Am I blind? I can't seem to locate a panorama setting in the stock camera? I noticed no photosphere either. Not a game changer but a little annoying to say the least.
On at&t version its located under the mode button. Then its called VR panorama.

On the Verizon version the Panorama is under the center option botton at the top, and you change the shot type from Normal to Panorama or VR Panorama, which seems cool but I haven't really gotten the chance to check it out.

Verizon SGT built-in camera has no zoom features. Please confirm. Others camera apps from market zoom freeze the camera application. Any help will be appreciated.

Silly question, but did you try the volume rocker?
I knew about the volume rocker. It doesn't work. I have both Droid 1 & Droid X. It looks like mine is defected. Thanks for your confirmation.

Called Verizon, confirmed the camera zoom feature is not available. Too bad.

It's not just Verizon, it's the entire Tab range that does not have a zoom function for the camera.
There is however a workaround which involves using a third-party camera app named Vignette.
Vignette uses a live action crop tool which is basically the same as the digital zoom you find on any phone camera.
What is so great though about Vignette is it is far, far better in use than the stock camera App on the Tab.
Vignette has so many additional settings and effects for you to use, it's quite unbelievable. Not only that, I did a series of tests between Vignette & the stock camera and found on all accounts Vignette produced much sharper photos with more natural colours. What was also amazing was the crop tool (which is presented as a sliding zoom level) actually produces good results at various levels of zoom.
Go on, give vignette a try, I am sure you will be amazed and quite happy with it. It's become my Camera App of choice now.
Thanks for the info. I will try this out.

Just search it in Play Store, you wont be dissapointed, ever since i installed it, I use it as my default Photos App, and the amount of effects is amazing, as well as scenes were you can take a picture and pretend your inside a painting and more.

I used it and absolutely loved the design. But, being a lazy teenager, i would have continued using it if it had got physical buttons mapping. Have changed to stock cm camera and picsart/pixlomatic since.

Its a nexus camera feature. But there you can install the s4 google edition camera which has the fully functional 360 (photosphere) feature. Have search for the app,its on the themes and apps forum section somewhere.

thank you, I know all this.
what I meant (and the OP), is that Samsung presented a device with a camera mode called 360, that is not present on any existing ROM...
as a P.S. - I am not a real fan of Google Camera, I find it quite limited sometimes....

sorry, stupid me... I forgot a circle has 360 degrees.
still, it is not 'that' panorama, but this one: http://cdn.gsmarena.com/vv/reviewsimg/samsung-i9505-galaxy-s4/shots/thumb/gsmarena_040.jpg
(look at the one called 360)
like mentioned before, it is the same as photosphere...

Had a look on google and could only find this related post with someone enquiring about the feature. It looks like it may have been initially included but removed. Possibly because Google wanted to keep it as a 'nexus' only exclusive feature??

I've had the vzw G2 since launch day but I barely noticed, is the camera app is different than all the other versions? From what I've seen in videos is that the camera app for other variants have that 'mode' where it gives u tiles with pictures of what the mode is to where the vzw camera app only gives the name with no preview. Is it just me or everyone else? Can we get the app that everyone else has on ours?

Rename your original pal and index as a back up, flash or manually install.
The UI is different but that's about it. I don't see any extra features except some filters that could be done in post processing.
