Hey guys, I know this has probably been asked before but seeing as I couldn't find a thread already I thought I'd ask. Is there any way to get the S-View cover working on an AOSP based rom through a software mod or additional software installation? I would really appreciate an answer regardless of what it may be and will be very grateful if someone can tell me. Thanks in advance to everyone who reads this!
Sincerely,
Matthew Finer

Hi i've been reading alot and searching all over but have yet to seen someone approve an ownage rom for My Mogul/titan/ppc6800, i was wondering if people can give some good feedback on a good selection of roms with nice customizations/programs included, also i'd like to stay WM6. Thanks!
Though this may be contrary to many peoples thoughts, i liked the touchwiz launcher. is there anyway we can port this to the mt4g? i am willing to help as much as i possible can. or if instructions can be posted, i can try myself.
Thanks in Advance,
Vibrant Ownr

CynomogenMOD 7. Should be enough to answer your question.
just incase: Cm7 you can really modify your htc hd2 with some really cool features.
Customization. CM and MIUI roms both come with this feature.

Basically you get stock Android (AOSP) which is freely available to public and manufacturers to modify to suit needs, like adding new UI's like HTC Sense or Samsung TouchWiz etc.
CyanogenMod is simply a non-commercial public mod that has been done to stock Android. Another example is MIUI.
If you want to know more you should simply google Cyangonmod.
Hi,
I know a fair bit about linux and programming and got an i9500 in India.
There seem to be a lot of (legitimate) hate among developers regarding the Exynos5 due to open sourcing problems by Samsung.
My main question is that there are various kernels such as Wanham and Perseus for the i9500, can't the ROMs be built from those.
Is there a noob friendly guide so that one can understand that. I searched, but didn't find anything. Will be great if someone can point me in the right direction. I am sure I am missing a lot of info and want to help in any way I can in making the i9500 ROM.
Thanks in advance guys. I had the CM10.1 on my i9300 before this phone and die everyday I have to use TW.

i would like to know the answer to this as well!
+1
Hey guys, I am coming here to ask you all a question. I got my phone unlocked earlier this week and have an interest in learning how to program in AOSP and even help with the CM14.1 build process. Could anyone point me in the right direction as to how to learn to do that? It would be greatly appreciated. I have a really good computer I built and I know a little bit in the coding department and know a good amount with Linux, and so on. It would be a real blessing. Thanks.

Check out the thread at the Android Builders Collective. They are a bunch of exceptionally talented folk & can provide lots of guidance in building. It would also be amazing to have an ABC (Pure Nexus based) ROM for our A7s.
Good luck!

that absolutely would be amazing. Just the AOSP with GAPPS flashed afterwards and maybe try to get the bugs worked out. I'm not sure if i want to do a cm14.1 build or something more complex. All depends i guess.
