Just got the update here in the US. i have a German note. its the version N7000XXKL7
i NOTICEd the following new additions:
- new way to unlock the screen.
-numbers on the top of the keyboard

Front facing camera.
I bought my note form Amazon.com and it arrived in German with instructions on how to enable english language. So I assume its a German Note. I'm in the US. I received an OTA update notification and I also assume its this update as well. I'm rooted and have CWM installed. Is it ok for me to flash it? Will I lose root?

Sounds like I have the same one you do, came with the same instructions for getting it to English. I installed the updates (got 2...one 17 meg, the other bigger), didn't lose root.

Hi guys, I am on 10.3.A.0.423 and just got the warning in Sony Pc Companion that a new update is out!
Hope it fixes the minor lags.
Hope it is not a bug too, because I havent seen this new update being reported anywhere.
My customization number is 1270-5695.
So what is the update version?

Strange... I updated the phone, but it still is on 10.3.A.0.423.
Any way to check if another thing has changed?
PS: I have never flashed anything on it, I always used sony pc companion to update my phone.

Well, it is the same version. I dunno if it is the same version with bugfixes. I dont know how to check that.
But the minor lags seems to be gone, although it may be a placebo effect because I just turned my phone on.
I will use my phone more to see if it has improved anything.
you were using the wrong kernel for your 4.2.2 because it happens to me when i flash other kernel or flash custom rom the sony companion will give me the update as a new update but in fact it's the same.

Even if I have NEVER flashed anything on it?
I've never even rooted my phone.
I opened a lot of apps, games, made a call, browsed a bit, and still no sign of lag or whatsover in the album or anything.
Will test more to see if it really fixed that.
Guys, I am tired of test my phone!
The lags really seems to be gone!
Must be a bugfix update!
Please someone else test to confirm!

It is nice to see Sony making hotfixes this fast.
Actually, EMMA does not know about this update, so it's probably just an app update for the HK region installed by PC companion instead of through OTA...

5695 is hk customization so i think he was using the honk kong fw

I can confirm that the lag is gone, from what I can see till now, from everywhere. There is still a semi lag in the list where I choose Widgets. But with the former 4.2.2, the lag there was bad. I am still installing apps on my phone and after that I can test correctly. Now there is no lag on Lockscreen Widgets, before when I slided down the Widget, I got lag, now it's smooth. I tried hard to make the main screens and Drawer pages to lag and 0 result. So Sony hat down with this update.
No update in The Netherlands yet
As the title says, I'm on firmware 17.1.2.A.0.314 but when I check for updates with my Z2 there is one available for 17.1.2.A.0.314. Furthermore it says I can only use a computer to apply this update.
Got the same thing here. Not sure what to do either.
Update it and see for yourself.

I too also seeing the same thing as well, with the US Customized.
I'll have to check this when I get home and use XperiFirm to see what it shows before I update.

Which new apps you got via this update?
I'm in the Canadian Variant D6503 and the only apps I saw that were added to my device are Kobo and Crackle

Yep, Crackle and Kobo were added to US firmware, too. Why Sony thinks we want more bloat, I don't know, but at least it can be uninstalled.

Nevermind, I had to use flashtool-0.9.18.6-windows to build the FTF (which then failed to flash)
So I upgraded back to flashtool-0.9.23.1-windows and it has flashed

you should use anyhow the latest version because before 0.9.23.x it didn't support nougat resulting in failed flashes, didn't brick or anything the device but the flash failed.

Thats cool, I was just getting java errors using the builder with the latest version!
Major drawback with 7.0 and the keyboard
There is no option to select different language from the keyboard like it was with CTRL - Spacebar before. In the settings also for the physical keyboard you can only select 1 language.
What the hell happened here....

Oh well thats no good. Im using the firmware currently. Its ok but when you compare marshmallow with root to it you only really get multi apps and new settings. With root you can use android n ify. Still a good update but having unlocked bootloader is pointless at the moment.

SGP712 is the WiFi model, SGP771 is the lte model
If sony has pulled the update from their servers there should be majors bugs

Yeah, SGP771 is the LTE model of course. There was a problem with third party audio and some encryption with SDcard.
Anybody please with 32.3.A.0.372 SGP771 link? is not in the list anymore.

I have the Russian one on my device and yes, spotify is NOT installed as a system app. (this was a reason I am still using it! )

I have a similar issue, despite the fact that my Xperia X Compact is not customized.
I received all the past updates (the last in October, received on 9 October), but the last update (from 9 November) for me is not available yet.
if I check for new updates, the message say that "your phone is updated" is regular? Maybe Sony didn't released yet November update for the Italian firmware? I also tried by using Xperia Companion software, but the phone still result updated, but I still have the build 34.A.0.238 from October.
I have to patiently wait?

Yes, you have to wait. I was on italian firmware,but today I flashed russian firmware, usually It is updated faster.

No at all, but it is cleaner than italian firmware in fact russian firmware is 40/45 MB smaller. It's the second day, and I can say It's very good, no problems.
