Hi. I had a 16 GB n 4 before, then moved to s3. My question is this. I now own the 8gb n4, can I still install ROMs like I normally did on my 16 GB version or not? like will the pacman ROM work on both 8 and 16 GB version?
Yes u can. I had a 8gb, then a 16gb. Nothing changed but the gb's.
On that Pure Speed X

I thought the minimum was 512mb, do you remove stuff under the hood or how is it done?
Also, how is it possible to run Kitkat on such low internal storage?
I remember a month ago nobody even thought of Kitkat but then androidarmv6 came in
Its possible

Of cource, it is possible! Our orginal RAM is 0.38 GB, but only 290 MB is user available! Even device than galaxy Y runs kitkat almost stable like Galaxy 5!
Infact, 500 MB RAM is used to run KK flawlesslt!

I think not
Android Jelly Bean Smartphone with 512MB of RAM can sometimes make the performance of the smartphone to be slow, let alone KitKat on 300MB RAM?
Sorry for bad english
I'm currently running KitKat on my TassVe, which is essentially a Totoro under a Galaxy Mini shell, and I can say that it's smooth most of the time. Typing can be a bit laggy, and some apps (such as Titanium Backup) can take a long time to boot. But overall still smooth enough for daily use. Only complaint is the epic power consumption of the ROM.
Oh and this is the experimental build. Before asking, no, I will not provide links to it.
Like the title already says i am looking for the best ROM for the Galaxy S4 to use everyday so it has to be stable and bugfree.
The reason why i dont want the stock touch wiz rom anymore is that it lets only 9gb free on my 16 gb model.
Please recommend me ROMs that are reliable and if possible also with the ability to move Apps to the SD Card.
Thanks and greetings
Any rom is stable and no rom is bugfree.
Couldnt you have posted in one of the 3268 existing best ROM threads

the best rom is Stock 5.0.1. who cares about available memory, get a 64gb sd card.

Best as in what the hell is subjectivity.
I would recommend
Lollipop german version.
Echoerom.
But for you. Try the cm12 alucard and antaresone's rom. I find it refreshing . Bonus: it's like 400mb in total. Including gapps.:good:
I find the GPE roms to be very good.
I tried the CM12 Optimzed builds and faced several problems.
With the GPE roms I've never had any trouble. Also have great battery life.
Hello, I'm planning to buy this phone because it seems to be pretty good and its only $130 in my town. I love the fact that it is XDA-supported(in terms of ROMs, recoveries etc.). I have a couple of questions:
1) How is the bootloader of Redmi 2 unlocked? Can you link me a guide or what? I heard that Xiaomi started locking up its bootloaders, but I don't know if it applies to this specific device.
2) Which is the best ROM in terms of stability, battery life and performance?
1) No the bootloader is not locked. (Till Now)
Ultimate Guide (Rooting to Flashing Roms)
2) CM13.0

You mean this ROM? Also, I'm planning to buy the 1 GB RAM/8 GB variant of the phone. Should I be careful when flashing custom ROMs in that matter? I mean, are there any significant differences from 2 GB RAM/ 16 GB variant apart from RAM and internal storage size? Also, should I tune my CPU when I flash CM 13 as explained in this thread?

Yes that's the rom i am talking about.
There is no significant difference in the two variants apart from ram and storage. You can flash any available rom on both the variants.
The tuning is not necessary, i am running CM13.0 without it and its awesome !!
I need a rom stock that works on Zenfone Laser 2 1GB, or an Android rom 6 that I can use.
I think no have Stock firmware compatible with this model, his system partitions have a different size of model with 2GB Ram. Why ? i don't know...
But, if you want, you can recovery you device easily, see my thread and try:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-2-laser/help/unbrick-ze550kl-1gb-ram-8gb-internal-t3609121
But the performance will not be the same, because all firmwares here are for 2GB Ram, we need a firmware optimized for 1GB RAM :/
Hi every one
I am on stock MM, and noticed that the android OS is using 5.11 GB out of my poor 16 GB storage.
Is there a custom ROM that use less amount of storage?
Can you guys post you're ROM and the amount of storage it's using?
Thanks!
This is memory reserved by the system, and not actually used by it. It doesn't depend on rom size. You'd have to resize your partitions to do anything about it.
