Well guys, I love how our screen looks without the navbar, from one time I love Pie but from the use I realize that when typing (Swype Keyboard) some times the pie activated....and is kind of annoying.
So I found an app to manage the phone with gesture, do you have any advice how to setup ´pie or I should go for this app?.
Cheers and thanks for any help.
I am using PIE on the top-right side of my N4, so I can use it with one hand.

As the subjects states, is there a registry edit that will move the scroll bar from the right hand side of the screen to the left? Being left handed, it is quite a pain to cover the screen with my hand when scrolling.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Bump - Anyone? Any ideas?
This is a possible deal breaker for me.
I think I just saw this feature in 8125. You could change the layout so that the scroll bar is on the left side and not right.
Check Display...
I've got two ideas - not exactly what you want, but hopefully better. One should work. One should be very very cool. But time frame is some way off - I'm working on one or two urgent things first. I apologise
But I'll be working on this once I clear my decks a little.

Thanks for your assistance. The 8125 does have a "Left Hand" mode, but only for Landscape. Since I use my 8125 90% of the time in portrait, it makes it very difficult for web browsing and scrolling email.
Thanks everyone for your help. I look forward to any ideas that you come up with (anything will be better)
General question: do you guys use your scrollbar with a stylus or thumb?
V
Thumb. Mostly because my stylus falls out if i put one in, so I just dont even bring one with me anymore.
Stylus
I ask because at some point I'm considering a third party solution to the problem, and I need to think about how big to make it graphically.
Evidently both thumb and stylus need to be considered.
V
Yeah, I gotta imagine there are alot of other Lefty's out there like myself that are running into the same issue. A 3rd party application sounds like it would be very useful.
if you gays already rooted the device ,then must use
gmd spen control
and gmd gesture control.
its not free app, but it deserve the price.
(or can find on google).
the most valueable thing is disable finger touch
use it, u'll never regret

I used to love GMD and still use it, but on the Note I'm relying more on LMT for gestures.
I have two issues with GMD:
The finger and pen versions keep track separately of the recent applications used, which causes problems if you use the Prev App/Next App functions with mixed input.
The pen version lacks the option to prevent other applications to register touch in the gestures starting zones. Combined with the lack of a navigation bar on the Note, this makes impossible to use my favorite gesture, an horizontal swipe on the bottom of the screen to switch apps.
So I'm using LMT pie controls for two reasons. I have the Home, Recent Apps, and Alt+Tab functions on the pie dial, since I don't like pressing the hardware button especially with the pen.
I'd have liked to use the Prev/Next apps functions on the pie as well, but they work unbelievably on LMT. Still the pie will prevent other apps to register touch on its starting zones, and doesn't interfere with GMD, so putting it at the bottom of the screen also allowed me to do the horizontal swipe gesture with the pen without interferences.

sorry for asking, but what about other orientations?
for custom or AOSP type rom, this is great to get SPen gesture back.
I only tried to use this feature on my S5 a couple times, but my wife would like to use this feature on her new N4. I find that starting the One-handed operation function on both the S5 and N4 using the touchscreen gesture described in the enabling setting screen rarely works. It takes a bunch of swipes before the reduced One-handed screen appears.Very annoying and defeats the purpose of the feature as you actually have to try to enable it using two hands. I didn't even try to master using this feature given that it's so hard to get it started. I thought it was an issue with my S5, but after trying it on the N4... I had the same results. Is there a shortcut to enable this feature other than that the swiping gesture? Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Im sure you dont swipe correctly, for me it work all the time, just swipe your finger from screen edge to the middle then back to the screen edge with a horizontal way! Its not a V-like swipe, its like a hohorizontal "I" swipe just try it until you get it working!
Good luck!

Yes, I'm swiping correctly, but it's not very reliable it works only 1 out of 6 or 7 times. I have a wallpaper with a straight line down the middle and I swipe over that straight line to the middle of the screen from the edge of the screen and back. Of course in a horizontal I. It would be nice if this feature had a toggle in the top bar pull down to turn it on/off. I'm hoping a Xposed Module developer notices this deficiency and comes up with a module with shortcut solution.
You have to start at edge of screen then finish at edge of screen, which can be a problem if you have a case. Doesn't hurt to actually go past the center either.
I can do it pretty consistently, and the times I fail I know it's because I hit the rim on the case and didn't swipe all the way to edge.
Since I am using full screen mode on MIUI 11 system launcher, I have this issue with my GBoard in apps like WhatsApp, i write a response to message then I have to swipe right to hide keyboard and swipe again to finally go back. It really annoys me.
Swiftkey keyboard have this gesture but I didn't get used to it. Swiftkey is not effective compared to GBoard I think.
I also tried the GMD Gestures but couldn't assign Gestures on system apps.
Thanks for your help.

Yeah, Android does it in general, to swipe back you first hide the keyboard. Maybe I'm wrong though
The navigation gestures on the 8 Pro are usable. However, I dislike the swiping to go back. It doesn’t allow for access to slide out menus from the side on different apps. On the 6T, you would swipe up on the right or left hand side to go back keeping the sides of the screen free. Is there anyone who would be able to somehow pull the navigation gestures that were on the 6T to be used on the 8 Pro?
I had asked this twice already and so far I've been told it's not possible just downloaded fluid navigation gestures and set them up and you're good to go.
There are alternatives when it comes to the swiping (All in one gestures/Vivd etc.) They do that job well in my opinion.
The thing they all have in common is that they need that area in the bottom to function, and for my case that messes with the lower end of my keyboard.
I enjoy having the swiftkey keyboard dragged down all the way to the bottom of the screen.
If someone is able to pull the OP gestures and somehow make it available as a module or whatever, I would surely donate some coffee..
This is almost a dealbreaker, and I miss my 7 Pro which also have them.

Were you able to set them up in a way that operates the same? Does it seem to work well and reliably/consistently?

the application itself one setup does perform like the regular OnePlus just the sensitivity area of where you're swiping up from kind of makes it like a dead zone for touching on other spots underneath the swipe area. But you can configure your sensitivity area I have mine set to a little bit of past half so this way I get the best of both I get my swipe gestures and I can still access the stuff that's underneath them. I also left the right side back gesture available so this way if it doesn't function properly on the bottom I still got the side.

Are you able to use root to hide the system navigation bar? It hides it for a second for me but it doesn't stay hidden which is frustrating. Unless that's a pro feature?

Mine stayed hidden all the time after I set I rebooted and haven't had a issue yet.
