MIUI 1.7.8 MMS confirmed working!

Andmer finally has MMS working on his rom with the apk listed here http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15707813/miui/Mms.apk. Replace the apk in system/app with root explorer and exit permissions. This is confirmed by myself and many others who have sent numerous incoming and outgoing mms messages. I dont believe there is anymore functionality i would need out of this rom other than speed and sensor optimizations. Also, autobrightness doesnt seem to work at the moment.

Wow...I thought that the general section was for these types of threads.. first everyone complains that things are posted in the wrong section, now the wrong thread?? This community it's slowly going to **** with the people posting only negative comments.

I was saying he should have posted it in the MIUI thread we have in the Development forum since that's where it'd get more exposure. How that is bad to say is beyond me.

It's all over the miui thread. But unless you want to read through several pages, you won't see it. Hence the general section for better coverage to the average reader.

I also heard that the in call audio issue was also fixed? What were the files that were used?

Jeeeez, mms is something that has been a feature desired by a number of people for many months. There is nothing wrong with this thread. Go troll the knob that needs help deciding whether to get a dx2,inc, or charge.

sorry. i don't have enough posts to post there. figured if there was a thread for the cm7 anticipation, people wouldn't mind seeing when miui would be fixed. besides... this IS the general section.

I'm in the same boat (not enough posts).
Very excited to see the MMS fix! I ran the MIUI ROM a few builds ago and decided it wasn't quite ready for my daily driver, but now it looks very promising. Can't wait to flash the new build on Friday.
JT and Andmer are some awesome devs and have done a great job on these ROMs!

What do you mean by exit permissions?
I don't understand what that means. Thanks in advance!!

typo. i meant edit permissions =) right click on the file and edit permissions. add checkmarks to the user boxes

yes, http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=652574&d=1310485493 if you havent already found the link =)
audio works fine on my part after this fix. once again, replace apk in system/app... it WILL force close. reboot, edit permissions through root explorer, reboot again if necessary.

Anyway to get the apk installed without root explorer. Currently I am broke can't afford to purchase it

I am in the same boat about not having enough posts. I am glad to read this, hopefully he includes this in the Friday update ( I am sure he will!!). Can't wait for friday to run this thing.

Super Manager works good and is Free. Still, if you can afford it down the road Root Explorer definitely works the best for me.

Official jb experience!!

So, the official update is here. Atleast in some regions while others wait for it. Though numerous roms r out with jb, I thought we could just start a thread for getting the people who wait for it excited (already excited, even so.). so, let us begin with the changes, one question I would like to ask is about the startup of phone app? Is it still slow? Thought, I felt my phone blazing fast, the instant I press phone , it just bring down the smile. . Comeon people!! Share!!!!:thumbup:

Just thought of creating a thread where everyone can share if they feel like instead of asking who wish to know the experience by looking at number of other post! Isn't this a forum which is actually built to Help other people? What is so wrong with just sharing some experience? Is it so forbidden or something? Comeon people!!

People keep thinking it's possible to port a non-released, non-leaked OS onto any phone they have, this is no different, no matter how many times you say it in the other threads in this Sailfish section, no one will read it and make another pointless thread again and again.

And before anyone says anything about the SDK, it is no used because it's for x86, not for arm.

I was looking through the sailfish forum and couldn't find anything for sg3 international but it's being developed for other versions of gs3 maybe I didn't look hard enough

I do not think it is being developed for SGS3. There is no arm source and there are no drivers.
But if I am wrong, can you drop a link to this thread?

Released? After a long time/never.
There is no tutorial post for i9300.
Now... Can we just let this thread die? I'm sure the ROM will get to i9300 section if/when its released.

May as well shout out "improved fruit, improved fruit"
Please also remember this forum is global and yelling out "I got an update" doesn't mean someone in a different country is going to get a "stability update"oh and unless you got useful information why get involved!

Torrent insufficient permissions

Let me rephrase that - since I have no idea about your specific ROM I can not say if it is a problem very specific to that or if you are another clueless guy who did not care to read the rules of this forum starting with the first one:

And yes I did read the rules, but like most people on here I'm not infallible, is forgetting a simple rule a hanging offence? The problem here is someone with nothing better to do than pick up on others mistakes! A petty one at that.. If I wanted trolling I'd of asked on twitter, seems I made the mistake of thinking most people on here were helpful rather than critical..

Use uTorrent, I see you are using the Vuze client which causes issues with some models.

aTorrent is the best client by far!
