Nexus 7 sound issue on songs - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys. I have a nexus 7 32gb wifi. Have had it for a year and its been fine. I mainly use for music in my vehicle.
Recently certain sounds in songs I can't hear or it's very very low. I am using it through the headphone jack. When I unplug the headphone it sounds fine through the internal speaker.
I'm running pacman rom 4.2.2. I recently added the Beats mod to see if it would fix it by using a different equalizer. No such luck though. The equalizer works great though. Any ideas?

Music through bluetooth terrible

Anyone know how to get the Bluetooth settings from android 4.1 put into android 4.2? I've seen people talking about stacks and what not but have no idea what they are talking about. It is actually an open issue in 4.2 that has been assigned. See thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am an audiophile and Bluetooth sounds fine.
In my car I have a Bose stereo. cymbal splashes, vocals, or anything high frequency sounds very tinny. or the best way to describe it would be like crinkling a potato chip bag during those high frequency parts. It isn't obnoxiously bad, but definitely bad enough to know something is not right. Didn't have problems on my galaxy nexus till it updated to 4.2, it sounded great. Then when nexus 4 came and I fired it up it thinking it would be better it sounded identical to the galaxy nexus post upgrade. The headphone jack sounds great though, it just seems to be affecting Bluetooth.

Bluetooth audio sounds fine to me as well. I'm using the LG HBS-700 A2DP headset.
I do find it to be less noticeable when using play music, or music on my phone. Still there, but not as bad. If I use slacker or Pandora, it's a train wreck. I know I'm not crazy cause I reverted my galaxy nexus back to 4.1.2 and it was fine again. I can use an aux cable but that defeats the purpose of having Bluetooth in my car. And I can't revert my nexus 4 to 4.1

[Q] Nexus 4 low headphones volume, any fix?

Guys, I had issues with the speaker volume, but they somehow fixed themselves. Yesterday I tried to listen to some music and my headphones were barely audible outdoors at full volume. I'm quite sure the headphones are fine, as they are rather loud when plugged into my wife's iPhone, but with Nexus 4 I get may be 1/3rd of their usual volume at 100% slider setting.
I tried to search on the forum and Google it, but could find a guide to fix this issue. Has anyone encountered and successfully fixed low 3.5mm jack volume?
I would appreciate your suggestions! Thanks!
Are you rooted?
If yes you can try an audio mod like xLouder or Viper4Android.
If not you can use poweramp to boost everything although it will probably sound like ****.

Thanks for your response!
I'm not rooted, running fully stock. I don't really need to boost *everything*, just the headphone output, it's the only thing that has low volume.

Nexus 4 mic issue

When I record video the audio is really distorted. If I'm playing loud music in my car the audio comes out really bad on my nexus 4. Is there a fix for mic gain?

Dear Blankit,
I had similar issue while recording videos from concert. It seems its a common issue with nexus 4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046613 [reference thread]
The way I fixed the issue was downloading a custom faux kernel or any other kernel which supports sound modifications. I flashed the kernel and decreased the mic gain while recording the video. That worked for me. I did this when i was on JB 4.2 now its been a long time since I tested the sound control. Maybe you can find a kernel which lets you control the sound and that should fix your problem.
If you are on JB 4.3 then below is the thread for AK which seems to have Faux Sound control v3.

Hope that helps

G2 bluetooth media problems, need help

I just got the g2, coming from a s4.
I am rooted on stock Verizon. I connect to my bose soundlink bluetooth speaker, and status says connected and media is checked. When I play anything, sound comes out of the phone earpiece and not the Bluetooth. Not the phone speaker but the earpiece. If I disconnect the Bluetooth, audio plays through the phone speaker correctly. I have tried this with both a Bluetooth speaker and headset and same problem with both, sound through phone earpiece when connected to bluetooth and not through the Bluetooth speaker. Not sure what is causing it but it is driving me crazy. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Same thing happens to me. I got T-mobile lg g2.
I don't know how to fix your issue. But, once it is fixed you will find that music streamed off of the G2 sounds horrible. It makes my Bose almost sound like it's mono.

I reflashed stock ROM, it worked for a day, and then same problem. I know it is the phone, I can use every other device I have and it works fine. Is there another version of the Bluetooth app we can try? Really frustrating and tough finding any info

Audio issue on n9005 4.4.2

Hey all
I am running a tw 4.4.2 rom (kingdroid at the moment but had the same problem on others).
Using the stock music app or play music (a haven't tried others) when listening to music on headphones the audio will randomly be sent out of the phone speaker and headphone jack at the same time.
I have no idea why.
All I do know is I intended to use this phone instead of a dedicated audio player but I can't as randomly I scared the hell out of old people on the train.
Is this a known issue?
Any advice would be fantastic as I am so close to going and spending stupid money on a dap that I really just don't have lol.
Thanks in advance.
Scott

Update:
This occurs on all audio.
Eg.
Phone calls will route audio via ear piece and speaker. Music will play vis headphones and speaker.
All audio routes as it is meant too but in addition via the speaker.
The issue is intermittent.
No obvious trigger
