Neo L firmware upgrade = 2011 Xperia FW upgrade? (4.1.B.0.626)

So according to Xperia Blog, the Neo L has had new firmware certified on the PTRCB. Version 4.1.B.0.626. http://www.ptcrb.com/vendor/complete/view_complete_request_guest.cfm?modelid=21028
OK, but the neo L isn't a 2011 Xperia so whats your point?
Look at the version number of its upcoming firmware on the PTRCB link above. 4.1.B.0.626. Look at its previous firmware on the same list. 4.1.B.0.587. Look at our latest version. 4.1.B.0.587.
Ahhh. See what I'm getting at?
So based on this, my conclusion is that the 2011 Xperias should be receiving the .626 update soon. This will most likely be bug fixes but it's always good to see new updates from Sony. Sony did say that while we are not getting JB (unless they have a change of heart) they will still support us via ICS firmware updates.
Your thoughts? Agree or disagree?

yeah thats a good news if neo l will get then we can hope that our xperias will also get

Maybe someone could upload a dump so we can port to arc exept kernel it will work...

The kernel is the exact same one as the 2011 phones. 2.6.whatever it is.

just flashing it except kernel and baseband.
and, flashing .562 kernel. than it will boot.

We dont need new Baseband and libs.
just set APN.
anyway, i tried it.
GSM work
screen work
hw key work (if you install Attached file with cmw)
camera not work
wifi not work
bluetooth not work
hw key backlight not work.

mate flash an arc device patch and it should work... what did you just flashed it?

the link not the problem,i think you conneting is problem...fix for usb mtp and bulid.prop..

i guarantee that my connection is not the problem. something's wrong with the file as it fails to complete downloading

the rom seems to be very fast. No problems with the camera, I'm gonna try the touchpads and see how it goes
edit : there seems to be an error in your ics fix.zip. (Error 6. installaton aborted)

for now everything is working really well. I'm restoring my apps right now so that's gonna take a little while but I'll let you know more later. First impressions are very, very good. All camera options work fine, the rom is really snappy, great stuff!!!
edit : one little gripe, after manually inserting the proper build.prop from your zip, my phone recognises itself as r800i but my computer still thinks it's a neo L when I plug it in. nothing major but i had to let you know

your zip has an error .. status 6...

I downloaded this firmware .... had to convert it to ftf ... and flashed it .... feels smooth, thought there are some force closes in the start... but works great ... There is no particular difference between other firmwares and this on... Just a little smoother...
I haven't checked the touchpads yet... Will check it later..

LTE on C5302

There is no LTE in menu of c5302,but some days ago i flashed C5303 FTF file on c5302.it show me LTE mode in netwprk settings.and many other new thing thats not persent on latest updatre of C5302.in jhargram where i live there is no LTE.only H+ is abelable.so i requst to any user to to flash C5303 FTF and check if its give us LTE or not?

There maybe LTE on the menu but I think it will not work. It is hardware dependent.. I think....
It would be nice if you will upload the screenshot of the actual experience using LTE not the one that you will find in the menu.

There is No chance for LTE working in C5302. Its hardware dependent. If u flash C5303 firmware in C5302 means u will get the LTE menu and ur model number will be C5303. But u will not get LTE in C5302. 200% because its hardware dependent....

I believe a DevDB Project should only be created if it works....and even so, LTE on the C5302 wouldn't be some kind of project.

They are different phones for different regions.
Just like c5306 is for Mexico.... Just the way Sony makes phones and people by them.

I think there is only diffrence in 3G frequescy,and I think that lte is supported on board of xperia sp c5302 because in service menu there is lte is available . In which board lte is unsupported there is no lte in service.i dont know whether I m correct or not because I checked tipo service menu there is no lte sign.i dont know correctly.

If its only for working projects then there testing status should not stay on there menu,look at my status its in testing mode, if you have c5302 and you are in 4g city then please check and uplod true feeling,is it working or not that should helpfull for me

If they say LTE is not supported, why do you even try? Is 4G even that important to you? Even if you could get 4G, does your country support 4G? I don't get what you're trying to prove to the people here.

I think you should check your behaveiour,it is indian in india 4g is supported in each and every cities bt I am in a town where is no lte,but will launch in next month,and do you have any idea why devs porting 4.3 to htc pico? If you have then just stop like that ****"if they say LTE is not supported, why do you even try? ".

I am also from India and i am a True Indian.. And i checked LTE for u from my friend's Xperia SP C5302. Yes i flashed C5303 FTF in C5302 and checked. LTE option is available in settings but when i select LTE its saying no service available and no Signal.
And i tried in my C5303 ( Original one Imported from China ) . 4G is working... Yes that's true...
So pls kindly understand that 4G is a Hardware related thing. In C5302 it will not support... So we can stop this argument here....
Its same like Xperia Ion 3G version and LTE version... So pls try to understand....

I have reported this thread to be closed. Reason for this is I want to prevent confusion here. I hope users know the diffrence between both models. C5303 has LTE and the C5302 NOT.
Also to be honest this is a very pointless thread..

C5302 will not handle LTE signal. It's a bit different piece of hardware than C5303 or C5306.

Hopefully.. We needthis badly

It is likely they did this as so people aren't running buggy software as their daily driver. It forces you to either use a ROM with working camera and modem files, or use it with MultiROM if it is available for your device.

Does anyone know if you need the special bootloader with the recovery partition for this preview?

A quick look at the instruction should say what's required, but if it's a sony release it'll most likely be an .ftf but no camera or modem is a bit unfortunate.... Has anyone bothered to package this yet? Just curious to see what it's like on our devices.

it needs a recovery and unlocked bootloader, so i don't think it is a ftf

FXP just released a build for m developer preview.... anyone tried it yet? Haven't the time to reprogram my device for now as it's my daily driver :/

Dont know what they changed but its the same security patch level like 224 FW 1.April 2016. You can dirty flash only system partition until the patch script for new kernel is there. debloat script from 224 works fine http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z4/general/debloat-z3-z4-224-fw-t3399672

Hi, looking into xperiFirm about italian customizedIT firmware, and noticed that is present the last version 32.2.A.0.253/R9C
My phone, instead, is on 32.2.A.0.224 / R4C with a different number of Customization(CDF):
- mine is 1295-6968_R4C
- instead XperiFirm customizedIT is 1295-7868_R9C
Someone could explain me if I can flash the customizedIT ftf on my phone, without brick it?
Which are the differences about these two version of firmware?
EDIT: Today I've connected phone to my PC, using Xperia Companion new firmware result and I've updated my phone to latest version.

Installed it last night - can't see anything major differences yet - not in the menu or anywhere else. Will see if battery life is any better.

Same for me.
Also I have noticed battery life a little better. :highfive:
In any case, system it's stable and fluid. I don't have problem with my SBH50 bluetooth stereo headset, so no differences for me about this.
But, if Sony fix bugs and improved battery life, in my opinion is still a great thing :good:

Hi. With Lollipop Z3+ can record 4K video more than 40 minutes without any warning notifications(I tested it). If anybody tested Z3+ with Marshmallow (new firmware 32.2.A.0.305) version in 4K camera mode please let me know how long it can stay.
