I have an LG Optimus G Pro. I have recently been offered an Oppo 5 trade for my phone. Lg optimus g pro is amazing but the rom the rom development for the phone is dead or nearly none. I like extensive custom rom/development/kernel support. Should I trade my OGP for the find 5?

I seem to have not found any threads on this, but I was wondering if I could have the LG interface that is on the optimus G on the Nexus 4.
Please reply with any insight.
Thank you

A likely port will hopefully come soon.

The optimusG can be loaded up with a complete firmware of 8gb nexus 4. I hope it can be done the other way round too. Might get a decent quadrant score
is any one currently working on this port? If Optimus G can get nexus' firmware why not the other way?
I was reading about specifications in Nexus 4 and Optimus G, and they are almost twins, wich one is better?
There's a Oxygen like rom for Optimus G?
Don't know if there's a place for questions like this, sorry if I'm asking in the wrong section...
They are the same on the inside for the most part but the G has more storage I believe. The software is very different. You can't flash software between them but you can flash the G and turn it into an 8gb nexus 4.
Um well the nexus is directly from Google so you can expect updates first so there is one difference.

Actually I own both devices and Optimus G has almost perfect function with nexus 4 conversion. Well since Optimus G also has some blooming development Optimus G is not a bad choice.
One thing I have to say is the screen is so much better. It really is. I have no idea why but if you just compare those two, it is so much better
I guess there is a reason why Optimus G is slightly more expensive than Nexus 4

In my opinion Nexus is more interesting device as updates are directle from google (already was said), looks nice (glass) and just simple as the phone must be
I'm looking to get a new tablet and it's down to the note 8 or gpad. Is there any thing the note holds over the gpad? Any reason not to buy the note?

This has been covered many times already. Try searching.
Ultimately, just make you're own mind up. Nobody can do that for you.
It's up to you mate.
Both phones are great indeed.
The LG G2 is like a cousin to the Nexus5.
If you're one who likes to play with Android and like the stock OS then the Nexus 5 is what you're looking for.
If you are more into the LG UI for Android and the features of the LG then LG G2 is for you.
One major difference is the pricing here!!
I'm using the Nexus 5 and I'm loving it. The only con I find is the low battery given in it. The 2300mAh battery is a little low for a power user like me.
But then again you get some you loose some!!
