RAMDUMP - Tool - Ram Dump eXtractor - Galaxy S III General

Sorry I can not test self... or only as info.
Because I have no working Android handset yet...
But maybe interesting for someone else, because this is also on Tizen and hundred other Samsungdevices working...
Only Codes or Commands different...
For S3 I am pretty sure this could work.
Code:
Code:
[B]*#9090#[/B]
Menu is like on Screenshot.
I don't know if S3 work with Version 4.45 ...
Or 5.3 is latest I have found...
Tizen RD-PQ (I9300A ""clone"") shows something like this:
Code:
Dump mode is dump_panic-RSTST:0x20000000
RAM will be save on UMS or uploaded to HOST
[LOG EXTRACT]
error:invalid getlog magic
Dump end with ERROR
[B]Ram Dump eXtractor v5.4[/B]
Please, maybe someone can confirm or post result of tests with Version 5.3.
Tools are here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39658811&postcount=23
4.45 is maybe too old for S3...
But higher chance with 5.3
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39848716&postcount=27
You can choose between Android and Linux and SHP...
At YOUR own risk, because untested by me with S3.
Best Regards

Little progress...
My first Android handset... I9000...
Sorry, I9300 is tooooo expensive for me.
My result for now:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47597572&postcount=40
Nand Dump is not available for I9000, also it looks different I know from SHP...
Maybe if I9300 is cheap enough, I can test self...
Best Regards

For RD-PQ this worked:
Code:
reboot upload
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64220111&postcount=42
Later will try with GT-I9300...
Best Regards

Please.
I am searching for newer Versions of RDX.
This is what I have as latest...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74471828&postcount=46
Code:
RDX_5.8_SLP.exe
RDX_6.0_LSI_Intel.exe
Need Version with WiFi support... for Gear S2/S3...
Thanx in advance.
Best Regards

[Q] How to install new android on A1000L-F

Hi!
Can someone guide me little with rootting and installing new android on IdeaPad A1000L-F?
I've found a lot of guides, but none of those are for this wlan model only, I think? I would be so happy, if someone could tell me how and what can I do with this. Current android (4.1) is so outdated, that I cant stand this. And latest games don't even install on this version.
Thanks!
Edit: Got my tab rooted with one click root, but what now?
any help yet? i have same tablet and same question:silly:
Nothing yet, sorry. We'll see, maybe someone gives us a little advice soon. Hope so!
First, you'd have to port a recovery (cwm or twrp) to your device and fastboot flash it.
You'll have to use a repo for aosp, cm, miui, or other and make a rom.
The a1000l source code is available here: http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/a1000_tablet?tabname=downloads
You will need that in your venture.
Unfortunately, this is just not a popular tablet. I bought one for my daughter and rooted it, but that's about as far as I will go with it.
Good luck!
It looks like recovery is already available for T, F, models. I'm not certain if this will translate over to G, L models or not:

Version of the A1000-F can earn. Use at your own risk, no one has tested it.

The only "custom" ROM I have found is just a modified version of stock. This means no version upgrade:
I am unable to get flashtool working from those threads and fastboot is not detecting the device in Windows or Linux. I was hoping to "fastboot boot recovery.img" in order to do some testing, but no luck right now. I'll mess around some other time...
I've got working CWM on my A1000L-F thanks to the links in this thread:

Lenovo has only released broken source so compiling 4.2+ will be too much of a hassle for an $80 tab that my daughter uses...

First I built from 1.1B02 to 1.3 and modified boot image according to this method [1] and made these modifications [2].
Next, built from 1.3 to 1.4 and used your boot img.
I've just tested 1.4 a little for now, and my zte open never hangs on 1.3.

This image works great. At least as far as I have tested. Much snappier than 1.1, 1.2.
Could I ask (beg) you to compile a japanese version?
I'm giving a talk in Japan on JavaScript in about a month and I was hoping to show off this device.
I'd really appreciate it if you could do this for me.

Could you point me in the right direction?
My own builds of b2g have been less than successful. The closest I've gotten was to get a unstable versions installed.
you may want to have a look at neuralassembly . blogspot . com (can't post links....) its in japanese and he explains how to build a japanese enabled version for Samsung Galaxy S3, you'll have to adapt that but i guess at least you will be able to read it without google translate
hope this is helpful to you.

Thanks, I can and have compiled for this device. The tricky parts are finding a version that is stable enough to use. And getting all of the right proprietary drivers. And there may be some other unknown(s) that I'm messing up. The version you've posted tells me the git version so that's 1 of the 2 major foreseeable obstacles.
Call me a conspiracy nut, but what's the big deal with closed source drivers on cell phones? So what if the public finds out how to write to a screen or send communication over the radio. Technically we can already write to small lcd screens with adrino parts and communicate over the air with shortwave. And yet every single phone out there is closed, even the Maemo was partially closed. I don't see any legitimate reason for this other than some giant conspiracy by large corporations. Either the ma bells don't want us using the air-waves for free or the governments of the world don't want us not being tracked. And I suppose it's a lot of both.
well, it was just an example on how to get japanese working on the device, not really a cookbook.
for the building i guess you should follow the instructions on Mozilla developer network.
they have a page dedicated to the ZTE Open.
mine will arrive maybe next week, so i cant really build yet, since the phone has to be connected for the build to proceed.
and i am fine with it being in english, even though my native language is german, but i always change the language to english (must be an IT thing with me)

There are some official ZTE versions out there with fastboot disabled. B06 is safe. But be careful to read about other user experiences before you upgrade.

As far as I am aware when ZTE first released the 1.1 Firefox OS update through their website it was released without fastboot enabled. This however was a mistake, so they took those files down and re-uploaded newly compiled versions of the same Firefox OS 1.1 but with fastboot enabled. :good:
thanks for the warnings, i have read about that and i think it is even stated on the MDN.
i think because of this there is also a lot of misunderstandings, as i do not think you need a hacked boot.img if your phone has fastboot enabled already.
well i guess i will find out when it arrives, as i want to upgrade at least to 1.3
this wont be my daily use device, i just want to see where FXOS stands and is developing to.
if i like it i guess i would go for a more mid-level device (like a Alcatel Fire E/S or the new not yet announced higher spec ZTE)
my only gripe here is that sony doesnt seem to move on and release their FXOS phone, and the support with Alcatel was a bit patchy so far from what you read.
it would be nice if all of the FXOS phones had the possibility to be used as Dev-devices.

Thanks for this release. Is all the device working ? I mean GPS, WiFi etc...
I'm new to Firefox OS, and I would like to install the latest fully functional release
Anyway thanks for your great work !

I am not the creator/uploader of this post but I have installed it multiple times and know a little bit about this kind of thing It is a pre-release version so it is far from being complete or "stable"... I would not suggest using this build for daily use as there is no guarentee everything will work correctly even if it does for someone else, but for testing and/or restoring a bricked (broken phone) it is perfect.

For Mediatek Devices it is pretty easy because if you manage to build a ROM for a device that has its software made by the same company who did the same software for another device (i hope this sentence is clear), then you can build a ROM for both devices with just some minor changes.

I'll just reply here for the last time, it is OT, but still useful for development
When there is no kernel source code, i use the prebuilt kernel image (included with the Stock ROM), while everything else gets compiled (excluding proprietary files required to handle the hardware).

It is only the Stock ROM provided by DOOGEE directly, not something I made. You have to ask DOOGEE if you want other variants, then provide me the link.

How did you flash it with SP Flash Tools?
When i connect and try it says BROM ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL(0xC0060003)
What does it mean.
I installed drivers for MT67xx and latest SP Flash Tool
I have my phone turned off and when i connect (after clicking download in SP Flash Tool) it says the error.

Mainline N8000 Progress

Dear fellow developers and users of this great device,
I'm working on mainline support for the p4note device family, I started with the N8010 but this is usable on all the other N80XX devices as well as they are technically all the same aside from the modem.
The current status is that an initial device tree will land in 5.11 with some components still missing but its a good start. I'm working on the rest and also I'm working on Android 11 on top of that.
This post will not be updated any longer, you can find my mainline progress here.
There is also a blog which I'll probably woefully neglect as I'm way too busy with everything in life.
Cheers
An update for my mainline progress, there is kernel logs on the display now! I'm currently working on the touch screen config.
Oh Nice to see.
But i think not many people read the General forum anymore ^^
You might want to mention this in the Dev thread.
Do you have a git repository anywhere? I found a Note 10 8000 hidden in a box and wanted to get a working small working terminal up on the wall at my 3D-Printer/Soldering-workstation, I would be happy to be tinkering around som with the code.
Nevermind, found it.

Hey, great to hear that you want to tinker with it. Remember that I currently work on rev 6 of the hardware, the version info can be found in the atags of the kernel log. You may run into issues with other revisions but it should be fine.
For the wifi settings, you need the correct nvram file. I'm not yet sure whether you can determine it by the version of the hardware, the current way is a macloader in the current hardware repo.
I extracted the touchscreen firmware from the sources and put them in my buildroot repo. The driver will look for a file called maxtouch.fw on boot.
I hope this helps.
Thank you very much for the pointers, I haven't t really been into kernel development since Samsung Galaxy S2 (9100), but getting a proper Linux installation on this device would fit me perfectly so I would happily try things on my side, keep us posted.

[SM-T510] (2019) Search for Nethunter/ Kali Linux rom and guide

Hello guys,
this is my first post. Since today I´m a proud owner of a Galaxy Tab A (SM-T510 with 64 GB ROM and 3GB RAM, newest stock android build T510XXU2ASK5, never connected to internet yet).
I want to install Nethunter OS or Kali Linux (if possible) on this and read many hours in the internet but there are some questions:
Has anyone flashed the SM-T510 with Nethunter OS? (if this isn´t possible, a way to just use the kali apps is fine too but not my first choice)
Is it possible to flash directly to the ROM instead to a SD Card?
Which type of processor has the tablet? I think it is amd64 not arm, right? Maybe I could try to flash a Nethunter Image for Galaxy Tab S4 but I´m sure this doesn´t work cause the processor is not exact the same... (https://www.offensive-security.com/kali-linux-nethunter-download/)
I found this thread about Kali Linux installation but I would find a direct installation better https://forum.xda-developers.com/hardware-hacking/hardware/devices-kali-linux-installation-t3414523 (If I can´t install directly, can I use this guide for my device after I rooted it?)
A few years ago I flashed Android on a SD-Card for my HTC Kaiser 130 (still working fine), so I have a little experience about flashing and so on but flashing this tablet looks a little bit more difficult to me, so I want as much information as possible cause I have only one try (in the baddest scenario)
I hope you can help me.
Thanks for reading! (I´m from germany, so I´m sorry for my bad english)
Edit: I have found UserLAnd and will try it now, if someone has a better suggestion, feel free to post it
Where'd you get the idea that this was an AMD64 tablet? All Samsung Galaxy Tab As are ARM, The T510 has an Exynos 7904 or 7885 SoC. And I've never heard of anyone porting a Linux distro to one.

Thanks for your answer lewmur, I just read it is a 64bit proc and thought it is amd64, my last tablet is some years old and I just thinked the technical development is quicker... ^^
Hmm... sounds like bad news, I just googled yesterday and it is a Exynos 7904, yes you´re right. That means it is closed source, damn.
In this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-m30/help/hope-custom-rom-development-m30-exynos-t3910256) I found someone who maybe has kernel source, I will write him. Maybe where is a way to build a Nethunter image by myself. I have tested UserLAnd on the tab and I don´t really like it, it´s not smooth.
On monday I will go to the shop where I buyed the tab and try to give it back, maybe they have goodwill, then I will buy online a nexus tablet, looks much more easier.
Thank you anyway, maybe someone has some more good tipps for me.
I have downloaded this
nethunter-2021.3-generic-armhf-kalifs-full.zip
and flashed it with TWRP on my Rooted Device and it works on SM-T510 Android 11 StockROM
