I'll upgrade later today and then try this solution if I encounter the same problem.
Maybe more people can try this or if they have post what the result was?
no wonder when i enable back smart connect yesterday, this problem happen.
when i 1st install 4.4, i all the way disable smart connect, so didnt encounter this.
Reading all the posts about the sound issue i tried the easiest solution, uninstalled all the updates of Chrome (i used the most recent version), finally deactivated Chrome itself (using Dolphin now...)
No more sound sound problem since then.
I am not using Smart Connect at all.

I can confirm that deactivating smart connect is fixing the sound issue.

After i put in headset smart connect said to install smartkey and after setup my sound was okay

The first thing i ever do in a rom is delete useless apps including chrome and smart connect.
And I am still having this problem almost daily. Pluging the headset playing something and disconnecting somehow helps.
I had the issue too, even after hard reseting and refreshing stock rom multiple times. The first thing I do is disable apps that I do not use and smart connect is one of them. I kept having the issue even with both chrome and smart connect disabled so I went back to 4.3

Updated my S7 Edge to Nougat. Since the update, the screen recording while playing games no longer works. Even did a factory reset. Anyone else having this issue?

Well, it seems to work if you enable a profile image. I guess it's better than nothing
