some roms i have are hspa+ but its so slow. are there any roms with lte that are recommended?
i amd using uxylon right now. so far shostock does have it. but i wanted some alternatives away from stock
Just look in the development forum. There are lots of good roms there. Try some and see what you like.
Ummm... I have to say this... User error.
Some ROMs require you to set your APNs correctly.

Asking questions like this create a lot of problems, "Best" is in the eye of the beholder, and users are expected to do their own research and testing to determine what it is they need.

Not sure if these threads are allowed. Causes a lot of problems usually...
haha was waiting for one of these to come up..
Try them for yourself and decide depends on everybody's. I've been using trickdroid. But ARHD is just as good IMO

If this thread is an issue it can be removed. I didnt know it wasn't allowed.

The best way to stop this thread getting messy is probably just a systematic review of both ROM's and make a few major sections (features, smoothness, etc) and then say which one has more or is better.
OFC that would require constant updating
Best thing is to try one, if you still want to try the other then most likely the current ROM isn't what your looking for.
Please just read each rom's respective thread. These threads typically turn into flame wars, etc

I have not been around in a long time... could you someone suggest a fast/stable/google edition rom? In here or via private message....
There just seems to be soooo many ones... so any recommendations appreciated
If someone tells you them via PM.. PM me! I've been looking for good I337m roms but have been using 9505 ones

Try them all and see which one fits your needs. Sorry but these types of threads are frowned upon on Xda.

"Try them all", if you have unlimited amount of free time and have absolutely nothing better to do.
On a more serious note, do let us know what your needs are. My needs were quite simple, I wanted something very close to stock, but with tethering support, exchange security disabled and a few other minor ones. So I picked Omega. Its meant for the international GS4. And it has been working well for me.
Some people prefer a little more in a custom ROM. Singing and dancing donkeys at startup and shutdown. Default backgrounds with a red devil holding a shotgun. WingDings as the default font. If you want something like this then you might want to look at a different ROM.

No one can suggest something for you as they do not know YOUR tastes. Read the OP of the ROMs on the top page, look at the screenshots, backup with recovery, flash and try each for a day or two.
what is the best TW custom rom for i337? thank you.
The best etc threads are usually not allowed. Others have recommended you research in the development section and read different rom threads, trying them for yourself. Everyone has opinions on what is best.

"Best" is very much in the eye of the beholder.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda premium
There is no such thing as BEST. Every member using any ROM thinks that one is the best, and may be...for THEM.
Members of this development site are expected to read and research before drastically altering their $700 device with custom software.
Only YOU can decide what is best for YOU. Factors that only affect you is what apps you have, how often you use them, signal strength, options desired, color preferences all contribute to what you may think is best.
i want to buy a new smartphone, i am thinking about buying the G2, so i was wondering if it has a cm version or not, i love custom roms am playing with all this stuff.
in the main page of the g2 there are a few android development forums, but i dont understand what is the device that the general and original forums are referring to.
thanks for the help.
There are separate developer threads now based on carrier. I would check there and if it's not there yet it might be in the future.

I think you mean the difference between Original Android Development and Android Development, not General. Just clearing that up for someone who might be able to answer. I don't know the actual answer myself. Sorry, man.

Original development is for things made from "scratch". Such as aosp Roms compiled by you, kernels, etc.
Development is more geared towards ports, building variants based on stock roms, and things of that nature.
Thank you Devs. From my LG G2.
i've been using LiquidSmooth for a few months and love it....except for one problem... ASOP doesn't play well with the Sprint network. before that Triforce was my driver
I've been trying to get my APN working on this "Echo" s5 port, but ive never had any luck changing these settings (help me!)
I really love the look/feel/options that come from ASOP roms, but apparently I need to go back to an ugly Touchwiz rom in order to reliably connect to sprint's towers (PRL/Profile updates)
So what do you all recommend in terms of stability and tweak-ability (xposed, etc)
right now im looking at NegaLite and Sac's
+1 for Nega. Super stable and devs his own kernel.

This should be in the Q&A section, but to answer you, both Nega & Sacs are impressive, Nega is more inverted however, I believe you can get the stock theme for it however, Sacs to me has more tweaks from multiple galaxy devices, but thats V6, the recent NG2 is still being updated.
Thank you both for your input. Nega seems good so far so i'll just stick with that until Sac has a chance to update. Parkourkid93, care to elaborate on what Sac used from other Galaxy devices? I'm quite jealous of ultra power save.
Sac Rom!!!

Of course you are correct - but they should know that the web view is only a short menu button away whenever signatures unseen are referenced
