ROM Toolbox has a recovery installer that includes TWRP. Just run the install; it'll overwrite current recovery.
It's under Tools - ROM Management - Recovery

I don't recommend using an app to install a custom recovery. I've seen too many reports of people bricking their device with it.
It's just as easy to use a simple tool to do it...this is the one I prefer:

It lets you pick TWRP or CWM and will do the whole thing for you.

If you use rom manager or goo manager ONLY for putting a recovery on it works pretty well. It's when you use it to flash roms is when you can get into trouble. I'd recommend deleting it after getting your recovery. It's too easy to play with it and find the wrong rom for your device. Especially for someone new to flashing.

Go into the clockwork mod app and click flash clockwork and choose epic but make sure that the rom zip is on the root of your sd card not a folder. Yeah the epic experiance rom never says anything about being compatible with clockwork tho.

To be able to use rom manger to reboot into recovery you need to have a boot kernel that works with rom manager. If you flashed recovery the only way to get to it is by the volume down camera buttonv power button combo. Using quick boot or adb reboot recovery will take you into stock recovery in the boot kernel if you do this you need to select the flash update.zip line in recovery to get into clockwork.

Hot to load boot loader

my phone is rooted I've granted ROM manager super user permission. Flash ROM manager....but I can not get it to reboot into recovery. Please help.

Once you download and install ROM Manager, you need to go into it and install Clockworkmod. Then use the ROM Manager to boot into recovery.
Still doesn't work...could it be the ROM or could it be the actual root itself

Hmmm.....Try downloading/installing Droid 2 Bootstrap. Then try to go to recovery from there.
If that doesn't work then something went wrong when you rooted.

[QUESTION] ClockworkMod Recovery

How do I flash CM Recovery onto my MyTouch 3G?
All tutorials I have encountered so far seem to confuse me and I tried flashing it using ROM Manager and it just didn't work (even though it said it was successful).
Please help =(

CWM Recovery*

When you try to flash cwm recovery image through Rom manager, it should give you 3 or 2 options, choose ion/mytouch 3g
If you've already done that, reflash and then from Rom manager reboot into recovery to test, if that doesn't work, try amonras recovery image

[Q] What app/method do you use to boot into CWM recovery?

I just rooted and installed CWM and I'm wondering what method you use to get into CWM recovery? I'm currently using rom manager free and heard that rom toolbox is the newer, more current app that has the ability to boot into recovery as well as other perks.
What do you use?
I use jr3 rom. Holding power button gives the option.

I'm on Jr4 so it's in the power menu but Rom Manager would be my next choice.

Cwm install?

I'm just after rooting and would like to install clockworkmod so that I can do a nandroid backup.
Where can I download the files?

OK I've ROM manager installed. So is that basically cwm or what? I'm new this.
If I want to flash a new ROM, I just make a backup of current stock ROM using the back up feature and then click install ROM?

Simply..no. You have successfully got root access? I would start by uninstalling ROM manager and install goo manager from pstore, from there you can install a custom recovery ( CWM or TWRP ). I would also suggest doing a backup as soon as you install cwm or twrp before trying to flash Roms!

Yes, I have root access and Superuser and busybot files installed. But no CWM
I don't understand why rom manager is so different to goo manager? Do I need to download CWM from somewhere else or does it come with Rom/Goo manager?
Very confusing to know what to do now.
You can use ROM manager but I think most prefer goo manager or ROM toolbox. I prefer goo, a lot of people are using twrp instead of cmw as it does things different ( backup to USB/ smaller backups) if you use goo just open go to top right corner, click, select install open recovery and follow instructions to install the recovery of choice. Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Have CM10 flashed now.
Just wondering is there an easier/quicker way to get all my apps and data back on the nexus rather than manually one by one installing from playstore again??
I've titanium backup pro and I made a backup before I flashed if that's any good?
If you backed up apps you can open titanium go to top right, click on the folder with check mark and restore from there ( just apps not system) or just click on backup restore and do them individually.
