Does anyone know if it is possible to install the stock LG Keyboard from the G2 on a Nexus 4? I would think so since they are both LG devices. I've backed up the app with TiBU, but that gives me .vs files. I'm not sure how to install those. My wife really wants the icons that cine with the stock keyboard. Thanks.

Have you tried going into the root of your phone and pulling a copy of the APK out of system/app. I don't know if it will work for sure, but you would need to add it into the system/app directory on your wife's phone and give the proper rights.

nope, likely won't work at least not without a ton of work. That being said implying that it's because they are both LG phones means they will work is like implying that a AA battery could be used in place of a Car Battery, i mean they are both batteries after all

Either LG or, more likely, at&t have disabled the option to use the LG themes on the at&t G2. Does anyone know how we can enable it? I'm willing to upload any needed files that aren't already available if anyone wants to try. The theme ability is the only thing keeping me from using the stock launcher and I'd really like to use it since transparency won't work on Nova Launcher.

As just a side thought, maybe you can take the LGOG home apk and push it to system. That one supports themes...
I know that there's a thread for it. This guy took the apk and now there are versions for ICS, JB and JB 4.2. I think the 4.2 version of the home apk is worth a shot, since this phone runs 4.2.2 (the only difference is that it's slimmed down I think and made compatible).
Try it, just the clock doesn't work. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2198225
Soooooooo. I downloaded the new OTA for my verizon note 3. I think the verizon cloud is kind of cool considering I've accidentally deleted my camera folder twice (oops) However, one thing I don't like is the change in color in the keyboard. It isn't white/grey anymore and it depresses me. I want the old keyboard back. Is there any way to get it back?
Find one from one of the Roms out there that still have the white keyboard and install it. You may have to move to system/app which ota??? Mj7, mi9?, something new?

I would assume you could pull the apk out of the stock rooted mj7 rom. just use 7zip to pull apk out. I would download a free keyboard off the playstore as a backup in case for some reason it doesn't work, but no reason it shouldn't.

it was the OTA that just came out today. i used to be big into rooting, but i don't have much time for it anymore. plus now that i'm paying for my own phone and my dad isn't, i don't want to mess anything up. (; lol
Pics of new keyboard plz. Just curious
Pay for SwiftKey, last time you will want to change keyboards.

Here ya go. To me it's easier on the eyes and the auto correct feels smoother.

I do think the auto correct was improved. The last version I disabled it was so bad.

I don't understand anyone not using the SwiftKey keyboard.

I personally don't like it. And until today, I've been using the Google keyboard.

I like the new (old old) dark theme but i use Swiftkey anyway. I don't like that the Samsung Keyboard doesn't allow to modify the press and hold delay.
I love that Swiftkey allows a quick right or left drag on the period key to get exclamation or question mark without having to wait for press and hold.
Hello all. I'm on my second G2 now after the first had the phantom touchscreen issues. On the original I ran,a few different roms before realizing -gasp!- that I really liked the original. So I've decided to root, and use titanium backup to remove the stock apps. Which leads me to my question:
Does anyone have a list of which apps are safe to remove? I'm really planning on gutting all the Verizon apps, most of the LG apps, and whatever else crapware it shipped with, but I want to be sure i won't break the os. Thanks!
Ok secondary question Does anyone know how to make the spacebar on the stock keyboard longer? I love it besides the fact I'm constantly hitting the comma button lol. Thanks again!

Hibernate them all with greenify
Sent from my LG-D803 using Tapatalk
Will that be as effective to free up memory and ram as removing them?

Here's a list for Verizon. Hasn't been updated in a while by the looks of it, but it should be a good start.

Maybe just the widgets are missing. I had that once on JB. Even the phone widget went missing
Anyone have the G3 theme files that we can use for our G2, like there is for the LG Flex Theme?

You can download it here, including the launcher and weather widget from the G3. - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764782

But it doesn't do anything on this port.
You have to have the underlying APK for that functionality as well.
Further, this isn't really a G3 UI, as much as it is a G3 Launcher and icon pack. The holy grail will be the "porting" over of the G3 APKs to the G2, which should be pretty stinking easy given that they both run 4.4.2. Hell why doesn't LG just release the apps over their app updates? They actually just might do this.
I pray for the G3 interface every damn day. When the G3 comes out, I have the tools to port it myself if it comes to that.
Cheers
