We know Octa S4 can have LTE on it, But will it have USA LTE BANDS? Will the International LTE version work on ATT or tmobile?
Who would like octa s4 LTE work with USA LTE bands? How would it work, if it support either att or tmobile LTE?
well Samsung said OCTA-CORE (I9500) will come with LTE Support? it was just said that Exynos chip do supports LTE, but they will not add LTE Chip or whatever it's called in I9500, although i would like to see LTE Version for everyone, one model is better than two different variants

i9500 does not have an LTE modem (although it would support a LTE modem, if Samsung decided to add one). So no, you can't have LTE with the i9500
Well guys Samsung made one but it's Korea only. samsung is not releasing it for the whole world because they can't produce so many octa chips. Here is a link confirming it. Hit thanks please

I hate it when people ask for thanks....especially when they really didn't even do anything - you shouldn't do.stuff on xda looking to raise that thanks bar...just do them to be helpful and if people find you helpful then they will thank you...simple as that
asking for thanks just makes you look desperate in my opinion

LAtin America S4
What variant will the LAtin America S4 have? And will the Korean version work on AT&T HSPA+21 ?
South and Latin America are getting the non LTE version. The only market (announced) getting the Octa with LTE is Korean and not even all of that market since the LTE variation is being made for a specific carrier if I understand it correctly.
I hear that korean version has issues with sms in NA since their software is a bit different. The octa shouldn't be worth importing the device... The snapdragon 600 it still a great performer and you won't notice real world performance difference. Benches are going to be better but are you buying your phone for benchmarking or to use it?
Hello XDA!
Does anyone know if it would be possible to import the SGS IV edition with exynos octa core and 4G (LTE) (SHV-E300) to Europe?
I can't find any thread with that suggestion - Is it because it's just not possible (some import/export restrictions), technical difficulties (carriers not supporting etc.) or just too expensive?
My case is: I own the SGS II and my carrier has planned to open for the LTE in late Q3. So at one side, I want to have the i9505, but when I read the benchmarks I really want to buy i9500. Then I saw a thread in here some place and an article at gsmarena saying that the korean version would be, kind of a fusion of i9500 and i9505
So is it possible or should I just forget about it?

Just be careful in doing so. To my knowledge, a lot of firmware built into those S4's are to support Korean specific carrier features which can interfere with your carrier's features. For example, I know texting is usually heavily effected. Given the limited release of it, just be ready to run into difficulty and have patience if you're going to do so before it's fully compatible with what your carrier has to offer for just a few higher benchmarks.

Okay. damn.. I just really wanted that octa core.. In Denmark, where I live, we get the Snapdragon and only the 16 gb version, and I would love to have the 4G oppertunity as well..

I live in South Korea, the official release will be 25th of April which are couple days counting from I posted this.
I am also still waiting for the detail review and official specification, even here in S. Korea, some web just mention internal memory 16 G, 1.9 octa core, some mention 1.8 octa core.. well wait and see.
I sent some cellphone frequently to South East Asia countries, so far ok but need to deal with custom stuff. Not sure about europe.
Yes, absolutely right if S.Korea smartphone made very custom to S. Korea market, like limitation of SMS to 80 character, they have DMB TV that only works in S. Korea etc. You have to deal with it if you use it in your country.
cheers
If you really want 4G, not sure if really worths buying the Octa. There is an Antutu test where S600 gets 28k, just as Octa and S600 have better GPU.
For me, 4g is just stupid, I want Octa but waiting some reviews, more precisely some opinions related to the battery life and some updated GPU benchmarks

just wondering if anyone got the SHV-E300 yet?
Any good?
I live in Hong Kong and have a guy importing it from Korea to me. I have a choice of all 3 phones though so really hard to decide which one to get.

Alex

Usually get the K version for Asia countries. As mentioned you have a second choice of the China variant as well.

It's a good choice, but it's same as the international one. I don't want a limited edition, because I know that I will have few-to-zero support for it.
Exactly the same. I live in France and we only have that ****ing snapdragon with its old fashionned adreno 320. I wish I could buy the octa version, but with 4g (carriers are upgrading to 4g 800MHz 1800MHz and 2600MHz I think) **** I'm fed up, always compromise with samsung. I wanted to import the shv-e300 but it is too specific to korea. It's gonna be hard to find international upgrade. Maybe the rugged version "active" will fully satisfy me I'm ready to pay for it. But not ready to pay for an ordinary s600 :angel:

Apparently, a GS4 with a Snapdragon 800 chipset has showed up on Antutu benchmarks, clock speeds are apparently going to be 2.3 ghz with the Adreno 330 GPU. So, if it was me, I would wait for that one. Also it's called the Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced or something.

I just upgraded to the SVH-300K and rooted it. It is an excellent phone. The SMS limit doesn't bother me simply because everyone I know uses kakao talk or viber. I only know 2 people that don't have smart phones here. I have found no flaws with it that can't be fixed after rooting, i.e. removing bloatwear. The phone is extremely fast and I love the dual application usage feature were you can actively use 2 apps at one time. To the best of my recollection I hadn't heard anyone mention this on reviews for the I9500 and I9505. Is this application not on them or are people just not using it much?

But you'd have to make sure the network bands are compatible with your telco.
Personally, I'd recommend the I9505. Where I live, I get 40mbps LTE and there's plenty of Dev action here. We already have CM!

The korean supports any network and you recieve an external chrger for the battery and another battery i think.
i had the i9500 and he was Great but im still not sure...
The lte doesnt matter because in my country we are still not supporting LTE until 2015 or something like it ( i live in israel )
what about the htc one? havent tried it yet...
whats the best phone available ?

Um, no. The E300S/K/L all use different bands that are used by SKT, KT, and LG respectively. That's was the reason why I couldn't import one to Singapore. If the bands are compatible with your telco, you might wanna wait for the E330S (Snapdragon 800!!)
If LTE doesn't matter, then still get the I9505.
And as to the matter of which is the best phone, that is an old argument. As always there is no answer. Go compare the features of different phones: whether you want the waterproof xperia z, the sexy One, or the feature packed S4. They're all good choices. Good luck!

How you get the lollipop?
I am so confused which is better N9000 or N9005, which one is the phone that will get most dev support and custom roms,
please don't ridicule me as I read all threads and still am confused which one is the best version
I live in Israel so I assume I need to have the international version so whic one is it N9000 or N9005
I hope things will not be a mess for us as the N3 has so many different versions that confuses the hell out of regular users.
I think it will be quite an interesting forum and I hope we will not end up in a big mess due to different versions of N3
Here are all the variants:
SM-N9002 Dual Sim variant for Chinese Market
SM-N9005 LTE variant
SM-N900K for KT Telecom South Korea
SM-N900L for LGU+ South Korea
SM-N900S for SK Telecom South Korea
SM-N900A for AT&T United States
SM-N900T for T-Mobile USA
SM-N900V for Verizon Wireless
SM-N900,International variant
SLC22 for KDDI AU Japan
SGH-N075 and SGH-N099 for NTT Docomo Japan
So does this mean that N9005 will be international LTE and will have the most dev support on this forum?????
Will N9005 works with Tmobile LTE? If yes, then I will go get one on ebay and cancel my preorder with T-mobile.

If you are referring to the same exact model here: http://negricare.negrielectronics.c.../2355825-samsung-n9-5-galaxy-note-3-32gb-lte-
It only supports 2g on T-mobile
From my reading in different links i can understand the following :
N9000
----------
LTE = NO
CPU = 1.9 Mhz Octa ( 8 core processer ).
GPU = ARM Mali-T628 MP6
--------------
N9005
---------
LTE = YES
CPU = Quad 2.3 Mhz ( 4 core processor ) .
GPU =Adreno 330
Video Recording 4 times better than N9000.
============
Other Specs same
Highlight:
1- N9000 Faster than N9005.
2- N9000 save much battery than N9005.
Please guys correct my understanding if i am wrong ,
It will not work on T-Mobile lte, just like the international S3 and S4 lte models it will only get edge so if you want to use it on T-Mobile expect 2g web

From what I have gathered having the Snapdragon chipset variant will probably get you more dev support since Exynos chips are closed off.
Well that's also another factor as Samsung doesn't like to is very slow to release the sources for their processors.

I don't think I've seen a single shred of evidence to suggest that the Octacore Exynos is either more battery efficient, or more "powerful" than the Snapdragon S800. In fact, if anything, the complete reverse is true.

Indeed! Now to find out which is truly the best then the only way is to have a side by side comparison of those two to see how they perform and what battery life consume!

The other thing you need to worry about is what frequencies your network in the US uses.... N9005 might be locked in at 3G speeds due to it being set up for international bands but US using different ones... Means no LTE/4G...
