How to root thread?? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

Hello all, been looking threw the forums and do not see a how to root thread? Been debating on rooting, can you unroot if need be?? Havent been on android since the original evo. Just got myself the white s4 in replace of my iPhone 4S so haven't flashed or rooted nothing in a few years beside jailbreaking which is boring... Thanks!

No dev work. Maybe just some minor tweaking here and there but otherwise mostly theme work.

What's up guys! Esteway, you will learn a whole new way to root install recovery etc. Once you get cwm on board just go about flashing as normal. Shabbypenguin made a one click root to make it easier but its almost too easy

I just made the same switch and am happy with the phone. Rooting is a bit trickier at first but fastboot is quite cool and easy to use. Read the rooting instructions carefully.... I scared myself a few times. You won't need odin or heimdall anymore.

Hey guys

Hey guys. I came from the iphone 4s after shattering my htc one xl just want to make sure if im in the right place. I do have att and if you guys have any advice let me know!

Get the iPhone 5. It's a major update from the 4S. If you are a heavy texter then stick with apple. If you care more for Internet browsing and multimedia then the Samsung Galaxy S2 might be a good fit because of the bigger screen and external SD.
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 32 GB Model
And with s4 is there any version numbers I should be aware of? I do have root experience but I know most of us are like this with a new phone. I also started to do my reading Thanks. Kole

If you can't be bothered doing a search don't bother rooting the phone.
Seriously, don't. You will just wreck it. It requires patience and a lot of reading.
