I've got problem with my S4, today i flash it with OMEGA v10 rom... After this my phone get some problem with sound, i can't play any mp3, I don't have any notification sound, even when samsung is booting, also when I try to play video. There is one more thing, where someone is calling, my phone is stucking and I can't do anything untill stop ringing, there I having message "system is not responding". I was flashing it with Omega V9,V7.1 and It didin't work(also wipe data and chache in recovery), than i tried to flash with orginal stock firmware and wipe in recovery. STILL NOTHING ;/ can anyone help me ?

Oh no. Seem it has hard problems. Stock rom cant solve so i sure that :banghead:

What should I do, if my major function of the phone doesn't work?
When I try to call somebody, phone hangs (can't see even screen with options of the call), but it is actually calling.
It's weird to have this not working at all.
Tried reinstalling rom, installing other roms. Still the same. I did format to everything what's on my phone.
Help!

You need to give more information than that inorder for us to help you , are you using 4.3 custom/stock ? check youre baseband version, and check what kind of bootloader do you have (To check your bootloader go to download mode and if you have a KNOX WARRANTY VOID then you are having the new bootloader.

Oh I'm sorry.
Now I'm using Phoenix V.7 rom. It is 4.3 touchwiz rom. I tried other roms also (4.4.2 - 4.4 - 4.3 - 4.2)
My baseband version is XXUEMK8 (today I thought about modem problem, so I installed XXUEMK8 instead od XXUEMKF, which is recommended for Phoenix rom. The same on both modems) New bootloader.

Reboot into recovery, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and reboot.

Tried many times. Installing other roms (always full wipe), formating, changing modems.
It's like I hit the green call button to call somebody, phone hangs and screen is flashing.
Have you tried reinstalling a stock ROM with Odin?

I've just found it is not a phone app issue. It is related to microphone.
S-Voice "It looks like another application is using the mic. Please close it, then try again.

I have this same problem now with note 3. never been water damage or anything, then yesterday time was change then all sounds gone, when someone is calling me cant see anything on a screen, and on s-voice this same message: S-Voice "It looks like another application is using the mic. Hi! I have a problem with my Samsung I9505. I have Omega v19 based on firmware XXUEML6 Android 4.3 and I decided to flash a stock firmware I9505XXUEMKF_I9505COAEMJ8_COA. Unfortunately I had some issues and I don't know why. Fortunately I had philz_touch_5.18.9-i9505.tar cwm and was able to flash Omega v19 back. Everything its working fine but the dial and the sound. I don't have any sound, meaning I can't hear anything, no music no ringtones, nothing. And the second problem its the dial. So in the main screen I touch the phone widget everything its working fine but when I try to call someone my screen goes all black and starts to flicker and nothing happens, only after aprox 10 SECONDS appears the dialing screen but I cant hear the other person and neither can he. I don't know if its soft bricked or bricked but please help someone. I told you besides this two problems everything works well and even cwm and download mode. PLEASE HELP!!!

Boot into download mode and Try and flash the .Tar file via odin.

think if you flash your modem via odin , it will work fine.

Fortunately I resolved my problem. It was a bootloader problem. I tried to flash the new Omega v.22 kitkat4.4.2 but had the old bootloader. After flashing the new One the problem was resolved. Thank you for your help
I recently flashed my S4 ( GT- I9505 ) with the latest firmware I9505XXUHOA7 it works like a charm but I am facing only one issue with its sound. After few minutes its sound go vanish and I get unable to hear anything from media, phone calls and also notification sound. I tried re-flashing it several times but the problem is persistent. I have to restart my phone to get the sound back but it works for few minutes and I have to restart it again. Its really very annoying can any one Help??
P.S : Factory Reset, Cache Wipe all methods are already tried please suggest something else.

I am simply unable to use the device! Can't even call someone!
I tried a factory reset but of no use! This error still prevails but the occurence duration has been reduced! But, still m unable to use the fon as it just hangs up in between anything and everything!
Pls. help me with it's solution asap! What should I do? Pls...
UPDATE - It asked for updating and I updated my device to 4.4.4 (Stock).
But still, the phone still hangs a lot but the error has changed! Earlier, it showed - Process com android not responding!
But now, it shows - Google Play, Google TV, Google Calendar has stopped working!
These types of errors are being displayed and m still unable to use my device! Pls. let me know it's solution!

Try to flash the stock firmware via odin. You can download it on sammobile's firmware section

Have tried this also! Didn't work! The fon simply doesn't respond at all! M unable to use it!!
Any other solution pls??
Thanks to the bad gplay updates, the software is pretty bugged. Just download the stock firmware and check checksums before flash. Or flash custom rom from the section down below.
Dont know if you already tried but did you do a factory reset after the 4.4.4 update. I know OTA updates shouldn't mess stuff but sometimes they do.

I had flashed CM12 (5.1.1). It all went well - the flashing & all! But, i cudn't make any calls!
I have installed this ROM on my S3 Neo! But, m unable to make any call (From the SIM 1. Haven't used SIM 2 coz of the Audio prob being faced in the SIM 2 as mentioned in the thread). Whenever I make a call (sim 1), it gives an error - PROCESS SYSTEM ISN"T RESPONDING! Do u want to close it?
Even if i Click WAIT, nothing happens, there;s just a green screen being continuously displayed for about 30 seconds and then automatically, it gets back to the HOME SCREEN~!
I am unable to receive any incoming call also! The fon automatically reboots if a call comes and once it restarts, it shows the log in MISSED CALL!
Pls. Help! How to solve this out?
UPDATE :- I flashed CM11 after this problem thinking it might solve the problem but of no use again! Even, after installing CM11, I am unable to make any calls! The screen just goes blank! Maybe an EFS error, restore EFS partition and see if permissions are set correctly

I have a query! Is EFS only meant for IMEI related probs? Just asking becoz my fon is showing the IMEI Number and i am able to send and receive sms but problem is only with the calling! Can't make or receive any call!!

Try with a complete wipe of cache, system, data, dalvik, and internal memory, after that reinstall cm11 rom

All sounds on my galaxy s4 (gt-i9505) suddenly stopped. I dont hear any sound (buttons, mp3s,....).. The only sound I hear is sometimes within boot animation, when a booting reaches system, audio is gone. I tried many roms, many basebands, many experiments even stock roms, but nothing helped, but I noticed that audio works IN SAFE MODE!!!! So if there is BASEBAND UNKNOWN = AUDIO WORKS!!! But why? I tried many basebands/modems, but it wasn't helpful.
I flashed with Odin 3.10.6, CWM 6.0.4.4 (I cant get into another recovery after VolumeUP, so I MUST use this recovery.. I dont know why...), then I tried Omega ROM v40, v41; Phoenix ROM; GPE; some stock roms for my and other countries, but nothing helped.. Sound only in SAFE MODE, so I guess its not HW issue.
Last working configuration was on Omega ROM v40, but there have started troubles with sound..
PS: Yes, I tried a trick with headphones, that says you have to insert and pull out a jack many times and clear the hole .... didnt worked in my case.
I read many topics, but to most people helped returning to stock rom, however not in my case again...

I am also in the same boat as you. At the moment, I am using the S4 i9505 with Slim Rom and Open Gapps.
A while ago, I flashed TWRP and some how that fixed it for a while! But then the problem came back which is quite unfortunate. Since the phone is now mine (it was my sisters) I really want to fix this bad boy and use it (I use Xperia SP if you haven't noticed )
One question, you talked about SAFE MODE? Where can we find that? Remember, I have the same problem as you.
If I find a solution, I will PM and post here on what I did
