Does the N4 have an eq that I can use while listening to music via Bluetooth in my car? I want to adjust some settings when listening to podcasts or live music apps.

Stock should include musicfx. Other than that, there are plenty in the Play Store.

What do you mean "when I click on it"? MusicFX sucks for BT streaming anyways. I highly recommend ViPER4Android. I used to require speaker boost apps and have all my volume settings for my phone and car stereo on max just to be able to hear the streaming music. Now, with V4A I don't need any extra booster apps and my BT streaming sounds just as clear and loud as a CD.

You can try Noozxoide EIZO-rewire.

You are supposed to use the A8 drivers for the Nexus 4 if you go by the instructions in the V4A thread. However I got better sound with the A9/A15 drivers. I also installed V4A on an sgh-I747m and the A8 drivers worked best on that device.

I've had this problem for quite a long time and never been able to play music via voice commands in Google Now. I would say 'play "song title or artist" '. But I would just search what I said on Google.
I have a nexus 4.... Cm10.2 nightly. Canada.

I have always had this problem with Google now. Would be nice if it worked and if it was part of the offline voice dictation. You could try Utter, very functional and customizable voice control. Don't really think a bump was necessary...

I don't believe it even worked when I was on stock ROM. I'm thinking its because I'm in Canada? Maybe these features have only rolled out to the US? Correct me if I'm wrong

Ya i tried both listening and playing commands.
Whats worse is i get my music from online sources since i listen to djs . So the fields of name and song arent correctly filled. Why there is no simple program that can separate or fill the data in automatically is beyond me. Seems pretty easy. Thats the artist and thats the song title
wish i can just say a command and it will play a random song, and then i can give commands to go to next song vocally or something. Was looking into MotoX so i can go handsfree but seems google play needs more updates
Hello,
As the title says, I need a recommendation for a good call recorder app. I need an app that automatically saves my 10 last calls (or so) with the ability to save the important once permanently.
And another thing: it is important to me that it will record through 2-way kernel and not through the mic due to poor sound quality. From my understanding it is a kernel feature, and honestly, I have no idea if mine supports it or which other one does.
I run PA 3.99.1-RC1 with its official PA kernel.
Thanks a bunch in advance!

It says that the record is 00:00:00 and it is an error caused because I chose "PhoneLine" recording..

Well I do hear pretty good although the sound level of me speaking is way louder than the other person on the line..
What causes the PhoneLine not to work?

I think you need kernel hack to do it and no one did it here.

Does someone know of an app or a fix to disable all input from the headphone button? My apple headphone button seems to be broken, it constantly keeps on pausing the music and bringing up Google now, that's why I want to disable it. I know there is an app called Headset Blocker on the play store and it seems to do exactly what I want, but for some reason its incompatible.

Hello guys I have a quick question.. I have a problem with my speakers.. Phone and headphone jack... when I plug in my headphones the music starts and the beat sounds nice and the but I can't hear the voice.. It's always faded but the beat sounds fine.. Also the onboard speaker does the same but not as nearly as severe but a reboot fixes the onboard speaker and goes back to normal.. Is my headphone jack done for? Again the beat sounds fine but voice is non existent.. Is weird. Thanks in advance.

Do you an app that adjusts the sound? like an equalizer app or sound app? When i had a galaxy s3 if i had it in rock mode or anything other than stock the sound was not as clear as in stock mode.
A similar thing happened with my iPod Touch. It turned out to be the headphones. Maybe try some new ones? I am not sure of the onboard speaker problem however.

Yeah I tried my computer speakers and sound works but still sounded a bit funny.. Not enough to notice though.. I'll check a different pair of headphones when I can.. And yeah I did flash one of those sound mods from the nexus 4 apps section but I uninstalled it..
