Is the unlocked version available either in an online store or a brick & mortar? The only listing I could find was Negri.

Hey guys,
Saw a very good deal on ebay india, the seller is selling an unlocked version Note - 3 T-mobile (US), so it can work on Indian GSM carriers.
Now, if you see the description: it mentions:
"The OS Software is Unlocked to Work with all GSM SIMS.
You are not supposed to Update the OS Software as Unlock code is applied to it"
2 quick questions:
1) Can you help me understand what does the seller mean here? The device will obviously be running on JB, so i wont be able to update it to the officially released Kitkat? Will manually flashing a firmware from say Sammobile, revert the unlock code and make the device useless?
2) Buying a US phone for Indian use.. Will i miss out on any features? or will it be a problem in any way??
Please help me out guys
I'm looking for some help upgrading my Android version on my Note 3. The problem is that my phone was previously locked to ATT and is from the US, however I purchased it on eBay about 18 months ago and use it in the UK on Virgin. The device has been unlocked and I think it's rooted - it was unlocked with a code provided by the eBay seller and should work with any network - it's at least working with Virgin instead of ATT. The phone has an ATT mark on the back.
I've been putting this off for a while now because my knowledge of messing about with Android is very limited and I'm concerned that if I upgrade to a newer version of Android (currently 4.3), that my phone may lock back to ATT and I may be unable to use it.
To summarise, I would like to upgrade to the latest version of Android with TouchWiz, without region locking creating problems. Can anyone help?

Hi, I am based in the uk and recently purchased a us import h872 t mobile g6. I have been using it fine but the device has become blocked so I cant use it. If I was to flash a custom rom would I then be able to use it on another network over here in the uk? Hopefully somebody knows if this is possible, thanks in advance
Only international version has root. US models are dead for root. Best bet is to call T-Mobile and provide proof of purchase and see if they will unlock it for you.
IMIE blocked? Have you checked via https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx? Or FRP locked?
should i buy this japan version that supposedly has tmobile OS on it already? The Docomo phone has 32gb which I want. my current phone is only 16gb and is always running out of space....the seller also said that IMEI: Not available in T-Mobile System...is that a problem? ive tried to find a 900t model with 32gb with no luck... or should i just upgrade to the S7? im new at all this so bear with me please..
Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question! Sadly I am nowhere near as knowledgeable on this as you guys, hence the question!
I currently have a UK bought Note 9, but I was looking to sell it for ~£400 and then get a s10+.
The one of the samsung website is £899 which is too much for me to justify an upgrade, but on the grey market with sites like this eglobalcentral
They cost around £659, much better.
I would also prefer the snapdragon version to the exynos version which we get here in the UK. Would I be able to purchase this one from the site, the G9750, and flash it with the bootloader of a UK version, such as the SM-G975FZKDBTU (SM-G975f)? Does one know how I could do this? I have realised some US versions you cannot unlock the bootloader, does anyone have more details on this? I can't find anything anywhere. Thanks in advance!
My priority of course would be not to trip Knox or void the warranty etc.
I use the SM-G9730 in Canada with TGY (hong kong) build. It's fine, not sure why you would prefer to change the bootloader.
Once you swap the system language to english, its all good.
Plus the bootloader itself is all in english.
The biggest thing is to make sure all of your bands match up.
A locked bootloader prevents you from installing anything other than the official flavor roms and kernel. So if you wish to install custom Roms like LineageOS or the like a some point you must have an unlocked bootloader or be able to unlock it.
That said you would not be able to install the firmware for the UK model specifically because they use different chipsets (Snapdragon vs Exynos). But rom itself should be basically the same and not need changed you would just need to install the specific apps you are missing. Usually those apps can be found in the play store.
