I have a Verizon G2, if I download that new OTA upgrade, will it prevent me from rooting my phone in the future? I'm not rooted yet and I'm tired of seeing the notification
No. Current update does not block root.

Hi all, I am using a rooted F320s korean variant. I have rooted recently and now there is a ota that I am unable to install due to the lg root check. So is there anyway I can receive the current one and everyone after this without doing a clean flash back to root? Thanks a lot for you help.

What country you in. I am in UK and can't get my korean G2 working with my UK t-mobile SIM. Did you do anything special to make yours work.

Has anyone downloaded the latest update that enables Sprint 's Spark LTE service? If so, can you upload the update file so it can be nodded to work on rooted phones?

I'm rooted and on TWRP.
Waiting for someone more brave and savvy to confirm it DOESNT break root.
Ill also wait for a flashable zip for custom recovery.

Try freezing software updates with TB or rom toolbox.

Hi all, i just got my g2 verizon 2 days ago and i rooted the phone just now. I read that even though my phone rooted and stock rom i can update via ota. But i want to bypass verizon mobile hotspot. Do i still can update ota after bypass the verizon mobile? And if i flash custom rom do i have acsess to my gsm and cdma. Because i used both of them. Thanks in advance and sorry if this thread already been posted before.

Hey guys, quick question. I bought a. Sprint LG G2, and had Boost Mobile Re sku it so i could use it with their service. I know sprint is rolling out the lollipop update, so i was wondering if i would still receive the update being as the phone is unlocked or do i need to update manually.
