Every time I plug my car's aux line into the headphone jack, it will lower the volume. I know how to disable the volume warning but it will still lower the volume.. so is there any way to prevent that?

Hi,
I bought a Seidio Audio Adapter - miniUSB To 3.5mm - with One-Touch/Mic at the XDA store. It works great and I have no problem listening to music with my sony headset since you can adjust the volume with audiomanager. However when I am on a phone call it is super loud and I cannot adjust the volume. I looked around for a registry tweak but they usually talk about BT or speakerphone. What I want is the actual volume on the wired headphone. Can someone help? I am going deaf here!
Bump. This info is much needed. Please help.
So it didn't come with an inline manual volume adjuster? Sorry if that sounds like a ridiculous question. I'm looking for an adapter too and this is the first time I realized this might be an issue.
So to sum this up if you change the incall volume of the phone it doesnt change the output volume in your earphones? This seems rather weird to me because usually changing the output volume of the phone shouldnt allow the earphones to get louder tones...correct me if I'm wrong.
Hi all,
as I dont like the sound quality of the htc headset that came with the jade I bought an adapter mini-usb to 3.5mm to fit my in-hear sony headset.
Now I have a problem that at the minimum volume level the person on the other side of the line during a call is actually still quite loud and I can not find any way to set the lowest value lower!
While listening to music now is excellent, as with windows media player I can decrease the volume as much as I want, I can not do the same with phone calls!
I looked into registry tweaks but they didnt do the job.
Anybody had the same issue...?
Thanks for any help
Get some earphones with a built in volume control.

So. it's about the person at the receiving end hearing it loud, not you. What you can control is the volume of your earpiece, not the other end. You cannot control the speaker unit. So you have to speak more softly or put the mic a little bit further away.
Is there any way to make the lowest headphone audio setting any quieter?
I am a big fan of in ear headphones, but the problem I always face is that the lowest setting on audio devices is too loud for these types of headphones. I was wondering if there were any tricks to make the lowest sound setting any quieter.
I'm also wondering where the limitation is, either hardware limit, audio driver, or the android API?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
On a side note, it seems like there is just one "Media Volume" setting state regardless of whether the headphones are plugged in or out. This is somewhat annoying as if I was listening to something on the loud speaker at full volume, and then plug in my headphones to listen to some music later without remembering to change the volume my ears would start to bleed
+1. I like how my previous winmo device had system volume AND player volume which stacked. Set both controls to minimum and I could enjoy my music late at night before going to sleep without having those crescendos making me jump out of my bed.... but with Android, I have yet to find something similar.
I noticed this too but when I switched to a different set of in-ear headphones it changed. Maybe buy a different pair of headphones?
Anyway to prevent the phone from changing the headset volume level to half way when a headset is plugged in?
I upgraded from n6 to 6p and I noticed volume from headphone jack is alot quieter. I travel for work alot so I use an aux cord for my music and have to have the car stereo volume a good 12-15 digits higher for same volume level I had with n6. Anyone know of a way to correct this?
Thanks

This worked for me...change the values to match what is highlighted in post #5 of this thread.
