How to capture screen on G2?

Hold power button and volume down.
Sent from my LG D800 using xda free because xda pro is broken!!!!

Or swipe up from bottom, to quick memo, and save. I find this easier, cause I have huge fingers... lol

I agree, only thing is it cuts off the navigation bar when u use quickmemo, which isn't a big deal IMO...

U got to hold both buttons together for the screenshot to kick in "power and volume down button." Otherwise quick memo is awesome too

Asus screen shot ability on Nexus 7?

Is there anyway to get the Asus screen shot shortcut (press and hold recent apps) on the Nexus 7?

Press Power and Volume Down simultaneously.

I am aware of power and volume down, but the design of the buttons combined with the folio case make it hard to access them. I am looking for an on screen shortcut like Asus uses on the TF300. Thanks.

Do you mean something like this. I don't know if you can add to the power menus on stock.

Yes, something like that would be great.

I found an app called "Screenshot It" that adds a shortcut to the notification area. Thanks everyone for the input.
yeah AOKP has a power menu option to add it when you hold the power button, very easy to use
If your device is rooted, you can use a program called utter! (a voice activated assistant with a lot of voice commands that runs in the background). Shake your device to wake up utter! and say "Take a screenshot". Most commands in utter! do not require a rooted device but a few do.
If your ok aokp, you can change a softkey to a screen shot one. Really cool.

Home button wakeup

Hi note II xda!
I'm trying to stop the home button from waking up the screen, but with no success. I've read a thread which said to edit seckeys.kl , but I don't have such a file. This is the thread :
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836758
Now I'm asking you, what should I do to disable home button wakeup?

I personally like the home button starting the phone.

I'm using WidgetLocker , which means if I press the home button it wakes up directly without even going to the lockscreen, that's why I'm trying to get rid of it.
Nobody?

How do I turn off the sidebar?

Hey folks:
I have been looking for days to turn off the little sidebar app with all the shortcuts. I can't find the app to disable or the setting to turn off!
Any one know how?
Thanks,

Try long pressing the back button
It took me a while to figure out as well. If you want it back long press it again (multi window must be enabled)

Question: Can you force the home/back keys to stay on screen at all times? Like say if you go into the camera the buttons disappear. Is there a way to force them to be on all the time?

They don't disappear on mine. However on mine the icons turn into dots sometimes, like in the camera. Not sure why.

Buttons stay or go away based upon the app you are using. Camera...they stay on. Netflix or any other video, they go bye bye. Varies by app I believe
