I'm looking for an iOS 7 / webos style task switching for my multitasking?
Has anyone found anything like this?

Did you break the recent apps button on your Nexus?
Pretty sure based on the number of views and responses that most Nexus owners are pleased with how Android jellybean handles multitasking. I've seen iOS multitasking and it's kinda like looking through a window to the past.
Good luck on your search:good:
Lol no I didn't break anything ... I just think it looks nicer with the full app card preview

Aside from switching to an iPhone I'm not sure how this could be accomplished.
Multitasking is something built into the system UI and in Android 4.0+ it's handled by the recent apps button. In all honesty after having my Nexus 4 since launch I'm still learning to use "recent apps" more and more. I personally like how Android does it. I think it looks just as beautiful and is just as intuitive as the rest of Jellybean is. You get a miniature view of all open apps with a preview to it's content just by hitting recent apps.

Try this app called "Switchr"
I think it's on the play store
It's not exactly like iOS 7's multitasking but is somewhat alike.

This is a nice UI from a gingerbread device Infobar A01 from Japan ,
Mixed WP7 and Android feel. Is there any similar launcher?
Saw this on the Android GAF thread. Looks super awesome. Nice to see a OEM/Manafactuer make a totally different UI as opposed to Sense/TouchWiz etc which barely changes the style of Android
love it!!
ok im moving to japan now! bye
Someone absolutely needs to make a launcher out of this. please.

I've been keeping a close eye on Fipplr, and recently pinged the CEO/Founder of the company behind it since I hadn't heard from her in a while. She told me that because of legal concerns, they decided to modify the look and feel. I'm still super excited for it though, and she's promised to keep me updated and let me know when they have any renders/details of the new style.

The UI in the video has a WM 6.1 system bar on top. I wouldn't get your hopes up for this on Android just yet.

Wouldn't use it, really don't like it.
Knowing me I'd want all my tools/games on the main screen and there would be too much scrolling. I don't see how that's any better then what's currently out there.

That's prettyy much like a totally black Android toolbar with white icons... and any way, the phone advertised IS an Android phone with a June(??) release date (hopefully).
Thats ugly, the screen is too crowded, everything is too fat and bulky, theres no room for a wallpaper, vertical scrolling is boring, and the category title bars are too thick

Or, go back to SGS. Its a much better phone than Nexus S. Soon you would miss other things about it as well.
I took the same journey assuming Nexus S to be better and feel for AOSP experience, but was glad to be back on SGS. New JVP ROM (2.3.4) has totally transformed the experience on SGS.
99% of people that have owned both phones would probably disagree with you. Yea, galaxy s has nice features. Doesn't touch the nexus s though. Sorry

AGREED 100% this is coming from a guy who started off with motorola milestone>SGS>HTC desire Z> now the SNS. and i can say without a doubt the SNS is the best, even without a qwerty keyboard. I love the roms out there and pure google experience just gotta get used to touch screen but the gingerbread keyboard made that one a piece of cake!
I should have mentioned I9000. Not the one you get in US with keyboard. In what respects do you reckon NS is better?

Every. I prefer stock android over TW or Sense or Blur. We have i9000 equivalents here in the states as well. The vibrant is nearly the same device. We actually have 5 or 6, maybe a few more variants of GS phones here.

MiUi is mimics iOS5.x almost in every fashion. If you were to lay a iOS theme on it, and did a screen shot no one would know the difference.
Resolution
MiUi sounds like a great mimic, and I'm going to give it a try. But is there any way to make it the primary operating system of a phone like the Droid X? What is the fundamental difference between the phones that is preventing migration?
Try iLauncher by SUCKGAMONI on the Google Playstore. If you want the MIUI launcher here it is:View attachment MIUI_Launcher_3.1.apk
(This is not my work)

I am only asking out of curiosity and not out of a desire. I know that ios is not open source so making an ios rom is not realistic, but if super hacker really wanted to, could he or she make it work some how? Or what about a program which could sniff out the source code for closed source platforms?
I am very happy with Android no desire for iPhone(unless free) just asking

i dont think it would be too hard to port for a pro, the problem would be with drivers. how will iOS know what to do with your htc/samsung/etc hardware?
Theoretically, given unlimited amount of time and unlimited determination, one could make such a port work, at least partially.
Practically, given different HW of those phones, the amount of time and determination required to port anything newer than iOS3 are close to insane - unrealistic enough for anybody to want to do it.
If one were to say make a port of ios, would it be illegal to release it being that ios is closed source or would this fall under fair use? More than likely Apple would sue who ever released it lol

c'mon dude. why the hate. miui is probably the only rom that google considers when they look for inspiration. and that says something. i havent noticed they're looking here. in some parts 4.2 is basically a holo version of miui. i am really, really impressed from what i've seen. it may not be my style (holo fanboy), but they do bring fresh ideas and creativity to the table.

especially miui v5 looks very interesting and awesome
The reason I ask is my wife and some of my customers love their iPhone. Hate the android lock screen and no notifications on lock, the fact that they would have to setup addons to receive notifications on phone, voice, and SMS, etc. After trying to help my wife move over from her iPhone to a new nexus 4, little things like this made her want her iPhone back. I used miui for awhile back on my my touch and it has all of these stock. I think its a great addition to the Eco system and would be an easier move to for iPhone users. Thoughts?
