Is my Spica bricked ??? pls help me out :(

Hi community, this is the first time i start a thread here over XDA Dev coz i'm really in trouble, i tried to change bootlogo for my spica through recovery (rooted and using spicagendmod beta 2) but the phone turned off, since then, never turn on, if i plug the usb charger in, it will charge till 100% but nothing more! lost even recovery/download modes. when i try to turn it normally it's just like "dead". i think i bricked it right ???? here in algeria where i live, there's no samsung representation.... i'm lost.. dunno what to do..... i fuc*ked up things this time i guess ...!!!
try to re-flash ure baseband ... that's work !
Follow this tutorial :
Keep spica_jc3.ops in Select OPS field.
Click Reset Files to clear the fields.
In Select Images to download panel, Select I570EXXJA1_CLI32638_Bootloader.tar into BOOT field,I570XXJB4_Phone.tar into PHONE field, I570EOLBJB3-CSC-CL167487-OLB.tar into CSA field, and let the PDAfield empty.
In Debug Option panel, tick Debug Only and PDA Format option. Don’t tick One Package option in Option Panel.
Click Start and watch the progress bar and timer, wait untill PASS message appear on Message box.
Disconect the phone from PC, remove and insert the battery, start the phone in download mode again then continue to Flash III.
then:
Keep spica_jc3.ops in Select OPS field.
Click Reset Files to clean the fields.
In Select Images to download panel, Select I570EXXJCE.tar into PDA field.
If you get an error dialog, rename the I570EXXJCE.tar into I570EXXJCE_PDA.tar and insert into PDA field again.
Don’t select One Package option and Debug Option.
Click Start and watch the progress bar and timer, wait untill PASS message appear on Message box.
The phone will restart and you will get the Eclair screen .
You can DL that files from samfirmware.com
thank's dude for your reply but... i can't even go on download mode.... the phone is just chargin while off or "dead" when i try to turn it on, whatever is on recovery, download or just a normal boot, everything remains off and the screen black, the phone is nolonger detectable by my laptop, tried in XP, vista and Win7! ithink this time... it's GAME OVER!
I seem to remember the bootlogo being the only way of bricking the Spica ... :-(
Maybe try over at samdroid.net? That's where the Spica community hangs out, mostly.
If you flashed too big bootlogo (biggest tested was 182 kB) there is no way to recover the phone by yourself yet- we are waiting to test a possible solution but samdroid member with the same problem is offline for some time (work related)
thank's mate, YES i flashed a big bootlogo(192ko) and what you said is the same as what i read on a forum, i forget where exactly. hope this member will be online soon cheers
One way. In the service center.

My Gio has the same problem now.
It can only go into download/dload/ramdump mode and can't startup normally nor recovery.
I tried to use odin with "pda format" checked but the odin always crash.
I tried many versions of odin4.xx, all crashed.
Could anyone tell me which version will run without crash?
Thanks,
William

not registered on the network
Device Galaxy Note 3 9005
After downloading the new BTU-N9005XXUBMJ3
I experienced the same error when I sold my Note 2, the buyer got the same error. I had been customizing the Note 2, rooting, flashing custom kernels and so. The root cause was that somehow the efs partition became corrupt and the phone had an invalid IMEI. I was lucky that I made and efs backup after rooting, so I could restore my efs backup and the phone could connect to the network again. I was very happy I made that backup, else the buyer wanted his money back of course! Maybe you can do a search in the Note 3 forum of XDA (Original Android Development), it has an efs backup/restore tool. Hope this solves your problem, good luck!
Hi, before I got my Note 3 I had the Galaxy S4 for 1 week. I got the error everytime I restarted the phone. What I had to do was go into the settings and search for networks and then hit automatic and that made it register again.
Haven't seen it on my Note 3 so far though.

All thanks to you ....When you switch from the network to the GSM phone works without problems and when you return to a wealthy network 4 Lite gives non-registration
Solved with NV Rebuild
Dear All
I got the same problem of no network on my Note 3 SM-G9008V and I have solved by NV Rebuild. Here we go....
1. Open phone dialer, key-in this codes in sequence:
- *#0011#, will open ServiceMode screen,
- then left key, tap on Back,
- left key, tap Key Input, type Q then OK,
- left key, tap Key Input, type 0000 then OK,
- left key, tap Key Input, type 0000 then OK, wait some times to get the Main Menu of ServiceMode
2. Tap on Menu [2] to open UE SETTING&INFO MENU, then tap [1] SETTING
3. On UE SETTING MENU, tap [2] SYSTEM
4. On UE SETTING SYSTEM MENU #1, tap [3] NV REBUILD
5. On NV REBUILD MENU, tap [3] ALL, then reboot your phone by POWER SWITCH and select Restart, confirm with OK
After phone rebooted, I got back normal network
I think this will work for other type, please test and feedback....
WARNING: Please do not play with any menu on Service Mode if you don't understand what you do. You are on YOUR OWN RISK to do so.....

what network vendor are u on ??? do u have a 3g data card ???
in your dialer dial *#*#4636#*#* , tap "Phone information" and scroll down to where it says "Set Preferred network type:" and select "GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)".
Then go into Settings, Mobile Networks, Access Point Names, and make sure you've selected the correct one for your provider.

[Q] Damaged EFS, no backup - how to repair S5 with NULL IMEI?

Hi,
I have a problem with my S5. After flashing a custom ROM I found out that my IMEI is null, and so the EFS is corrupted. I tried to restore it from backup only to find out that I have deleted the backup
What can I do now? I anything? Would restoring EFS from another S5 (with damaged mainboard) could be a solution?
Generally everything works except of phone modem, I have got IMEI written - is there maybe a method to set the IMEI without EFS or a method to create EFS? I already tried sam IMEI changers, but I found out that they only do this on the application level - apps will be able to read different IMEI for licensing, but phone still sees NULL IMEI.
You can't restore EFS from another S5 coz it'll brick your device.

Thanks for answer
So what can I do?
Found sth like this:
Never tried coz never lost IMEI
In the dialer, type- *#197328640# or *#*#197328640#*#*
>You will be prompted into the Command mode, provided On the screen, Select on Common, normally option 6
> Now Select (FTM) Option 1
>FTM is for debugging and testing., (Field Test Mode)
>If (FTM) is on, you will have to turn this OFF
>As soon as you turned this off your NULL or altered IMEI number will be restored
>(Important) Without leaving the Command screen, press the Menu key, the button that’s found left of the Home button.
> Select Key input and enter option 2. In this case, you want to turn it off
>Wait for a minute. This will turn your FTM OFF
> Remove your battery and SIM card for two minutes
>Place your battery in your phone, (important) do not place your SIM card in.
> When the phone is booted, enter the command mode again dial – *#197328640#
>Select the Debug Screen, normally option 1
>After that, choice phone control, option eight
>Click on nas control, option 3
>Afterwards, click “RRC (HSDPA), option 5
>To Fix not registered on network or Null IMEI #, click RRC revision, option 2.
>Choose the released of your phone, here we will choose option 5 (HSDPA only)
>Final step to fix Null IMEI not registered on a network for Samsung Galaxy is to turn off your phone and insert your Sim card
or
>Insert your Sim card, afterwards reboot your phone
Thanks - are you sure about this bricking device?
I already tried this numbers but it always says "No Network", The only instruction that I found was to use *#0011# and it goes into the Service Menu, but it doesn't look like that described. There is something called NVM restore, but it doesn't do anything with IMEI
I am gonnna post screenshots at evening.

Yes I'm sure about bricking. EFS partition on your phone is made for ONLY YOUR PHONE. This is sth like restoring TA Partition on xperia devices. When you flash ta from another xperia, you brick device
Tapatalked from SM-G900F
I read someone saying they had successfully restored a backed up EFS partition from an identical model S5 to another, and it worked
The problem I can see, is if the original gets blocked by the carrier, chances are so will the clone
Not sure about network issues having two identical devices on the same network at the same time, both making calls, might end up like an IP conflict
Pretty sure that transferring IMEI from one device to another is against the law too......
Sent from my rooted, debloated stocKK kn0x0 SM-G900F
Yes, I also know that is it against the law, but I have a complete phone with broker mainboard (so even the IMEI is written on the back), and I would like to use this opportunity to copy the IMEI from old (broken) mainboard to the new one. It even looks better than the situation when I have got and old case with written IMEI that doesn't correspond to the IMEI on the new mainboard.
The mainboard is broken that way, that there is short-circuit somewhere and the CPU is constantly using power and it get's really hot, so it use useless.
I am trying to flash EFS, let's see what is gonna to happen

1. Tried flashing EFS = nothing happened
2. Tried flashing EFS + Modem + ModemST1 + ModemST2 = nothing happened
3. Restored android to STOCK
I can't get into the service menu.
The only Service menu that I can get into is this one, but there isn't any fixing IMEI/NVRAM option
Code:
*#0011#
Menu > Back
Menu > keyInput "Q"
Menu > keyInput "0000"
Wait for few seconds

Hi,
you have 2 options
1. Use Samsung Kies which will repair you efs
2. Flash with Odin the official rom 5.0
If you install another efs, the data installed may be not work, even if it is same model. In S5, nothing to do with the IMEI
You can also root the phone and with adb commands, erase all the efs
you can also use Z3X tools
Hi,
Thanks - some new ideas
So if I understand you correctly, I have 3 options:
1. Use Samsung Kies which will repair you efs - how to repair EFS with Samsung Kies?
2. Flash with Odin the official rom 5.0 -> I tried flashing oryginal 4.4 and it didn't helped. Should flashing 5.0 help?
3. You can also root the phone and with adb commands, erase all the efs - What will erasing EFS will give me? Shouldn't I have EFS partition with some data?
you can also use Z3X tools -> ok... I am gonna figure this out, 'cause I don't know it yet

Any help here?
odd question but... where did you get the phone? can you root it? unlock the boot-loader? it is locked to whatever that company it via their MDM policy.
https://www.linkedin.com/company/groupama-protection-juridique/
if you can unlock the bootloader i assume you could restore via fastboot and that would unlock it. then again, it may brick you phone.
or thy this
On the managed mobile device, go to Settings.
Navigate to Security.
Select Device Administrator and disable it.
Under Settings, go to Applications.
Select ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus and Uninstall the ME MDM App.
