Hello my friends,
I've got a big problem with my screen. If I start my phone the display and the touchscreen works fine. But when I turn the screen off manually or the screen turns of automatically, I can't turn it on again. Sometimes it works, but normally not...I thought it could be a software problem, so I made a total wipe and reinstalled Cyanogenmod 7.2 again but it didn't solved the problem. Maybe some of you have any ideas.
Thank you very much.
Hardware issue, because it can't be software

Hello XDA,
I have a problem with my secondary phone HTC HD2 with its screen and it's getting rather annoying to work with it.
I installed the Cyanogenmod 7 on it via magdlr/cwm and it all worked fine until the screen started acting up. It stops responding completely, then after a few locks/unlocks it works for a while, then dies again. It appears to work after rebooting, then it's the same story again.
I tried a full wipe and clearing all the caches from CWM, but I'd say this is a screen issue. Any ideas?

hardware problem. you'll need a new screen.
Hello guys,
I have defy MB525 with Stock Rom. Touch becomes unresponsive after wake. It works normal until screen gets off either by pressing power button or by system itself.
I've tried waking it with the volume rocker but with no success. Phone doesn't get hang because I can still change volume.
To get it working once again I have to boot it again by pulling out battery.

Check talkback if it is on or not. Wipe cache & delvik should be helpful in that case. If it doesnt help. I can hardly suggest a factory reset. May be any app you are using is the cause of that behaviour.

Just did the factory reset, still problem persist. I'll re-flash sbf later today. I have got digitizer replaced due to total unresponsiveness in 1/4 area of screen caused by water damage.
Flashed sbf , phone booted up normally but I still can not get rid of this issue.. Any suggestion ?
my touch gets unresponsive when the battery gets really hot....
Just to stop screen getting turn off after time out, I set it to "Never time out", and luckily in few minutes after wake touch started working untill I switch off display manually , I am unable to determine whats the issue with the phone.
Hi.
I'm new on this forum and I need help about my phone..
I've been using it for 5 weeks but suddenly touchscreen stopped responding.
I've tryed reseting it, factory reset, but nothing worked.
Do you know how can I fix this? I'm pretty sure that my touch works fine because sometimes when I shake the device it works again but after few hours it stops to respond again!

Try this - reinstall battery, turn telephone on and leave it on opening screen for 2-4 minutes. I have problem with not responding touchscreen and I realised that after that time of continuous screen working it starts to work again. But only till I turn it off - then it is not responding again.
Hi there.
First of all i'm from Denmark, so sorry for my english.
I have a Oppo find 5 with CM 11 ( Cyanogenmod )
The other day when i took it out of my pocket to check on it, the screen dosen't turn on when i unlock it with the power button.
The onscreen button's starts to light, but the screen keeps black for 5-10 minutes, then it randomly turns on by it self..
I have made a hard reset, tried a different ROM but nothing seems to help.
Is there any of you in here that can help me, or knows what the problem could be ?
Have you tried stock rom? It could also be hardware failure.
Hi,
It's an known bug in cm11, but maybe it's fixed in latest nightlies. Better read on the oppoforums since there is more activity about this.

Hi everyone!
So I just had this problem after I woke up yesterday. I googled a lot but only found similiar problems.
Let me tell you what happened chronologically:
After turning the phone on in the morning it started updating apps as if I was doing a firmware update: "updating apps 1 of 135" etc. Note that my nexus was already running on 5.1.1 and had the latest updates installed.
Now it randomly freezes the screen on whatever screen it was before it happens and it won't respond to any touch input. This can also happen when not using the phone, then it will freeze at the lockscreen (the time freezes with it so sometimes i can see at what time it froze). Also, it loses connection with Wi-Fi as i'm using Whatsapp Desktop when i'm on my laptop and it mentions me that my phone is not connected.
The only thing that "fixes" (temporarily) it is a reboot. Now sometimes, on the lockscreen, i can just hold the power button and the pop-up comes in to turn the phone of, which i can somehow just tap on an it responds by turning the phone off. But sometimes (less frequent than the latter mentioned) the pop-up doesn't come in and holding the power button for a few secs will do the trick.
I hope I informed you all enough and my end question is: does any of you know what this is? How i can fix it or what i can do to prevent it or anything as I am hopeless. (my G3 is up for reparation so this is my sisters old phone, i had a nexus 4 myself for 2 years before the G3).
Thanks in advance!!
The best way to test it is by reformat the OS.
I positively think that it will solve the problem.
Since the phone is no longer under warranty, I guess there is no harm to install custom rom on it. They are fast and stable too.
Hope this help. Good luck.

EXACT thing happened to me too. Backup your data and hard reset from recovery. This fixed it for me
Same problem here bro, but neither custom roms or factory reset helps.... Is there anyone who has successfully solved the problem ?

Then it's time to change the screen or phone. Looks like it is a hardware issue.

I agree, your screen needs to be replaced.
