Hi, I'm using the phone on GSM network outside the US, it had no problem when on 4.3.
After installing the 4.4.2 ROM (it is Sac's custom ROM based on official 4.4.2) I find it does not work with GSM SIM. There is no APN setting available, mobile network has no GSM option either.
Is there some hidden trick to re-enable GSM support on 4.4? Thank you.
there is a current update for my phone ver 5.0 for note3 in my country Philippines, but only specific for a network provider (Globe).
No, I have a phone that was not purchased from that network provider and has been using the generic stock rom version for manual update.
question: If I install a version 5.0 that is not generic and specific to a network provider (Globe), will this delete the files on my phone storage or it will just update the OS and files will still be intact?
I would really appreciate the help.
I was using unlocked sprint note 4 i.e., 910P in India with lollipop 5.1.1 firmware. I downloaded and installed stock N910PVPU4DPC1 6.0.1 firmware and now my mobile doesn't have any signal. I selected GSM/UMTS mode in network and manually search for the network but its not working. Any way to fix this??
Thank you.
The current csc code is XAS and as far as I remember in 5.1.1 formware I was using it was CHN. So will that have any impact??
Atleast somebody please tell me that how will I know that whether the problem is carrier locked or something else. Because when I insert the SIM it won't say anything like invalid SIM or SIM card rejected. I searched manually for the signal and it just keeps saying " registering on network".
Hi. I have a Lenovo A6000 Single Sim. I bricked my phone it reflashed it with the dual sim version. But then I somehow cannot use any sim card. It says I have to insert a sim from China Telecom. I then flashed Philippines.ota.zip (which is my country code), after i checked ####6020# in the dial screen, then I found Philippines as carrier, but I still get the same error.
I tried to flashed the ota update single sim ROM for A6000-m. The ROM worked fine, but when I checked again for the Carrier in ####6020#, my carrier was not indicated, only Egypt, Czech, UAE, and others. Then I flashed again the Philippines.ota.zip, but found out that it might not be compatible as it is for the LP version (error in the flashing).
Will someone help my Lenovo A6000 to be able to read/make data connections again? Thanks!
PS: My phone is originally locked on a certain Philippine Carrier.
You can try instaling custom rom and then flashing a single sim mod from @wujke post
Hi guys,
My previous thread was a bit long and quite complicated (link below)
Just want to make it simple.
I have factory unlocked n9005. Recently flashed Fougat ROM, AryaMod and Lollipop 5.0 BTU Stock ROM.
It used to accept all SIM cards, but now I can't use Virgin SIM ("Emergency calls only"). Checked O2 SIM and it works.
When scanning for networks it only finds O2, vodafone and 3 network. It doesn't find EE (Virgin uses EE towers).
Spent loads of hours trying to fix it, but with no success.
I truly hope you guys will be able to help me.
Thank you very much in advance.
Regards.

Click to collapse
Yes, model in download mode shows SM-N9005 and the IMEI is intact - same under battery and from the dialer.
I really have no idea what can cause the phone not to detect and not connect to only ONE specific network, while other UK carriers are recognized.
Tried different basebands and bootloaders. With - I think - German baseband it recognized Virgin, but could not connect to it...
Any ideas guys?
Thank you
Thread can be closed - phone after couple of days eventually connected to the network itself. Weird.
