This has been cleared already and not the place to post this question but anyways. Check your setting about device. Take a screenshot and post it here. It just could be you have two different firmwares on your phone.

If its what I think. Where it says you have to reboot. You have to go I to system/app with a root browser and delete Knox apk. As far as WiFi try flashing a different kernel.

If you get a message that you can't update because you have modified something you can try triangle away it has an option to disable root for a few minutes after you reboot the phone.
Let me know how it goes. Good luck

That's why you flash a stock rooted MF9 ROM if you want to be on the latest and rooted.

S4 rebooting as soon as I boot it!?
Hi!
So I followed Djembeys guide to root my s4 back when ME2/MF2(or smthn in that matter)was the newest firmware avable. But now I wanted to go back to stock and update my phone and as stated in the guide that would be no problem, well OTA didn't work so i did it via Kies. It worked as expected for a while before my phone started freezing and rebooting itself forever, like as soon as i get into the launcher.
Things I've tryed to do:
*Checking in download mode that everything is official, it is, and the phone doesn't seem to reboot while in download mode, should I flash a stock rom, I mean, what if the phone shuts off in the middle of the process?
*Doing a factory data reset via stock recovery, the "android" in recovery falls down and a triangle at his stomach. However the data reset worked, but it didn't solve the problem, still reboots but now when the phone is trying to set itself up.
What can i do guys? You think i can send it back to the store seeing everything is official in download mode?

Lost root

I lost root and now this is on my screen after flashing a lock screen mod that broke my wifi. Tried my nandroid and it failed and said I lost root. Has anyone aeen this before?

That's odd... Which lock screen mod did you try to install? (make sure it's compatible!)
My advice would just be to Odin it. It's really strange that a nandroid backup didn't take care of it
Did you change the kernel at all?
That pop up looks like one of the things you can do on developer options.

Thanks guys. Just let sprint. They tried fir 2 hours to makes that message dissappear. Flashed new software several times. The tech finally gave up and ordered me a new phone. She said it was hardware related.

MF3 Stock

I rooted MF3 and all I have is root, is there anyway I can return back to stick with complete restore? If not, I can just back everything up. I will do it no matter what. My phone is working just fine, just wanted to go back to stock?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
If you mean unroot, then you unfortunately cannot do that at the moment. There is no MF3 factory image to flash back to, as of now at least.

What do you mean, back to stock? The way it came out of the box? The way it is now unrooted? Not sure what you want to do. And how are you backing it up?
Apps don't matter to me. I can send all my pictures and text messages etc. To the computer. I mean unroot, sorry. But since there isn't any, I will just have to wait it out. Thanks for the information.

It's probable that you can unroot. Do you have super su? You can do an unroot in settings within it.
Yes, I have super su, is that safe? Then I will do it?

I've never tried it with mf3 so I can't answer that. It works on other firmware. Why do you want to unroot?
Because, I've always had bad luck with root and everything never works for me when I try it. Once a stable rom comes out, I will try my luck, but not at this moment.

Good choice. Sorry I can't be of more help
I don't think just rooting is going to cause issues. Keep it and enjoy those benefits for now.
My BackUp Pro is good for backing up most things on phone. Of course you got Titanium BackUp too.
I didn't even want to flash roms on this phone. After years of doing it I was getting tired. But, did it anyway. I like TW, so don't care about aosp etc. All I really gained from flashing was some theming and nandroids. Phone, I thought, was exceptional even unrooted.
There is now stock available which was taken from Samsung Kies. Just download the file and you'll be able to flash it in odin!
Can you provide a screen shot... Last anyone knew there is no MF3 on Kies.

Your unedited post made it sound like you already ran it--
"Just make sure you're on windows and it'll work beautifully! It was only til recently that mf3 started to show up through Kies. Thank AdamOuler, he's the real genius behind all of this!:
I don't know about complete restore, but some people where successful on unrooting on mf3. I didn't try it. If anybody is interested, here it is:

Update: just did the unroot method on mf3,and it fully unroot when I used root checker, it said sorry. So I guess it gone. Still runny fine five minutes after.

First one to help me wins a thousand dollars...

I am rooted on a mdk build. I was previously rooted and had twrp custom recovery. Ran bunch of roms then kinda got tired of messing around and always having to do a full wipe in order to try different roms so I uprooted and went back to stock completely.
It hasn't been a week and I already decided to go back to root and throw on a different rom. I rooted again, but am having a lot of trouble installing twrp and clockwork recoveries.
When I try goomanager I come to the screen to install the recovery and I get a "webpage not available" every time. When I try to do it manually I get a fail message. I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Through clockwork, I install the recovery, and it tells me that it was installed successfully. I try to access it and I get the Verizon error message saying that unauthorized software was found and to shut the phone off and bring it to nearest vzw, Yea Ok!
So I'm lost at this point, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Best way out of this.
Install CyanogenMod Installer on your desktop and plug your phone in. It will install cwm and custom rooted phone. As simple as that.
I did the same as you and this I found really easy and fast

What I would do personally then is download Kies on desktop and do a full system restore. I lost my Recovery by going from routed to stock and couldn't do anything at all.
This sorted it all out.

Don't use goomamager. Try this. Sorry looked through your first post again.
Download a cwm recovery, go to recovery and flash it through there. If that doesn't work then see if you can find a 'flashable in Odin' ROM that confess with CWM that comes with it. Try that. That will definitely work.

I would have done that but when I try and get in the stock recovery, I get the Verizon error messaging saying unsupported software. I can't get into stock recovery at all.

Same issue I had. I just went into download mode and flashed a CWM through Odin. Or a ROM through Odin. Keep trying that maybe

Odin the stock firmware and start all over. Root, then use rom manager or goo manager to put in the custom recovery. Then get rid of the manager.
