battery like Juice Defender - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I used JD in the past but I see it has not been updated in over a year. Any reason why? I'm looking for an app the works the same way. JD made my GSII last 3x longer since it shutdown all data until I used it or ever hour to update. Looking for this on my GS4.

Biting your tongue off would have been an improvement

Like I said in my first response to your last post, you don't need these nonsense apps. Learn to use your phone the right way. Juice defender only uses battery. Why do you think it hasn't been updated in over a year?

And did you read my response that I didn't install any apps unless you don't know the concept of the words "I did not install an app "from the last post??? If you don't like questions move on to the next post.
I do not root my phones. The JD help sort of like suspending the service since you could stop any app form sending data and it would shutdown wifi/data/blutooth once my screen is off or not being used automatically. It just help do things with out me turning it off. If that is lazy then yes. I don't like to install apps after apps to test because I was advised it would create bloat on the phone.

picture taken when unlocked

It would be cool if there is an app that would take a picture from the front facing when the phone is unlocked. so you would know if someone was screwing with your phone..
I really only care because of neatness, not really practicalness.
I'm sure someone has done something like this.?

Wowww, you failed pretty hard right there, son. It was instantly obvious to me that he meant an app that took a snapshot at the moment of unlock as a kind of security snoop measure to track who messes with his phone.
Did I really just type it over again for him...? Ahahaa

Would be cool indeed, if someone took your phone and u found it, bam evidence of who took it.
It would really be cool if you could have it upload the pics to your Dropbox account (or other site of your choice). Could help find who stole the phone much quicker.

i think the tone of his reply was in response to your own smart-ass "magical" camera app comment, so maybe look in the mirror before posting yet another rude comment, eh?
That was because of me not reading it properly, if he had handled it right there would not have been any reason for his tone, if he had said maybe you should read the over instead of being a smartass, I would have handled it better, I admit after seeing the full post yes I came off like a smartass but only because I didn't read the full post. Don't get on my ass though for messing up on something that I thought he said this is between me and him not anyone else. I've made a profile in Tasker that takes pictures when I send a certain text message phrase to my phone. The developer for Tasker says he's working in front-camera support so it's just a matter of time.

BTW that app sounds like a great idea.. though.. if it always took a picture it would fill my SD CArd quickly.

Extremely upset.

I'm posting this here because I know my fellow G2-ers will help me out. Yesterday night I posted in the straight general forum asking to trade my other G2 for a mytouch 4G. I was unaware that I was posting in the wrong place, and couldn't find the right forum. Well I received a message from a mod, saying I was docked 5 points and I lost all of my post counts and everything. This is rather upsetting because I feel as I help this forum out as much as I can, and when I'm penalized for something like this, it makes me want to remove my account. It was simply an accident. Is there a way I can get in contact with a mod, and talk to them and maybe get this turned around? Its rather frustrating. Any help is welcomed.

I don't mean to be a bother, but they might get after you for this too. This seems to be an issue with the forum/moderators, not a G2 issue...
I would contact the moderators themselves if I were you, posting a thread to the users who don't have power won't be very productive.
I hope this gets resolved though, it doesn't seem fair at all.

Have you been warned about posting in the wrong thread before or anything? I know it takes a warning and they will do something like that but it does seem drastic to take away thanks AND all your posts. That is a bit extreme...

Yup. I haven't seen cases of power-hungry mods here at xda, but at other forums they're more prevalent. It would be nice if websites could have a form that regular members can fill out to report a moderator.

LOGS from ICS leak

Hi guys,
Could anyone please collect the logs that are being generated by the ICS leak, zip the folders they are in and share them?
I'd do it myself though i don't have the leak installed.
Thanks in advance.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app
Hm, this is fishy. You only just appeared here (2 posts in total) and already you're asking people to send you their logs? And your request for the AT&T bloat is just weird.
Dunno, fishy.
If you really want some logs, I suggest you install the leak and collect them yourself.
Hi there,
Is there a welcome thread i need to add my first post to?
Nothing fishy going on here. I read about the leak and how it had logs enabled, making the phone crawl. I instantly thought about analyzing these verbose logs to try and pick up where the original dev(s) left off. Logs will help further development of the release.
As for the AT&T files, i want to see if there's anything in them that would explain why the leak was pulled from this site.
Thanks for reading.

Dunno. Still seems easier to just install the leak and collect the logs yourself. After you're done, you can restore your nandroid backup and it'll be as if nothing ever happened.
Anyway, I'm not running the leak myself so I can't really help you either way. Maybe someone else will be of more help.
There is an introduce yourself thread (or something like that) in the general section of this forum.

it also has rules against pointless posts.
Pointless posts contribute more garbage to the forum than pointless threads.
It also puts people at risk of getting fired. Remember people, in this modern society, your online profile can quickly get tracked back to you, and some companies don't take kindly to employee's who reflect badly on their place of work.

I am one of the very few people that i know around me at work that know wtf root/unlock is a for a android phone. I make sure that every dumbass person that comes into my store leaves knowing that a adv task killer is a waste for newer android phone. I tell people this when i see it installed. Also to add if you tell people that thats what you think when you talk to them in a retail world, have fun getting help when it comes to something that you need help with.
