[HOW TO][ANY ROM] Install and Configure Halo - One (M7) General

Here's a guide on how to install PA halo and configure it
Just thought i'd share this with y'all also
1. Install Floating Notifications and enable it in the Accesibility menu.
2. Select the box labeled "Launch Apps in Halo Mode"
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
3. Go to the app notifications menu and check which ones you want it to notify you for. HINT: if you want a real halo experience the rightmost icon in the app list will make the icon stay floating.
4. This is a personal preference: Go to Customize in Floating Notifications and select "Dock after a few seconds of inactivity" and then at the bottom set "Amount of the icon hidden when docked:" to 55%. If it is more than 55% then you will have trouble clicking the stack.
5. REBOOT PHONE.
Now for the Xposed part.
1. Install Xposed Framework
2. REBOOT PHONE.
3. Go into Xposed Installer and go to "Downloads" and select XHaloFloatingWindow, and then install it.
4. REBOOT PHONE.
5. Go into Xposed Installer and go into "Modules" and check the box "XHaloFloatingWindow".
6. For safe measure REBOOT PHONE. And then you're done
Lemme know if y'all need any help!
Also on the reboots it hung on the splash for a while.
Oh yeah not responsible if your device catches fire.
If you're having a problem with the stock messenger app look here:

using this will make the sense stock messager app from working properly as you won't be able to see the "SEND" button in the halo window
*correction* you just have to change the height of portrait 0.8 or at least for me, maybe this doesn't happen with other ppl.

SPB mobile shell see windows title bar.

SPB mobile shell, is there any way to keep to windows title bar visible while running mobile shell.
Reason is volume control is there so, it is difficult to change volume with out minimizing app also I want to toggle between apps and I can not use "X" button functionality from SPB. Is there any easier way to toggle?
Any help would be appreciated.
hah, I've never seen a bot actually reply to a post
as for your question, I am wondering the same thing
For the volume, use the "SetVolume0.4b1.cab" file found on this forum. You can set a shortcut into your tools folder and it works brilliantly. Not sure about x button problem..
Cheers...
Something like this..?
This is do to Gagaza's modification.. and began to think on adding a start button, I ended up with this.

1) Start in (SPB) settings, select customize menu, highlight tools.
2) Now to begin select menu on bottom right, then add-> menu..
3) Choose the icon you desire and name it.
4) Then once done open tools (still in customize menu) go to the menu/icon you've created..
5) Highlight then select menu at bottom right and click on add->file. Now you can select any files you want. (I've chosen File Explorer, Skyfire, Dashwire and Sprite Backup)
6) Once all this is done then you go to MRU 2nd app (left to right 1st row) and Manage Pin to your created menu/icon.
7) Then load the modification gagaza has created and your good to go! (You can do this first also)
Enjoy..!

How to Change "Your Name's Kindle" in the Notification Bar

I haven't seen this posted but if you want to change the text that displays your name's Kindle that appears in the top left of your screens here's how to do it.
Log into the Amazon website and go to Your Account in the top right. Scroll down to Digital Content and select Manage Your Kindle then click on Manage Your Devices. Now press edit and change the text to whatever you want, you can remove your name as well. Once you're done press "update" and close your browser. Now go to your Kindle and pull down the notification bar to access your quick controls and press Sync, the text in the top left will be changed.

Good stuff! I wondered how to do this..worked for me! Thanks!
Just did this per your instructions (and did a re-register, which did keep the installed apps in place). Thank you!!
For the last part (the deregister), you don't have to deregister. You can always jusy hit the sync button in the mini settings menu that comes down from the notification bar.

Anyway to add the "On/Off" switch in status notification bar of wifi?

Hi all~
I was using Allwinner A10 tablet before + custom rom and the ROM offer few handy things:
1) On the notification bar of wifi, I can immediately turn on or off the wifi instead of requiring to jump to SETTING
2) Want to add bluetooth notification bar as well
3) Long press power button can select reboot or screen capture as well
4) anyway I can add file association to .pdb => iSilo? By now ES explorer knows .pdb is ebooks but when I click it, it will said no program can open it...
Thanks a lot!

For stock? You could use extended controls, Widgetsoid, or notification toggles. (Apps in tve play store) As for the file part I have no clue.

Most of those are built into Cyanogenmod
You can add notification toggles to the stock ROM with widgetsoid; this video shows how to do it:
http://youtu.be/_GCiEqB5How?t=5m17s
so there is no way to add that button on the built in notification bar? must need a 3rd party widget? ('cause I changed to use tablet UI by altering the lcd.density so normal widget looks odd~ )
Thanks a lot!~

[Q] Possible to add toggle switch for 4G LTE?

Is it possible to have a 4G LTE toggle switch in the the Quick Settings Panel?
Everytime i reboot, I have to manually go into the phone settings to switch it over to LTE mode...
If you're on a custom rom...probably.

Anyone know how to do this??
Nexus 4 Rooted
Running Paranoid Android
Although this thread is pretty old...
If you're not using ART and are rooted, yes, it can be done. Here's what you do:
(Note: If you've already installed rovo89's Xposed Framework you can skip to step 4)
Download the Xposed Installer APK.
Launch the Xposed Installer, go to the "Framework" section and click on "Install/Update".
Reboot.
Launch the Xposed Installer, go to the "Download" section and click on the magnifying glass.
Search for "GravityBox [KK]" (or "GravityBox [JB]" if you're using Jellybean) and download it to your device.
Return to the Xposed Installer main menu and go to the "Modules" section.
Enable GravityBox by checking the checkbox.
Reboot.
In your app drawer you should see an application called--*gasp*--GravityBox; launch it.
Go to "Statusbar tweaks", then "QuickSettings management", and finally click on "Statusbar QuickSettings Tiles".
Scroll down the list until you find "Network Mode" and, if it isn't already, check it.
Click "OK".
Still in the "QuickSettings management" menu, scroll down until you find "Allow LTE network mode" and, if it isn't already, check it.
Exit GravityBox.
Go to your Quick Settings panel.
Profit! :victory:
Here's what it should look like:

How to create a full new interface on a rooted phone also with a ROM installed

Hello there is a full tutorial about how to change your whole GT-I9000 (Samsung Galaxy S)
When you are sure you wan't to change the whole interface and you know your phone have a custom rom installed (best rom is Slim..no ofence that is just my opinion ) skip to that steps:
1. Let's get started;
2. Getting a good launcher for free;
-Go to PlayStore;
-Search for Holo Launcher ( the blue icon with a big H inside is the latest version), that is the launcher that I recomand to use because is faster and clean, also look like a -Marshmellow (6.0 android) interface ;
-Install Holo Launcher (accept all of terms);
-Also you can costumise your wallpaper and drawer by pressing the option button on your phone or in launcher setings;
3. Changing setings;
-Go to setings;
-If your ROM don't have advanced interface options skip that point(3.Changing setings);
-Anyway, go to setings and search for interface options;
-Take some of your "precious" time and play with all of this cool interface settings;

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4. Get a bootloader animation changer app;
-Open PlayStore and search for the app named: "Bootloader animation changer" (only for Super User- SU);
-Press install and accept all of the following pages;
-When install is done get right into it;
-Search for some nice bootloader animations and press install;
-To be sure you installed the animation correctly press 3 times the install button and reboot your phone;
-Nice Work! Only if you are done with that;
5. You are now in possesion of a fully moded cutest interface that can be seen by your phone 4ever;
Well done newbie :laugh:
