Thank you, I've deleted the Samsung one and DashClock Widget is now default!
Also in the lockscreen, how can I show the extension information as it's only a small icon next to the clock at the moment,

You're welcome
You can extend the widget by swiping from the top of the widget to bottom of the screen, you'll see a rectangle around it as you swipe. And as far as I know currently there is no option to make it extended by default (at least on stock rom)

How do you make the widget bigger?
Hello,
the widget looks tiny on my screen, how do I make it bigger, to fill more the screen? It doesn't look good like this.
Thank you

I guess you didn't understand what I mean.
I mean, make the widget bigger, not extend the informations. Like make the time numbers bigger, everything bigger so it doesn't look so small. Not extend to show more info by swiping down... I am not that stupid

Sorry for that, I understand you now
Currently you can't change the size of the widget elements. I know that a lot of users want that including me. You can see all of the requests and issues here https://code.google.com/p/dashclock/issues/list

[Q] Where can i find this clock/weather widget?

Hey guys, got a little question i hope you can answer!
I'm after the clock/weather widget in this screenshot from the Shadowfrost theme
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've seen it in a few places.
I understand the clock is the simi clock and the weather is fancy widgets (which i have both) but i'm not sure how to get them looking like they do in the above screeny.
When i try and apply a skin to the fancy widgets 4x1, it doesn't seem to take affect and just looks like it did to start with.
Also, how do you get the long line to part through both widgets? I know you can stretch the simi clock down but it won't let me use the same line to seperate the fancy widget.
Thanks in advance
Matt
you need luncher pro (you can change widget`s size) , place simi clock on the same end, and just stretch over other widgets
Thanks for the reply. I've already tried doing that but it won't let me because the widgets will conflict with each other, won't let me overlap them.
Also, does anyone know why when I apply a skin to beautiful widgets weather, it doesn't work, it just remains the same.

This shouldnt be the case with Launcher Pro.
If you can setup all of your widgets on the screen, while leaving enough space for the clock widget in its default size you should be fine. As all you do then is press, hold and release the clock widget the stretch it over the other widgets.
The only problem you will run into is then if you wish to manipulate one of the other widgets or the clock widget its self you will have to either remove the clock widget entirely first, or drag it to an empty screen, resize it and drag it back once you have made the required changes.
Hope this helps, was probably written in half jibberish.
Check my signature.
Oh and make sure your SD card is mounted. All Beautiful skins are downloaded to your SD card, so if it's unmounted you'll be stuck with the standard skin.
Thanks again guys, managed to sort it.
For some strange reason i thought i was already using LauncherPro (got the Ultimate Droid rom). Bought LauncherPro Plus and it worked straight away
Thanks again!
Matt

ADW Launcher EX Question

I am using ADW Launcher EX on my Desire, however, I wondered if there was a way to place icons on the Homescreen(s), but not have them align to the grid?
I would like to put 3 icons on one line of my homescreen, with equal spacing at either side.
I hope this makes sense? Is there anyway to do this?
Very roughly, I want to go from this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

good morning,
I think you can do this job on two ways.
First you can variegate your desktop columns. For example to 5.
Second way is to install the "simi folder widget". With this app you can adjust the size of your icon. This app can be so useful and looks very nice.
I hope I could help you.

But this would Screw up the top column, there would be a gap in there?

I have simi folder widget installed and have been using it, however, I cannot figure out how to resize the size of the icon (I know how to resize the Icons within the folder, but not the actual Widget Icon).
Thanks for the help

I use adw with 10 columns and rows,
[1] unlock desktop,[ 2]longpress homescreen select widgets.[ 3] select DV (1x1)small [4]configure 1c+1r [5]dv on homepage short press to options.[ 6]select icon now image if you want to change the application looks or just select application icon.scroll to app and select.[7] now select action,press launch app.select the app, if you dont want a label select clear.press ok and you now have the icon on homepage in the look you want but very small [8]longpress on icon and press option edit. [9] You now have 4 arrows and you can drag and enlarge to wherever you want. Hope this helps.
PS play around with the dv size options a well.
I know how you feel, Ive been wanting the ability to go "of the grid" ever since i started using android. (My last win mobile rom allowed me the ability to but any icon anywhere on the screen, including half on one screen half on another, stacking icons and so on.)
However I think for your situation the easiest solution would be to just change to 9 or 7 columns as follows
_#_#_#_#_
__#_#_#__
or
#_#_#_#
_#_#_#_
You can keep your equal spacing and have your icons staggered

What Are These?

On page 2 of my App selection screen I there are these outlines of what look like icons on the left side of the screen (see attached image). Any idea as to what those are for?
Thanks!

Press on them and you'll be taken to that page of apps. It's more of an indicator if you still have apps on additional pages in the app drawer. Looks cool too with the holo outline.

ah ok good idea thanks!
The perform two functions you don't immediately recognize.
1- Informing you of an overflow situation(i.e. "There's more stuff here")
2- Quick Navigation (Tap on it and it scrolls the page for you)
This is also evident on the homescreens, if you tap the edge of the screens it'll move to the next page for you.
Ha, really OP?
It looks really cool, but unfortunately many apps don't work fully and just show either a circle or square halo. It's great how the default apps have the actual outline.
Does anybody know how that outline is defined for app icons? Does it just take the transparency of the the png?

[Q] 1x1 Widgets and Text

I have been dealing with an annoying fact about 1x1 widgets. They are 1x2 in practice since they contain text, and i dont see much sense on that.
Is there anyway i can get rid of the text, here's my home screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
please note that i wouldnt want to remove the text from the weather widget, im strictly interested on removing the text from the tiny ones that look like icons.
PS, in case somebody wondering:
Weather Widget: 1Weather Widget
Wallpaper: Astronomy Picture of the Week uses NASA's APOD
Lads, anyone?

Look into custom launchers like Apex or Nova - I am using Apex Pro and I have a 4x5 grid with keeps much tighter spacing on text (you can go higher than that, it is all just a matter of personal preference).
So do i, that is Apex Pro there and been an Apex user ever since ICS on my S2. The grid may apply to the icons for what you suggest but it doesnt do anything with 1x1 widgets that look like icons.
I've tried resizing it since Apex supports that, but it wont do it.
A week of googling and it seems this is neglected to the max, im puzzled why people would want text on a 1x1 widget.
In case somebody runs on this with an answer, please dont hesitate to revive the thread.

Your best bet would probably be to decompile widget and to edit the Xml file that had the text or edit the color to be the same as the background color so it just blends in. It would still be there persay but you wouldn't see it cause it would blend in. If you get what I'm saying

[Q] Lockscreen Widget placement

maybe i'm missing something, but is there a way to align the widgets in their collapsed state to one side of the screen or the other, instead of always being top centered?
I like a very minimalistic lock screen, usually with a picture of some sort. I'd like the widget to not cover up the subject of the image, so I'd like to be able to align that widget to the left side of the screen preferably. I understand that when expanded it will take up the entire screen, but when it's collapsed, I just want it to sit in the upper left corner.
I'm running a CM11 nightly, but have had similar issues with the stock touchwiz roms, if that makes a difference.

That's not possible, unfortunately. The best you can do is find a widget that doesn't cover the parts you want exposed, but the widget itself week always be centered (unless you modify the source code yourself).
ok, thanks.
really sucks that it's like that, to me it should be the same as a home screen, just drop it wherever you want it...
I wanted to know if there any way to reduce the home screen weather widget height, it takes lots of space. If I could reduce it I could put another line of apps shortcuts. But on the other side I don’t want to remove the weather widget.
To my knowledge you can't do that.
What you can try is placing a Zooper Widget on the lockscreen. That way you can decide where the information is placed within the widget (You can move the text and all). (If you place a second widget, you can delete the 'main' one and the second one becomes the main lockscreen widget.) For instance, mine looks like this: (This week)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Or you can try a lockscreen replacer.
