Hey!
What is happening: in recovery, i get these errors (right after entering):
E:cant mount CACHE: recovery/command
E:cant mount CACHE: recovery/caller
E:cant mount CACHE: recovery/log
This prevents me from installing a new zip from SDcard, but can wipe cache and do data/factory reset.
I have this on two Defys at once. On the first one the problem came after i did a data/factory reset with no SDcard in the device. (this phone is in bootloop ever since)
The other phone went into this stage after i did the same with an empty SDcard.
I'd like to get some gudelines how to solve this issue. Thank you in advance.

My daughters just broken here wifi xoom
She went to install an update and now its in a loop of booting to clockwork recover / normal boot.
When booting to android it loads then 10 seconds later powers done to goto recovery...
When in recovery its throwing up lots of errors:

E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log

to complicate matters i can't enter recovery with sdcard inserted i get an icon (exclamation matk and android). and i cant mount the sd card in recovery

Use fastboot to flash the stock images and you should be fine

Hey all I already used the search function before posting this. Basically I was sitting and unlocked my phone to check my email and I kept getting force close errors for Google Keep and it wouldn't let me do anything else so I rebooted my phone, after that my phone gets stuck on the CyanogenMod boot animation
I rebooted into ClockworkMod recovery and decided to wipe data factory reset and every time I do, this appears:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't mount /sdcard/
E:Can't mount /sdcard/
I've tried wiping cache after that and dalvik cache, nothing happens. I can access the bootloader menu and ClockworkMod. I've thought of using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475 but I just want to access my Titanium Backup folder and save it to my computer first, any thoughts?

This is a rewritten version of an earlier post.
I haven't been able to boot my TPT for about two weeks now. At first it was stuck on the spinning "CyanogenMod" logo, and would go no further; now it's stuck on the Lenovo logo. If I boot into CWM recovery (which usually takes several attempts; the first few times result in a black screen), first I get a list of errors:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I can't apply any of the format zip files, as any attempts to apply a zip file from either the sd card or the external sd card results in an error:
E:Can't mount /sdcard
or
E:Can't mount /external_sd/
I've tried wiping the cache and the Dalvik cache, but so far nothing has allowed me to reformat the system and boot into it. This is all very frustrating. I don't mind wiping the entire system and starting from scratch - but I would like my tablet back!
Is there any way of overcoming these "Can't mount" errors?
(I read somewhere that one option is to reformat the SD card with FAT32 and install the ROM from there; dunno if that will work through.) Anyway, suggestions are very welcome!

i formatted my sd card(fat32) and put froyo dload folder to root,then the phone started so called updating and it says completed..then it rebooted few times and goes to android system recovery and error come like
e:cant mount @ (or /dev/block/mmcblk0p6)
(invalid argument)
e:cant mount cache:recovery/command
e:--->open cache partition failed
e:cant mount @ (or /dev/mmcblk0p6)
(ivalid argument)
and so on
please help me i really wanna use cm7 after downgrading

In recovery select Wipe Factory Reset
Then Wipe cache and then reboot.
It should work.
The problem is my phone unexpectedly shutted down when it was connected to computer and was running 3 apps that didn´t need much resource. And now if I try to start the device, I get the bootloop error.
Also when I go to CWM, I get these errors:

I also can´t mount data (I get the "Error mounting data!") and cache too. I only can mount system and format cache, but not format data.
I already tried adb pull command, but as I can not mount data, I am not able to pull anything from there. I already took my SD-card out and got most of the pictures and songs. But most of the data is stored on the internal memory as in CM11, you can not move apps to SD-card. So my question is that, is it possible to restore data from internal memory in my case? I mean SMS-messages, app data and bookmarks from AOSP Browser and UC Browser that are all stored on internal memory.
Sadly I haven´t done any Titanium backup and also Nandroid backup before this happened.
