Stamina mode working. - Xperia Z General

UK generic .244 R6B - (since pcc release)
Was messing around last night and noticed that stamina mode is suddenly working?
It wasnt working (not changing the time) after updating and hasnt since.
But now its working fine? anyone else had this? as my friends z is still showing no difference when activating stamina mode.
Strangely, the only thing I have changed recently was getting xda premium xD

Nothing starnge.. many people have faced this issue and, it automatically started working. no one knows whats causing the issue or whats solving it

Found differences in R6B after reset phone.
Found and suspected something interesting which is same as our 4.1.2 .350 firmware and inside this 4.2.2 .244 R6B firmware
BE (Belgium) : minor APK for stamina Mode called "Eco Mode Controller"(i forgot the size) which is kinda useless until i need use "BatteryGuru Qualcomm" to get power-saving mode
UK (United Kingdom): minor APK for stamina Mode called "Extended Standby Mode Controller" (about 20.00KB) which is working properly !!! On Par with "BatteryGuru On with Stamina Mode Off". I only got this thing when i reflash UK FTF with wipe data) I suspecting something different that makes staminamode working back..hmm

Hello, I'm having a problem, my Wakelock Detector detects a lot of wake time (72%) by a kernel wakelock named "wlan_wake" and I don't really know how to solve it! I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 with the 4.3 android version, official release, and this started to happend less than a week ago. I cleaned cache and dalvik, I tryed to let the wifi always off, and nothing worked... Solutions?

EVERY TIME!!
Ohh yes.. And I know that if i turn of the WIFI the problem is gone..
BUT!!! I want the Wifi to be ALWAYS on..
Please help!!!
I would suggest doing a full wipe on your ROM or trying a different kernal. By the way, using CAPS and a lot of !!!!!!! will just make people not want to help you.
Same here. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533853

I have the same issue... Maybe it's just a false report, like with Bluetooth before ( it was saying that bluetooth take like 7% of battery and was keeping the device awake while in fact it was not)
I'm on stock kitkat 4.4.2 20D EUR open with cloudyfa kernel (I have a custom recovery and KnockCode doesn't work with KK stock kernel)

Download wakelock detector from the play store. You will have to root your phone for the app to work properly.
Let it run for a day then post the results of the app on here and I can tell you what's causing this issue.

Very bad WiFi connection since a week

Hello, since a week my connection is very bad.
I think it's after formatting to f2fs.
Now I'm using ext4 and a TouchWiz Rom but the connection is still bad. I think after changing to TouchWiz it was good for one day.
I'm Facebook and instagram the pictures loading after an hour and it takes very long to download an app from playstore.
It does take very long to show the pictures in play store. But after wating till the download starts, it downloads at normal speed. Don't know why [emoji15]
Wrong section. Post in QnA please. Btw you seriously waited an hour for FB picture to show?!?
Didn't know that I was in the wrong section. I want sure that my phone started the thread because of the internet problems.
I didint wait so long but it feels like that.
Here an example

Battery usage shows that WiFi is always turned on in Lollipop (N9005)

Hi
I noticed that the battery usage shows that my WiFi is always on even though I'm pretty sure it's never turned on.
Is this a general bug in all Lollipop versions? And if so could it be the reason for the battery drain in the Android 5.0?

In my Lollipop polish official version is the same bug.
LOL that isn't a problem related with Lollipop, it was there from Jelly Bean and it's not a problem, I think it's some kind of feature! Just turn off always scanning option under WiFi option (menu-advanced).

I tried turning the options you mentioned off but nothing changed. I was told that the N900 models also shows the same problem with Lollipop, so I guess this is a general bug :/ . Hopefully Samsung will fix it with an update ASAP.

GPS Won't Fix Location

Hi good people of xda.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me as I'm at the end of my tether.
I recently noticed that my GPS wasn't working whilst running Goldfinger v8.
So I tried all the usual fixes (tightening screws, faster fix, topNTP, changing csc) and nothing works. I flashed back to a stock unrooted 4.4.2 firmware for my location UK (BTU) via odin and that didn't work. I am currently running Goldeneye v49.2 as the last time i remember my gps working was on a much earlier version of that rom (v20 something) but it isn't available to download anymore so i thought i'd try the latest but to no avail.
Unlike others that seemed to report no satellites in view, my phone sees them but will not get a fix .
I have also never used a 4.4.4 rom as I know that can cause gps problems when reverting back to 4.4.2.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Same problem here..help
I'm starting to think my gps is broken. If I put my phone in flight mode and open gps test it sees satellites but they are clustered in one direction
If I disable flight mode as soon as my phone connects to wifi I get a normal looking image.
I have tried so many stock firmwares, modems and cscs I've lost count. I've tried 4.4.2, 4.4.4 tw roms & 5.0.1 aosp and nothing is allowing me to get a gps lock. I haven't dropped my phone (much) and had what I'd call a heavy impact to have damaged the internal gps receiver/aerial so I'm really at a loss now. Looks like I'll be buying a new phone sooner than I thought
