Last I checked, Note III forum wasn't yet available on XDA.

This is probably going to get me flamed now but does this mean we 'may' see newer touchwiz roms for our phones if people can get this rom to work on ours? Or have I got the complete wrong idea about these leaks.
Please dont grill me to much

Since I won't be getting it, I'm going to stay away from there. Hope some of the new tricks and gimmicks will be ported over.
I love me some gimmicks

what kind of features? can I test it on my note2? (stupid question)

Thanks to TIP with screenshot we can conclude this.
The firmware based on Android 4.0.3 with base band version I9100BULP2 is in test fase.
Because we all know BU = Vodafone we can conclude that Samsung and Vodafone are busy with upcoming updates."

What are they testing it themselves for when they know we could test it way more!
I would think it would be like the branded version? Maybe.

[ROOT] [ICS] S-Voice Epic 4g Ported

Hey guys,
Not sure if everyone has seen the news, but one of the Galaxy SIII's signature features (not a big deal, nor something I even care about, IMHO) S Voice has been leaked.
You can install it now if you're running rooted ICS, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26300180#post26300180
I've been running it for a few hours now, been working decently. Not that I'll ever use it, but pretty cool too see.
Note: It's just a skinned vlingo as far as I can tell...
Good find, but shouldn't this be in the Apps section?

1. we have q&a section just for questions. right now we are in generals.
2. after update go to about phone and see which firmware it is then post back.
3. it's most likely an older firmware.
4. next time when asking questions like this, tell us what firmware you are running right now....
i cannot spam F5 enough before i go to sleep it's killing me

My guess is ICS. I could be wrong, but only 97mbs for JB?

Trust me, it's not jb, it will be much bigger than 97 meg.

So Sorry guys...
False alarm... (
As I've kept up with all the updates, I didn't know what this was. But I think it's an older update that was just pushed to my phone.

Cool, although this forum is för the Note 10.1 and not for the phone...
Will it be possible to pull something from this dump and use it on the tablet?

Pretty sure that's why he posted the link here hoping that a dev could port over the note 2 functions.

im pretty sure we can port over most of the functions seeing that ICS to JB is a slight incremental bump hence why updating ICS devices to JB has been alot smoother and quick than Gingerbread or Honeycomb to ICS.

Gingerbread of Nexus 4

Am i the only one interested in gingerbread (be it aosp or cm7) for this device?

Definitly YES
Why the hell do you want to have a 2.3 ROM on a device which has alot more features inclueded in 4.2 :silly:
screw it lets put cupcake on it.
I remember reading a thread where someone was claiming a galaxy nexus with gingerbread on it would be faster. what a tool:laugh:
You realize gingerbread is significantly slower than jellybean, right? Why in the world would you want such an old version of android?
