Separate Ringer & Notification volume solution [JB 4.3 Stock Rom] - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'd like to share an app that could separate the Ringer & Notification volume on Nexus 4 JB stock rom.
I tried some paid apps (SVC+ , Smart Sound Profile & Audio Manager) but it didn't work.
Now I am using Sound Profile (by Corcanoe) it works really well and it's free!
Seach it on google play store
I hope this could help
Please share if there are any better apps

Volume +

Does anybody know if volume + works phonewide or just the stock music app? And if it does work phonewide how do I get pandora to heed my adjustments. I don't hear any change when I play around with it
I believe root is needed for full functionality. I'm using on stock and seems to help.

After enabling volume + did you go to android settings > sound > music effects and enable volume + there?
Works fine on my GSIII

Volume plus has its own app, you turn it up from there.
It works great for the external speaker/ringer volume!

Volume skip track feature

Is there any way to add that feature to a stock ROM that is deodex ? If so can someone show me, I really like that feature

You can use Tactile player from the play store..... It hinders the phones ability to increase or reduce volume when it is activated but it does skip tracks effectively...
You can always disable to widget to get access to fully functional volume controls..

[Q] With light flow enabled phone talk

Hello everyone, I have activated the accessibility light flow only now luancher or in part in the gallery the voice that tells me what I'm doing and obviously do not want it, I solved by checking on off sounds in Accesibility only so that also s-voice no longer speaks and what I was comfortable then there is a way that you do not speak when he pleases but the voice features to work?
Thanks for the help
Install light manager from the playstore. It has the same function al light flow but it doesnt need to be enabled jn the accessibility settings.

The problem is I bought the light flow and everything set up so I did not take it off
I'm sorry to hear that. But it is a known issue with the Accessibility settings. Maybe this will be fixed in an official update.

So for now there is no solution
Yes there is a solution! Install some 3rd party TTS engine from playstore (e.g.: Classic TTS) and set it as default and that's it No more TalkBack
Just tried your suggestion but this fixes not all problems. If you view a picture in the gallery in the landscape mode the blue bar on the top will not disappear. So for now there isnt a 100% solution

I think I had the same problem but after some time it just vanished

The new version of light manager (paid) has a root option the has a Samsung root option in it that does not require activating the accessibility option. It worked for me.

Yes this works. But the question was if the galaxy s4 can handle Light Flow. I'm also using light manager and it works great
--Solution--
Guys I've got good news.
After flashing the new official MEA firmware the problem gets fixed !
Now you can use LightFlow :good:

[Suggestion] auto hide/swipe up; soft-key

Hi
I know that thr s some apps in play.store with root access and without root access that help to hide soft-keys
But if these apps be inside launchers like apex or nova and etc it will be more useful
Auto hide for soft key
Create on screen shortcut for back button somewhr else
Or best solution (in my opinion) is to set swipe/gesture mode for hidding soft keys like some menu inside ubuntu touch
But i love to see it official from android

Is there any way to make notification sounds louder on stock ROM?

Hi I've only had my nexus 4 for a few days and I love it. The only problem I have is that I struggle to hear SMS messages. The phone is very loud for calls but not for messages. Is there an app or setting that I can change to fix this? I'm on stock ROM atm.
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to be rooted to increase volume levels with a mod bro. You might look here if this helps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.liquidsoft.entertainment.volume.booster&hl=nl.
Another non root way is to download louder notification sounds and have a file manager app. To change sound go to sound in settings and use the file manger app just once in the pop up and find the notification sound you downloaded in the download folder of your SD partition.
Hi guys thanks for the replies. I've found an app that let's you browse tones and then set them from within the app. For anyone interested its called ZEDGE and is available on the play store.
