Have you gotten the camera dpi to work at native DPI(assuming you changed default)? I'm having issues doing so :-/

Any other great Xposed Framework things to try out? I just got it now, and I'd love to know what to try, in your opinion.

Did it have any affect on your battery? I installed the framework and app settings module, and battery life went in the toilet. Uninstalled them, battery went back to normal.

I've had it installed pretty much since I got the phone so I'm not sure but I have heard there is additional overhead caused by it BT no ides really how much if at all. It's worth it for me to have a lower LCD density and working camera app.

Did you try setting DPI of camera app back to 480?
Now that we have a good recovery and can make backups has anybody tried xposed modules? If so what is working?

I may be missing it, but does anybody see an option that won't wake the screen when a new message comes in?

Dang, seriously? I guess I'm so used to rooted phones that I didn't realize that wasn't just a general setting. We need root bad.

For SMS/MMS, I installed Textra and turned off the native messaging app. Textra allows you to not wake up the screen in settings. Not exactly a fix, but I'm liking the app so far.

Have you flashed any KitKat ROM? GEL alone can't clone KitKat features.

Yes, I'm on 4.4 stock. And I get the translucent bars on the home screen but not on the lock screen.
But as far as i can tell this is normal and you can't do anything about it aside from replacing the framework.
So this would be the only thing different software wise ,as I said in the opening post?

I did that's why I am asking ... In case you didn't bother to read SOFTWARE. I don't care about screen size, resolution, CPU and what not

Yes your missing o, e, i, n and g. There must be a problem with your spellchecker. Try SwiftKey. Its much better than stock.

And you're missing an apostrophe and an "e" people in glass houses...
But to answer the OP's question, we're missing HDR+, low power music playback, and... yeah I'm struggling to think of any other software differences. Even the 2 differences I mentioned are hardware dependant. And to think I was considering "upgrading".
You can get the transparent lockscreen bars here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527525

hardware difference = software difference....multiple features are exclusive, therefore there's a difference

ah right, yeah i tried that dont see much of a difference, would the camera MOD help?
It would depend on which Mod. I always suggest making a Nanroid and then try flashing several Camera mods till you find on what works to your liking.

The camera is rather annoying on this device.
Camera MODs will improve the camera; It focuses faster, removes the "lag" in the viewfinder and massively improves the AI mode. Unfortunately, the "painted" effect is still there when you zoom in but it does make a noticeable difference.
Shame, because the camera is the only thing letting this device down.
Here's the mod that I applied - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548974
I couldn't get any of the files to work but the dev recently posted this test version which worked for me - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48688463&postcount=703
Apperantly reading mode only works on play books…
I applied it to xda, instagram and even the stock browser… but it is still not working!
Is there an xposed model or something to optimize it for all apps?? ?

Silly question, did you actually turn it on? Because I've had people miss that toggle. Just asking. Since it should work with stock browser.
As for Xposed, not to my knowledge.
But as far as I know, all reading mode does is change the screen hue to a less white colour. You can use LUX for that, too.

That's the only thing I'd like to change also. I saw a thread here and it looks like it's pretty simple change. That thread provides flashable zips. But with the stock recovery I don't think I can use them. More research required.

APKTool is not yet updated for Android N. So no decompiling and altering framework files.
