Defy stuck in Motorola Red Logo - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My Motorola Defy is stuck in the Motorola red boot logo.
I tried booting in bootmode (vol-up+power) and flashed a stock SBF that I always used to flash before, flash was completed till the end, but when the phone is rebooted, it is also stuck at boot logo.
I can not even enter any recovery (stock or custom)
Please help what to do....
Hady

Try to go to stock recovery, with power and down volume key, then press vol up & down together for menu, make wipe cache. That helped me.

I couldn't enter the stock recovery (power+vol-down), stuck in Motorola red logo.
What else can I do?
I can flash SBFs in bootmode, are there any wipe-all SBF that I can use?

Help urgently

I flashed cyanogenmod 7.1 for my defy about an hour ago and noticed there was no market so i decided to use the defy recovery app to go into recovery (dont know why ) to install gapps and now it just sits at boot.
i have tried to use rsd to flash but when i do it just does the same, gets to the boot animation and sticks on that. all help appreciated thanks.
did you try to wipe data/cache from stock recovery? or you cant even access that? (hold vol down+power when switched off, and when the androd logo with the triangle appears, press vol up and down at the same time)

Sorry stock not working .
Define: not working
What's the issue: unable to enter, unable to wipe?

When I press vol -, nothing happens. Defy not be included in the stock recovery mode. Works only vol + (botloader).
Holding both volume down and power button even after the Motorola logo should get you into the stock recovery I.e android with an exclamation. From there holding both volume buttons should be enough. If this does not work then an sbf flash is necessary

If you are stuck with BL7, there's no way to downgrade from it.
Now, you'll have to follow this tutorial here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542956
It's simple. And if you do everything described, there's no way you will solve your problem.
After this, you'll be able to flash any Custom ROM.
Good Luck.
"1. Wipe phone twice (2x make Wipe Data/Cache in stock recovery)"
I can't enter the stock recovery in that my problem.: (

So, you are stuck in the Boot Loader screen?
Try following those steps:
1. Flash the .sbf file (4.5.1-134 DFP-231 CN or 4.5.1-134 DFP-231 Retail.en.EU CEE) directly from RSD Lite.
2. Reboot. Even if you get stuck in a bootlooping screen, hold Vol. Down Key while booting. Once inside de Stock Recovery screen, press both Vol. Down and Up keys at same time and do a Wipe.
3. After that, flash the rooted SBF 4.5.1-134 DFP-231 Retail.en.EU CEE Rooted SBF from RSD Lite

As far as I know, if your ROM enters in the M Logo, you should be able to get in the stock recovery.
This is one of the good things about having a locked bootloader.
Remember to press the Vol. Down Key on the right time, when the LED turns on for a while.
If it doesn't work, try holding the Vol. Down Key and then press the Power button to turn it on.
After that, in the Recovery Screen, press both Vol. Down and Vol. Up keys at the same time to access the Recovery Menu.
Please, let me know if it worked.
Good Luck.

As I told before, it's normal to get a bootloop in the DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN.
After flashing this one, you still have to flash the 4.5.1-134 DFP-231 Retail.en.EU CEE Rooted SBF.
Reposting the steps:
If you can't wipe, just flash it with RSD Lite from the bootloader screen. To get there, hold Vol. Up Key while turning on your device.

Motorola Defy+ MB526 stuck on logo animation (red M) after installing CM10 2ndboot

Hello everyone,
So, I had a very rootable, very functional Defy+ till yesterday when I decided that instead of the latest CM72 nightly from Quarx:
http://quarx2k.ru/cm7-nightly-defy+/cm-72-20120923-NIGHTLY-Defy+.zip
..I should install CM10 ..from the same provider:
http://quarx2k.ru/cm10-2ndboot-nightly-defy(+)/CM10-20130318-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip
I thought that the bootloader, currently 2nd init, will get overwritten by 2nd boot. Well. it didn't. Unfortunately, I wasn't very happy about the performance of CM10 on my defy+ and then tried to downgrade again to CM72 by installing the zip file from above. After installing, the bootloader had both 2nd init and 2nd boot options available. If 2nd boot was selected, the phone stayed at the red logo and nothing after. If 2nd init was selected, I got a bootloop with CM7 animation. Ok this was a failure.
After that, considering I still had access to bootmenu and recovery, I installed this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582187
Booted ok, only if selected "normal" boot, the rest of boot options failed. Somehow, after a reboot, the phone was acting like a fresh install, meaning that in my last session, nothing was saved.
Next step was to flash a full SBF. I thought that bootloader would have to be cleared, I've read that a SBF is actually repartitioning the internal memory. Ok, and I tried with:
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt..._USAJRDNGIBRRTCEE_P022_A022_Service1FF.sbf.gz
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...JRDNGIBRRTGB_P023_A025_M002_Service1FF.sbf.gz
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...DNGIBRRTDACH_P019_A022_M002_Service1FF.sbf.gz
With all of them, I get the phone in download mode, everything seems to install ok, but RSD Lite gets stuck at "rebooting phone", phone reboots, gets stuck on red M logo animation, RSD Lite then shows "please manually reboot phone" (or something like that), I remove battery, enter download mode again, and then RSD Lite shows PASS.
Still, after reboot, it's stuck at red M logo animation. What can I do?
Also, now I have no battery, and I have to externally recharge mine...
If you need any other details, please ask.
It's working now. After flashing a SBF, I entered Recovery Mode (Power and Vol Down), entered the Recovery Menu (Vol Up + Vol Down) and wiped everything. SuperOneClick doesn't work. How can I root this?

[Q] Please provide best ROMS and SBF for my Motorola defy Mb525

Anyone please provide a better sbf file and ROM cm9 or 10 for my motoroal defy .. its completely bricked .. and i can't find a better one ... just provide one working sbf file to flash. i don't need a list of SBF file. if u can't provide here .. please send the links to my address >> [email protected]
I tired numerous SBF files to flash thru RSD lite. .. but it stuck at black screen or logo. and when i enter into boot menu thru Triangle logo (Holding vol- button & pressing back button on screen) I can't wipe data / factory reset .. as i selects.. it keeps on restarting. Please help me
Were you able to enter the stock recovery? You need to wipe data and cache from the stock recovery after you flash a sbf..
Edit:
When you get that triangle logo,
Press volume up -down buttons consecutively (up-down up-down up-down) .. you'll then get the stock recovery. Wipe data and cache and reboot. You should be able to boot into the stock ROM.
Then follow the steps from this thread to root, install 2nd init, flash CM 9. All the best!

[Q] Defy stuck in bootloop even after sbf-flash

Hi all,
i've tried to upgrade my Defy (MB525) to CM11 from Slimrom. First I updated the CWM recovery, then I tried flashing CM11 but the installation aborted. After restarting the Defy I wasn't able to reach the Custom Recovery again. So I tried flashing an original sbf (Retail German 2.2.2. and Retail US 2.2.2.) from this site: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=27.
Everytime RSD asks me to restart the Phone manually and displays "PASS" after the manual reboot. But then it is stuck in bootloop. When I try to perform a Factory reset over "power button and vol -" there is only a little triangle on the display but no Motorola stock recovery.
So could anybody tell me what to do next? I assume that I could only reach the bootloader mode now..
Thanks for your help!
Stock recovery
Exclamation mark in triangle and droid symbol is stock recovery.
Press both vol+ and vol- to see the menu. Then wipe data/factory reset.
Good luck!
press the both volume button(increase and decrease) and then you will get stock recovery option
Perfekt! Thanks, guys!
