I was wondering how to get my apps I previously downloaded on another ROM to automatically restore with a newly installed ROM? My phone is flashed to cricket so I don't know if that has anything to do with it...Sorry for the dumb question....Thanks in advance

you can use titanium backup to batch restore your apps

That's what im talking about...They don't download for some reason..its weird

Google sync downloads them all. I use adw launcher that allows you to back up app placement on you home screens. Makes it real easy to resetup everything when I flash to a new rom.

The paid version of titanium backup allows one click automated reinstallations of your app backups.

Hmm that's strange. So a reboot didn't fix this? I would reflash the firmware, that should fix it. If it doesn't I fear a factory reset should be done.
thanks for the help.
i managed to find a way to fix the problem. so fyi for anyone who encounters the same problem.
first for into applications and clear the data in email or if you have titanium backup wipe the email application's data.
then go direct into settings, accounts and sync, then add your email account from there using same setup process as you would normally. once this is complete you should be able to then open the email application without anymore force close issues etc...
hope this help someone in future!

Hey guys, after I rooted my SGT, my gmail app is there, but my widget is gone. Anyone know how to get it back?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Check and see if gmail got moved to the SD card. If it did move it back to phone and reboot.

Common issue when you root the SGT, happened to me. See the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15214760&postcount=2 to fix it.
Nice sk63! Worked no problem. Thanks guys.

an even EASIER way was to go into recovery, wipe cache and wipe Dalvik Cache then reboot.

When I found the Gmail.apk in /system/app/ I didn't have an option to uninstall, so i hit delete instead. I thought there was a gmail app in the Market, but after I deleted, there was no app in the market. Does anyone mind posting a copy of the apk for me?
Yeah man, when I get home ill upload the apk. If you still need it.

I updated cm 10.1 and I went into titanium backup and uninstalled the apps that come with it (Apollo, default browser) and it comes with another calendar app that I uninstalled because I use google calendar from the play store. I uninstalled some data thing as well which got rid of the calendar sync option when you go to your account in settings (where contact sync, currents sync etc. Is) so now my calendar is not syncing. What do I do besides factory reset??
I've tried reflashing the ROM and the 4.2.2 Gapps but it didn't fix the problem.
I went to system/apps and tapped on calendarprovider.apk and it tried to install calendar storage but the install keeps failing.
I've asked this many times but no one seems to know the answer so for another desperate plea,
Please help! This is becoming a big problem for me as I rely on my calendar almost everyday!

You kinda wrote the easiest solution there yourself... Factory reset.
Also, if messing with the calendar has given you problems before, why the hell would you do it again?
Sounds to me like you're doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome.

I didn't do this before. And I can't afford to do a reset I just need a way of getting back all the files

Looking in my files on my phone with solid explorer k found these (look at pic) in the Titanium Backup folder in my Internal Memory directory.
I think I need to somehow install these files because they have to do with sync. Which is what I need.

By the looks of it I need to find a way to install calendar storage. It is not installed on my phone.
Help

The easiest way would just be to dirty flash your ROM & gapps again.
Dirty flash meaning don't wipe anything.
Just boot back into recovery. Flash cm and gapps again then reboot

This will put Apollo etc back but you can just remove them again.
Performing a factory reset will probably not solve your issue as I'm pretty sure that calendar storage is a system apk and a factory reset will not modify anything in the system

g2 stock apps
Thanks, tried pushing both of those to the priv—app folder and changing permission and ownership but they still don't show up in the app drawer. Anything I am missing?
