that is not a data plan, a data plan is when your carrier allow you to enter the Internet for a monthly basis or by having credit on your prepaid account.
Also make sure reverse Tethering is working properly by having the Correct drivers for your phone and setup the sharing options on the Internet setting on your PC.

if you have a working data plan then you should have no problem in connecting but i think that there some problem with tour carrier

Change dns setting of mobile network of an unrooted device

Hi!
I have some of the sites restricted with default dns setting on mobile network. I set Google dns on my adsl modem at home so I don't have any problem when I am using wifi at home. I would like to change my mobile network too.
I was changing easily on my HTC Himalaya on windows mobile 6 years ago:-(

You can change it in advanced settings in wifi config. This is a global setting though so effects all networks.
If you want network specific dns, dl "wifi static" from the market.
Edit: ok ignore me. On 3g networks I'm not sure

MMS and Aurora

Hello there,
I have the latest Aurora ICS version, but when I enable mobile data and try to download MMS, nothing happens, I simply can't transfer them.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks a lot, it would really help.
Do you have the mms profile properly configured according to your network provider(APN)? And did you make sure your data is really enabled in the settings->mobile networks?

Just google "APN MMS yourprovider". Take an example and fill it in. Report back if it works

yep exactly after that you just need to go to settings->mobile network-> access points names and create a new option with the settings that you obtained from the web. or you could just call your service provider and ask for the mms apn or profile

Come on people help me out pls
Bro I gaved you a link where clearly explains step by step, he uses offline sim apn database app but theres other apps
""Download an APN app that will write APN settings onto your phone (I used an app called Offline SIM APN Database), if you want data services while abroad you're going to have to root your phone thanks to JellyBean (here is a fast way of rooting the phone*How to root the Samsung Galaxy S4 | Android | Geek.com)
2a. If you applied Root to your phone move your APN app into the system folder. ( I purchased Titanium Backup Pro to do this).
3. Backup your APN settings (This might not be necessary since Sprint Technical support told me that this data is locked into the Sprint Sim, but I am an IT guy so always back up)
4. Take your trip abroad
5. Pop in 3rd party Sim
6. Follow directions from Sprint International Support (Turn off device > Insert 3rd party SIM > go to Settings > More (tab) > System Update > UICC unlock.* You will receive the update and it should change to GSM Mode.)
7. To enable MMS/Data write 3rd party carrier APN settings to your phone using your APN app.

Ok bruv I'm based in the uk have a uk contract with ee a 4g provider I got the s4 from my relative I unlocked it via this site and also rooted it via this site I cannot get data I get signal fine but no data can you give me the correct step by step details in which I can set my phone to get this data connection sorted I can call you up if you like if it makes if easier cheers .
You won't get 4G data in the UK. They use a different frequency then Sprint S4 is capable of. The best you will do is get 3g. He gave you the instructions and you don't seem to be able to follow them. Sell the phone and buy one from your carrier if you want 4g and can't follow instructions

Manually enter APN settings for Verizon lg g2

Working on porting a rom. How can I see the individual settings for manually adding the APN. I can't pull up any sub menu to show all the APN settings just the APN name. Or does anyone know what the settings are so I can manually enter them into a ported T-Mobile rom.

Disable roaming

Almost all roms, after the flash, have roaming active and before I active the WiFi it uses about 0,50€. Is possible to disable it in advance? Thanks
On stock and most roms, go to settings > network connections > mobile networks and disable data roaming.

I know this, but i would like to disable it before the flash and before the initial setup

That would depend on the rom, there is nothing you can do.
You may remove your sim before flashing and then disable roaming and then insert sim back to prevent any roaming charges.
Sorry, I read your question incorrectly the first time.
