Hi, I am having some sound issues during video calls only. There is no sound coming out of the external speaker during video calls, not only that I cannot hear them but they cannot hear me. My sound is working on everything else like ringtones, music, videos etc. except for video calls. I made sure that my volume is turned all the way up and mute is off during video calling.
I have a GT-i9505 and using this rom: [ROM] WORLD PREMIERE: I9505 XXMGA DEODEX [4.2.2] - Pre-Rooted Stock ROM with call recording installed. I also installed the sound boost mod from another post.
I am not sure if it's the Rom, the sound boost mod, an app or something else that's causing this issue.
Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks.

does anyone face a problem with sound recording ?? when i record i hear back the recorded audio i hear a lotttt of noise , why is this happening i flashed radio and several cooked roms .
please i need someones help
anyone ???
yes, exact same thing here, it's like the mic gain skyrockets to the clouds, I hear an astounding high-pitch noise as if there was a hurrican blowing inside the mic, and this happens even if I record sound in a very quiet room.
On the other side, I use ACR to record all calls, and nothiong like it happens, my voice is clear on the recorded audio...
Audio on the soundrecorder and on the videocamera is simply useless instead.
Hi everyone, when i am talking with someone and i turn on the speaker the voice call quality is kind of bad, i hear crackling and poping sounds. Now when i play a movie or music through the speaker its fine so its just the voice calls..i am wondering if this is normal and if anyone else is experiencing this at full volume. I am using the Lightening rom if that matters.

Can please someone test this? It will really help me. Just switch to speaker while on a call and max the volume to see if you hear distortion. Thank you in advance.
Hi! I am currently running Wanamlite v3.4 (GT-i9500) and just a bit of curiosity I tried entering the Test/Service Menu. All of the tabs are working, then I noticed that nothing happens when I press Speaker, but when I try pressing the Speaker (R), a loud music plays. From my understanding, S4, both international versions have only 1 Loud Speaker. I can still hear the ringtones whenever someone calls or texts me, notifications and also perfectly functioning for both video and music playback, so that means the loud speaker works fine. Then I have read in another thread that S4 has 2 speakers, left and right, and the Speaker tab corresponds with the Left Speaker? It is quite confusing.
Hope someone can enlighten me on this. I hate bringing this to a Samsung Service Center.
Many thanks!
Hello,
i have a problem with viber videocalls and speaker loudness. Its really low, that i badly can hear my opposite, so i have to use the headphone(good loudness).
normal phonecalls, videos and mp3s have good loudness over the Speaker and the headphone.
i have stock 4.4.2 Rom with root.
is this Problem known?
Not sure what's caused this but volume on my phone is extremely low, can barely hear caller. loud Speaker works fine.
I'm rooted and on custom rom and i've flashed another rom still same issue.

Could be a speaker issue. How do the speakers sound for music and videos? Was it like that on the stock rom out the box? Did you wipe data between flashes?
